Hi folks! Wanted to bring a few things up for M3E and where we're at on things as we go forward. BOOKS! In the past, we've been able to confidently expedite our books from our printers direct to us without much in the way of interference - not quite the case anymore! In this last month plus, we've dealt with a naval blockade (a first for us!), the ship that it was booked on being returned to port for a full inspection (also a first!), after it made its appearance here at port in the US an extended stay of near two weeks with customs (sadly, not a first, or last), not to mention all the hullabaloo from there to here. With imports being what they are at the moment, it just seems to be a bit of the new norm for us. Keeping the unexpected in mind we're adjusting out times and expectations on this end to avoid disappointment in the community. We would rather push back the street date of our books and be upfront about it than be silently hopeful and late. The good news is that this should only affect our Faction books. Our Core Rulebook and our other M3E products that we are releasing over the course of June through September should remain on schedule without any issues. PDF PROMOTION Speaking of books, we will be running a promotion to make up for this delay. From June 28th through December 15th, with the purchase of a physical copy of any new M3E core rulebook or Faction book, send in your proof of purchase and receive the PDF for free via DrivethruRPG. You'll need a free account set up there to download the PDF. We’ll have details on how to redeem the promotion will be linked on the forums and our webpage very soon. APPS The decision has been made for multiple reasons not to update the Bad Things Happen app to 3rd Edition, though it will still be available for those that continue to play 2E. We are currently working on a new application that will be available for IOS, Android, as well as web-based that will be provided to the community absolutely free. We expect the development to be completed within two to three months. We will be opening it for testing in the forums here in the near future. TRANSLATIONS We are pleased to see our International Community continue to grow and recognize the importance of translations. Due to the scope of the work (our translation studio was even a bit surprised), we will be staggering the release just a bit. The rules themselves will be released first, and for free, over the coming months in the following languages: Spanish, French, German, Italian, Polish, and Russian. Due to the number of cards and rules on them, those will take just a touch longer, but also will be released for free to our overseas communities. Please bear with us as we work through this process - your communities are a priority for us. It just takes a bit of time to get it done right. If you have any concerns over the quality of the translations or layouts, please take a look at our TOS rules and cards which have already been provided. STORE PROMOS Everyone keeps asking, and yes, we're going to be bringing back store promos, starting in August and going forward. More information to follow on that.

Hello Wyrdos!! I'm Brett your new friendly neighborhood Hobby Assistant here at Wyrd Miniatures. I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself and tell you a little about me and why I'm here at Wyrd. I have been in gaming since I was a kid starting with Monopoly (I'm extremely cutthroat and will have you begging for a welfare check in no time). I have been a part of several gaming communities from Miniature War gaming to TCGs. I used to run tourneys for several games such as Raw Deal (WWE TCG), Pokemon, Magic the Gathering, Heroclix, Privateer Press and of course Malifaux as far back as 1st Edition. I look forward to helping our beloved Henchman provide a fun and rewarding casual and Tournament environment for all Wyrdos current and future. Your support and the support of the community is my main priority here at Wyrd and I look forward to seeing you online and in person soon.

Dual masters will show up in both books, as well as Faction Decks. Dead Mans Hand models will be available via Faction Decks as well as downloadable online. And no, most of yall who have been tossing out prices are still considerably off. Yes, eventually they will all become available as PDF books. Only the core rulebook and stat cards are being translated. Fluff and the like is not. If you're concerned about the translations, take a look at the free TOS rules/translations and go from there. We learned our lessons there and worked with professionals instead of enthusiasts or quite bluntly, folks talking out their asses and not delivering. For those hoppin' and hollerin' about the number of books and being forced to purchase and that this is an outright money grab - well, you are entitled to your opinion of course. That being said, the rules, and cards, in multiple languages, are going to be available 100% free. You don't need to spend a dime in the least if you don't wish in order to transition to M3E. Lastly, if we had crammed everything into one book, that would have been spendy - not to mention heavy enough to bludgeon someone to death with.

Hey Wyrdos, We’re thrilled to announce that on Wednesday, January 16th, we will be launching an OPEN BETA for Malifaux Third Edition! Many of you have gone through the grueling process of testing the game to get its rules and models to this point, and we couldn’t possibly thank you enough for that. Rest assured that the vast majority of that work will remain intact. The intent of the Open Beta is to get Malifaux Third Edition from where it is (a great spot) and bring it up one more level (to a fantastic spot). This means that our focus will be on polish. Clarity, grammar, theme, and fine tuning numbers are our targets this time around. There are still a few crews and models that need some final tweaks, so if you have more feedback, we’re still listening. We want to hear your thoughts on your favorite (and least favorite) characters before we officially launch Third Edition. So, for those who have been rigorously playtesting our game, now is your chance to share your thoughts and enthusiasm with the rest of the community. Those NDAs that you signed? Consider them lifted. Let us know where you think M3E stands and what you think it’ll take to bring it across the finish line. Henchmen, keep a close eye on the super-secret Henchmen forum in regards to running M3E events and tournaments. We’ll have some special announcements for you folks in the next few days. That’s it from us! We’ve got to hunker down and iron out those wrinkles before next Wednesday. We’ll have more info for you at that time. See you then!

Hah .... no. They aren't all going to be gold gilded lay flat hard-back books. Doesn't even get close to that price. We've not announced prices as of yet, that'll come here shortly as we finish up a few things. That being said, rules, cards, etc - all released for free online. No one has to spend a dime on any of it if they don't care to. Now if you want nicer books, professionally printed stat cards that are coated, additional background, etc - you have other options available.

Hey Wyrdos, This week, we don’t have anything particularly special going on in the office. Despite our reports last week, the end times didn’t happen. Waldo is up to his usual self, eating everything in sight that he hasn’t already set on fire. We did have to get a boat just to navigate our flooded warehouse, but who doesn’t like a quiet night on a lazy river? Oh, I guess there was one thing we should probably announce… That’s right. You can download the Malifaux Third Edition Rules right now, for free, two days early. In the rulebook, you’ll find everything you need to know on how to play the game. But that’s not all. We have also released our M3E Stat Cards early. What you’ll find on the site today are all of the Stat Cards that you would find in the Faction Packs, which includes all of the standard previously released Stat Cards from the last edition. This is a great way to start playing with the models you have right now! You can download the files by clicking this link! If you’re looking for higher quality card stock, you will be able to find these cards on DriveThruRPG/WarGameVault next week. If you’re interested in writing on your cards, then your best bet is to scoop up the Faction Pack of your choice, as those cards will have that nice, glossy finish that will allow for dry erase markers to be wiped away without any smudging. Any cards for future models will become available on our website in the very near future. When a new model is released, its Stat Card will become available during the same month. Because it’s June, the Stat Cards for Basse, Youko, and Burning Bridges are currently available. Come September, when all of the Faction Books are out in the wild, all Stat Cards for M3E will be available on our website for free, as well. As a reminder, all of our free content on our website is for personal use only and not for resale, print, or inclusion in any third party apps. That’s it from us. You won’t want to miss next week!

Caedrus, reporting in! Well, what a month! So many gorgeous works. Where to start? @PetitDalek: You’ve done a great job on your facial reconstruction surgery! For me, though, I love the gentle orange and red tones in the Ophelia’s skin (and nice, shiny hair, too!). @Wintergloom: I do love your style. I think that my favourite bit of your style is the contrast between the desaturated and the saturated (like the turquoise highlights), and your gentle contrast work with fabrics. Just lovely brushwork. @Phinn: I’m awaiting the Rat of May! Looking forward to the character you’ve put into this rodent! @Kimberly: Pamela Poovey doesn’t have red hair! @Franchute: Gorgeous, mischievous gamin! For me, the thing that really sets these models is the hint OSL on the skulls on the base. Very smooth. I also love the peeking-eye on the riotbreaker. @Viruk: I’m terribly envious, of your cohesion in the Marcus set, the gorgeous paintwork (love the face in the Marcus treestump), and that you get to play with some early releases. Wyrd chose a good painter to showcase their models. You’ll do them tremendous justice. @Rathnard: I think that good scenery and terrain is the most underappreciated part of the hobby. You’ve created some beautiful models, and just as beautiful a place to play! Kudos! @Stranglelove: There’s so much to love on your (huge) efforts this month! I think Jaakuna is my favourite (the zombie just breaching the swamp is wonderfully horrifying!). The Kirai set is magnificent. @Nikodemus: That domador is a very kind gift! My fave this month has to be Chiaki, though. A fantastic desaturated paintjob. @bedjy: That is a serious production line you’ve got going on. @muraki: Big Jake’s flesh tones are super smooth. Nice. @Diddick: The Stolen are super-creep with the glowing eyes. Nice basework, too. As previously said, huzzah for ghost poopy! @lusciousmccabe: Lovely Vodel / Beast. I love the smashed-base versions. I’ve updated the Spreadsheet for the moment, and I’d love for you to have a look, let me know if there are any errors, and/or let know your total at the end of the month! For those yet to finalise their SS count for the month ( @Aa7, @bedjy, @Boomstick, @Burnin' Coal, @Chou, @khilin, @LordZombie, @Maxooo, @misterfinn, @Phinn, @Polar43, @Primate, @prof_bycid, @Sol_Sorrowsong, @Stranglelove, @Thedeadclaw, and @wobbly_goggy), please let me know your count, preferably with an "@Caedrus". So, this month has been ridiculously busy for me, but I found the time to do a little bit of late-night painting. First off, the disappointment! I’ve been working away at two Death Marshalls, only to find that I have misplaced their Pine Boxes! So, until I find them, they’re on hold! Here’s one for preview purposes! Next up, a quick-ish Insidious Madness. It’s an eBay rescue, and I decided to see how creepy it would be if I painted it in flesh tones. As it turns out, fairly creepy. I was torn between doing it with a slimy coat of liquid water, to create a nasty appearance, or keeping it dry. Any thoughts? Also, the mouth-arm thing that is opening/tearing – should I add some drool? I’m thinking yes. 5SS for this guy. Next up, a proxy! I’ve never been a big fan of either Hungering Darkness, neither the Spermapillar, nor the Hipposquid. So, I decided to paint up this guy. He’s huge, he’s tentacle-y, he’s my Hungering Darkness! Now, as a bonus shot, because I was messing about (amateurishly) with Photoshop: Finally, my last miniature of the Month of May is my Recruiter, for 7SS. So, I was pleased about the NMM metal (I’m getting slowly better), and the OSL lighting. The cloak-dress (which used a base colour of ScaleColor Red Leather) also turned out nicely. I was a little less pleased with my sculpting; the head is a little far back, the clavicles too prominent and low, the hat too far back and too high. With my 3SS Wendigo, and my 7SS Witchling Handler, that brings me to 22SS for the month! Whew! I hope life is a little more under control for June! If you’re still to submit, I’d love to see your work! Caedrus.

Let's see if I can answer a few questions. Yes, the goal is to have all distributors sorted in advance so that they can get the product to retailers by the 28th of June, or as close as possible to that. Naturally, any number of things can go to shit between here and there, but we're looking good unless something pops up. Overseas and outside the US distributors get their product sent out first, then the US - that being said, each distributor outside the US picks its own manner in which to ship product and we are not responsible for any delays on their part (awaiting other orders from manufacturers so that it can all go on one boat for a cheaper price, etc, etc). Then of course if customs decides to get cute or weather decides to wreck a port or some other stuff. Outside of stuff like that, we're looking good. Not everything is being resculpted - not even close. We will be updating/redoing crew boxes as time goes on, some sooner than others, particularly if there is a large change to their box layout as at the end of the day, time to cut/repackage/touch everything and the chance for screwup kinda outweighs just getting a new mold done. Some boxes will be getting a whole makeover. Others will have bits and pieces of it. People keep tossing about the idea that these molds are wearing out and thus the reason for XYZ - lemme tell you - we would have to sell a LOOOOOOT more before these things blow out. We will be updating our Upcoming Releases, Retailer section and a few other things here over the next week to get additional information out, advertising images, etc. Rules and cards will be released online for free. You can download them and print for your own purposes. They are not and will not be allowed to be tied into custom programs/apps - online or offline - nor for other folks to exploit direct sales from (printing cards out and selling them). They'll be some language letting you know what you can and can't do - we're pretty easy with it, but as with anything, some folks will happily ignore for their own wants/sake. Drivethrurpg and Wargamesvault will have the cards available as a print on demand service and you'll have the option of picking up one card, whole factions, by keyword - etc. We'll try to make it as simple as possible. When the translations are available as well (hopefully at launch or shortly thereafter), these will also be placed online for POD. They are actively seeking a printer/partner in Europe and beyond, so if you have suggestions for them (contact them, not me) feel free, otherwise yes, all orders from there will be printed and shipped from the US. Special orders, either directly from us, or from your retailer through distribution is available both inside the US and outside. That being said, it is only for boxes that have been combined or changed up in a manner that say only a single new miniature has been placed within a box (we'll use Alphonse for instance) and the only way you could get it would be to purchase the box all over again. We're not interested in jacking over our customers like that - but we're also not going to go in and allow this for each and every model in the line as that's frankly entirely too much work and ultimately self-defeating. Also why there is a time limit on this. If you're going to want a Wanyudo for your Reva, you'll need to purchase the box - we'll not be breaking that one up. Small rulebook - we keep getting asked about it, so very likely we'll take a serious look at it after the launch. Wouldn't be overly difficult to manage.

So here are both Marcus crews that I've painted as part of this challenge this year. I'd like to share with you what I'm currently working on but those are some minis that will be released by Wyrd later in the year so this will have to wait. I can only telly you that you're in for loads of good plastic crack @Rathnard - nice and playable (at least in Malifaux, no idea about ToS) terrain @Stranglelove - solid work all around, I like the choice of colors and suitably gritty look on these @Nikodemus - I like the way bright colors contrast with black here, makes me want to paint this model too Manos and Izamu look cool too but Chiaki is the star here - her robes look truly amazing. @prof_bycid - I like the skin tone and the base is coming along nicely. @Franchute - don't think I've seen this model painted before and now all future paintjobs will be judged against yours, great work there! Fire Gamin looks very nice too although I'd probably add a touch of dark red in the recesses and a light touch up of white on the most protruding elements. Looks very nice though (but I still like the previous one you've shown more). @bedjy - can't wait to see more, looking awesome already. @muraki - good work on the skin tone and those bright additions work really well. @Diddick - your style really works well for these models and the bases are excellent too (radioactive poo FTW!) @lusciousmccabe - LOVE the moon on the cloak, brilliant idea and very well executed. @Caedrus - looks great already, now keep up the good work, plenty of time left till the end of this month! @Wintergloom - Looks very nice though I'd add some dark red to the recessed and a little white on the edges of the fire effect. @Chou - that's one of my favorite M2E models, red works really well here

Heya Wyrdos! The past two months have left me very quiet, as some of you may have noticed, and for that I apologize. I've been away taking care of some major Life Stufftm, but now I'm back with some wonderful new things! My role with Wyrd has changed, and part of that changes how I get to interact with the best community of players I know. One of the things I'm ecstatic about is that I'll be engaging the community about one of my favorite games, Through the Breach! This means that pretty soon the Through the Breach forum will receiving a lot of attention from me in the form of updates, discussion, and sharing my love for the game in general! I'm so glad to be back at it with Wyrd and for the opportunity I've been given to show my passion for the stories and setting of the 'Fauxverse!

What's up Wyrdos? I came in this morning to find that we've run out of coffee pods and Waldo's acting like civilization as we know it has ended. He's flying around with some of my color-shift paint sprayed on his mouth while spouting off nonsense like "I drink, I sleep, I drink again!" and has submitted a proposal that all office personnel issues be solved via Thunderdome. It would solve some problems… Aaaaanyway, I suspect he took one look at this week's feature of Georgy and Olaf and thought they were on to something. Georgy and Olaf are some of the newest additions to the Big Hat Keyword, and this two-in-one beat down duo shows that teamwork really does make the dream work. The Ability Piggyback Ride exemplifies that Georgy is head and shoulders above his competition by being able to take Projectile Actions while engaged. Demise (I’m Done With This) allows Georgy to live, die, and live again, albeit as a Bayou Gremlin (but don’t tell Olaf that). The hits keep coming from Georgy and Olaf with Staggering Punch's Trigger, Quick Shot, allowing for a free Projectile Action, even if there’s someone in their face. If Olaf’s brass knuckles don’t leave a mark, that combo definitely will. The Action's second Trigger, Separated from the Pack, allows for another Melee Attack if your target has no other enemy models near it, which is exactly how Georgy prefers to be positioned - far enough away from the rest of the Gremlins so he can declare that he’s top hat. The aptly named "Who Runs Gremlin-Town?!" allows Georgy and Olaf to bolster your Crew's Minions, but don't let Som'er (or whoever your Crew Leader is) catch sight of the pair when they’re shouting out this Bonus Action. The last thing Georgy and Olaf want is their hat shot off by a boozed-up Gremlin with a toothy grin (or toothless, depending on who’s asking) thinking someone other than Lenny is trying to take control over the Bayou. This week, in addition to checking out what the model will look like on the table, we also have another mobile wallpaper for you! Check it out below!

@Athiko - really like the use of blue on these, it adds a nice element of contrast to pale skin. @Chou - nice, clean paintjob on the family. And definitely get a LED-light whitebox, can't go wrong with it! @OctaBit - nice selection, the Warped are my favorites, really like these models! @bedjy - the fur on Tanuki looks excellent and the bright colors you've used work really well there. The diorama looks great too! @Phinn - that actually looks like a mini diorama, great job! @Kimberly - nice looking terrain you have there, I'm sure it will draw many looks at Adepticon @Caedrus - I think many Polish painters paint this very special kind of water with some extra % in it, this may be the key here! And you can add 24ss to my pledge this month :) And I really like your Acolytes, blue isn't easy to work with on larger flat surfaces but their cloaks look great here! @Nikodemus - nice highlights on red skin, like the contrast with black spider body. @Stranglelove - Rhino is my favorite here by far, great model and you've done it justice with excellent brushwork. @emiba - looking really good, two more day to finish so keep at it ;) @Franchute - the base looks great, as always, now just finish the mini :) @lusciousmccabe - both the base and mini look very good, nice and clean paintjob. @prof_bycid - love the vivid shades of green/yellow, they suit this model so well! @wobbly_goggy - sweet paintjob on the Fire Golem. Working all those flames up can be a daunting task (been there!) but you've made it shine ;) Once again, I'm more at home than I'd like to and currently going through third antibiotic cycle. The only good thing is I had a bit more time so I finished four more minis for extra 24ss. More pics on the blog: http://www.whatthefaux.net/2019/03/razorspine-rattlers.html

Here is my Diorama, that took me quite some time !Nk But it was meant to be a gift, so I'm not sure I'll be able to use it in my monthly pledge... Anyway, I should be able to paint several things, enough to end the month with my pledge. Wish me luck !

My pledge for February is to finish the male Cyclops Here are some promised WIP pictures. The skin colour is going to be greenish blue with offwhite on belly, chin, inner thights and arms and buttocks. Knees, elbows and fingers are going to have red tint to make them visually more interesting and red mouth should draw attention toward the face Detail of the face. Still some work to do Chin, ears, ice "horns" etc. And here is how the ice on the whole miniature (and crew) is going to look like. The process is little bit time consuming but I feel like it is worth

...and so....my January pledge is complete....and for the first time ever in my history of Challenge attempts I'm posting hours before the deadline...not only that...for the first time ever I managed to paint way more than my pledge...quite simply I had more fun painting these TOS figures probably more than anything else I've ever done...so...I completed not only a Raving Madman and three of The Warped that I showed in my WIP but an ENTIRE fireteam !!.... @Caedrus True confession...sorry but I have no idea how many SS this works out at but am happy in the knowledge it's loads more than I pledged

Wyrdos, As some of you may already know, Mason has decided to pursue his own endeavors. Here at Wyrd, we’re all thankful for the work that he’s contributed to our games over the years. Whether in lore or design, his involvement added unparalleled depth and nuance to our worlds, and we’re grateful for the impact he had upon Through the Breach, Malifaux, and The Other Side. We wish him the absolute best as he moves forward in his career. On a personal note, I learned a lot from Mason in the two years that I spent working with him. I’ll miss his insight and humor around the office, but I’m excited to see (and play!) the great things made by him in the future. Cheers to you, bud. Thanks for everything.

Hey Wyrdos, Craving some Malifaux Third Edition content before the Faction Books reach store shelves? Well, we have good news! There are now two new destinations for you to sink your teeth into. The first one is on our website. First and foremost, the Malifaux Third Edition section of the site has been updated! Head on over to find new resources like the M3E Core Rulebook, a Keyword index filled with all of the currently released models (and more will be added to the list as soon as they become available), Master pages that cover their general gameplay, lore, and art (Oooo), and much more. Secondly, if you’ve been waiting to get your hands on cards for a specific model or Crew that is currently out, then wait no more! You can now find a bunch of Malifaux Third Edition cards by heading over to Wargame Vault. We will be adding more cards to the site in the next few weeks, so make sure to check back in for alt cards, Strategies and Schemes, and others, as we’ll be regularly adding more and more content there.

@Caedrus finished my Tengu & Manos for a total of 4+9= 13 stones. I bought this guy used, already assembled. Wasn't cleaned very well and I don't like cleaning Wyrd minis after they're built. Too delicate. His posing also makes some areas a bit clumsy to paint, under the helmet and such. For these reasons I mainly focused on parts you can see. He's got hair and eyes painted but not to a standard I usually prefer. Not like you can ever see his face Idea was to paint white cloth but after "finishing" it once I went back and did some thin washes on the sleeves to get a bit more interest there. They were a bit too monotone for my taste. Not sure I can call it white anymore. Looks nice though, that's important. Compositionally, I'm not very fond of my work here. I like how I painted all the individual parts but that pink magical bird just doesn't fit in with the rest. Doesn't ruin it for me but eh, could've done better. But sometimes I get urges. I open up that bottle of Fluorescent magenta from and it's going on a model even if it has no business being thereI'm sure some of you know that feeling. Can't wait to get my Yan Lo box built & painted so I can field this guy. Excited! All told a very cool mini and I'm happy I did it. Was fun.

Hi everybody! Feels like it's been a crazy month. Really glad for the long weekend, and it made me run out of excuses to finish my Kirai box set crew. Here they are! I also painted some zombies but haven't figured out their basing yet: Happy Easter, all! Looking forward to going through all the submissions this month.

@wobbly_goggy - nice paintjob. You could try taking pics using some kind of background, even a piece of paper. The way it is now, the mini kind of blends with what's in the back. @Athiko - Great work all around. I really like what you did with Carrion Effigy, the Osl adds a nice vibrant touch there. The Exorcists look very nice too, lovely blending on the cloaks though I'd add some dirt to the bottom there. @Purple Mist - that definitely looks intriguing. The thing about colorshift paints is that taking pics of minis painted with them is really hard as they work well when you rotate the mini and look at it from different angles. @Franchute - love the armor color, very nice, smooth highlights there and the weathering looks top notch too. The "dirty" metallics also work very well here. @Boomstick - nice productivity and some really epic conversions going on there @Polar43 - nice work on the gamin and I really like the way you've arranged terrain on such a small base. I also really like the vibrant skin tone you're using for your Gremlins. @Diddick - one again I have to admit that you're making these bright colors work really well on these minis. Two Myrandas bring me to 16 ss more this month, a total of 50 ss for April, more may come As always, more ppics on my blog: http://www.whatthefaux.net/2019/04/myranda-warning.html

Well, so here I am ! Sorry I didn't give you much stuff to see during the whole month, I've mostly be busy upgrading my board made of 30x30 (12"x12") parts. The Zeppelin is brand new (or if we can say new for a wreckage) (Won't say i've build a board, since I've mostly done some upgrade, even if it has been a lot of work), around 20 parts like the ones in photos, and every piece of scenery I own that has grass on it. , I'll count for something like 30 or 40 for the whole if you're ok with it @Caedrus. Also, I've started painting my Cult of the Burning man ! You can find a few models I'm quite proud to show you, I hope you'll like ! 6 models, so 30Ss if I'm correct. And there is the last one, a Bayou smuggler (base will be done with a bunch of other models later). 6Ss. So Terrain : 30Ss Tos : 30 Ss Bayou Smuggler : 6Ss. for a total of 66Ss.

Hello! I haven't been very active here this month but I have done my due diligence. Apart from Kirai below I've also got a second Onryo painted, picture to follow when I get around to take one. (Thought I had but apparently not.) I'll probably go back and redo her eyes as I was working in poor light and for some reason, an unsteady hand. The shears are my first attempt at NMM, so I'll likely practice and get back to that as well. If anyone has a good YouTube tutorial on NMM, that'd be swell. Cheers!

I've finally had time to finish the peacekeeper. @Caedrus this means I have completed 11 stones so far this month: My eldest daughter got into a fight with him. She managed to cut his harpoon. When I took him back to the arcanist warehouse, Hoffman had to repair it. This explains the piece of meat I added to the harpoon. There is also my fingerprint somewhere on the model 😆 Try to find it 😊

@Diddick - love the colors on this one. So completely different than my "gritty" approach when it comes to undead minis but painted consistently to a very high level. @muraki - such cool minis and I like the bright colors you've used here. These are by far the coolest versions in the range. They eyes seem a bit off but this still works in terms of Manga-like overall aesthetics @Caedrus - nice start on the conversion. I envy people skilled enough to tackle complex projects with GS. I can basically only do gap-filling and hair/fur sculpting. The NMM on containers looks great and the blades are just amazing! I've finished the Cerberuses so together with 16ss for two Samurai I am now at 34ss for April. I decided to use blue for the most part as I've always struggled with this color on larger surfaces. It was a little easier here as there is some fur texture on the main body to serve as guidance. I started with some general highlights on the body, making sure to leave enough dark blue in the recesses. Following that, I kept adding numerous thin brushstrokes in gradually brighter colors to build up the fur texture. It was a very lengthy and tedious process but it was a good practice for sure. I added some touches of brown/dark red and glazes of light blue and green to keep it more "natural" (as much as this word can be used to talk about blue fur of a three headed Tiger). I also thought that blue would nicely contrast with a predominantly green base. I'd like to start on Myranda but I'm still waiting for the paints to paint her skin to look like a Native-American. As always, more pictures on my blog http://www.whatthefaux.net/2019/04/tyger-tyger-burning-bright.html

Caedrus, reporting in with a WIP! My amateurish sculpting skills are evident in this Recruiter WIP: ...but I've been quite pleased with my Executioner. He's nearly finished, so here's a sneak peek! Comments and feedback is always welcome! I hope you're having a great April! Caedrus.

Decided that this month was going to be about Mercs, so I started with the season specific viks to get ready for Easter. Trying to decide how many other viks I should paint... Think I have 4 versions ha.

The comic style necropunk is done 🙌 For the next one I ll give the blanchitsu style another try, applied some texture to the robes, let’s leave it dry...

Painting fur takes ages, here's a quick wip with about a thousand brushstrokes in...

First WiP of the first necropunk. I wanted to try something new, so Roberta (I named them ... 🙃) is going to be painted in a comic style, first step, blacklining!

Similar to a certain factory in the Pixar Multiverse, our office is actually powered by the screams of frustrated hobbyists working on putting together our Malifaux Kits.

Wonderful work everyone! On my end, the Brew Crew has some new members! 35 stones between the Whiskey Golem (10), Popcorn (8), Cooper (7), and 2x Whiskey Gamin (10), adding on to the first batch: Manos (9), Asura (8), 2x Mourners (12), and 5x Mindless Zombies (10) for 74ss for the month! (Helps to have half of that 98% done the month before.)

Roten Belle for 5 stones: Thanks a lot to @misterfinn for the idea of adding an olive glaze to the grass and thanks to @Nikodemus for the recipe

WIP time.....still a way to go but main colours laid down...AND....in an effort to keep the skin tones more or less equivalent across all three fireteams I have managed to make a start on the other six members of The Warped....the great thing about the TOS figures is that aside the great sculpts that are fun to work on the fact that I am now working on ten figures simultaneously is nothing short of groundbreaking for me....it is also making me approach them differently to just taking on two or three Malifaux characters...so colour me happy....for now from Cult Of The Burning Man - on the left a Raving Madman and then three of The Warped

Hey all, I am a long time miniature painter and gamer but I've recently become interested in Malifaux. Originally the miniatures just weren't my thing but after hearing some local gaming buddies talking about 3E I started to look a little more and decided I liked many of the constructs so I picked up the Hoffman box. I have to say since then the aesthetic and lore are really growing on me. Here are my first two members of my crew, a hunter and watcher. I have to say they were really refreshing and fun to paint! Comments, critiques, suggestions, etc... are always welcome. These were painted to a fast standard over about a night and a half but feedback never hurts 😃

Hello, I just completed the Riotbreaker for 6 ss. Basically, I used a couple of shifting colour: MARTIAN GREEN amd DARK BLUE. Both of them shift from their primary shade (green and blue respectively) to purple. So, this time, the secondary colour (purple) is the linking element in the model. MARTIAN GREEN was used for the robot plates, while DARK BLUE for the railgun. The shield was "highlighted" adding some silver to MARTIAN GREEN keepinh the native properties of MARTIAL GREEN, but getting a lighter and more brillian shade. Models was finished with silver metal and brass on exposed mechanical components. The feet of the robot has been worked with pigments to get a dirty effect. The purple shift is more visible on the large plate surface of the shield (top and bottom): P.S.: @Franchute hope I successed getting you the reflex of the Purple Mists surrounding my world @muraki, I'm impressed by the clean and very effective palette you used with your Vanessa. Congrats.

@Caedrus Claiming Bushwhacker #1 for 6SS. Could use some serious C&C on this, folks. It met all my goals: half the painting time I usually spend, higher contrast, less fiddly about the blends. Trying to differentiate skin, "camo", and base greens was a pain in the ass. There are some things I like and some things I don't. What works? What doesn't? Any places you see where I might be able to cut time, or where a few extra minutes would have made a big difference?

Hey guys, just a few pics of what I've been up to so far this month. Been speeding up my painting. Less layers and blending but more painted models on the table

Caedrus, checking in with a very quick update! So, this month (and the next two 😖) will be super-busy, so my efforts will drop dramatically. Having said that, I finished a vulture: and I've made some progress on my December Acolytes, as well as my Beastman for my '12-month Beastman personal challenge'. Finally, you had all better say hello to Percy. He drinks my paint water. He's not what you'd call a smart cat. Great painting again this month, folks! When I get a chance, I'll swing by and leave feedback. Until then, pat your cat (or goat), and put pigment to plastic! Caedrus.

Caedrus, reporting in! Well, I've met my base goal for the month, being 9SS of Anna Lovelace! I'm fairly pleased with this model. I think I'll redo the base edge in plain colours, rather than messing with about with it. I was pleased with the NMM (still lots to learn, but I'm getting there), and the glazing (both to smooth out the NMM, and the purple reflections from her sash. From here, I'll try to finish a metal Peacekeeper, a Pathfinder, and three December Acolytes. A gentle reminder, as we get towards the end of the month: If you could make your end of the month update an "@Caedrus", listing your SS value, that would be much appreciated! I'm going to take some time and look through some of the amazing painting from this month. Some amazing stuff. Keep putting pigment to plastic! Caedrus.
