Hi all! I had this M3E crew-building web tool available in the closed beta, but when the open beta began, the card format changed a bit so it took some work to get it updated. But now that it's ready, I'm debuting it with the larger audience here! It's a web page that works on desktop and mobile for building M3E crews. I try to keep the cards up-to-date with each week's release, though it sometimes takes a day or two. You can authenticate with gmail in order to store your saved crews in Google Drive AppData (access to app-specific info only, no access to docs, spreadsheets, etc). This will also allow you to share crews between devices. Otherwise you'll have to re-build each time you visit the site. You can also use the Card Search page to match a text query against all the cards in the game! Want to know every model and upgrade that references "Terrifying?" Search for the text and find out! Hope it helps! I more than welcome any feedback you have, you can respond here or message me directly. Thanks for any help in testing it out, and enjoy!

The latest update is now available! And with that, we’re excited to announce that this will be the last update before we get ready to launch Malifaux Third Edition. We will be keeping the Open Beta forums available for a time to help catch grammar issues and other minor mistakes, but there will not be any more overhauls done to Crews or models. We will be still making some slight adjustments in the background before we hit the print button, but these changes will be a matter of changing a stat number here or there, and not rewriting or restructuring how a Keyword works as we have done in the last few weeks. We want to thank everyone who has participated in the Open Beta for providing us with mountains of feedback. If it wasn’t for your criticisms, ideas, contributions, and debates, Malifaux Third Edition wouldn’t be in the state it’s in today. This community is so staggeringly amazing, and it was a humbling experience to have collaborated alongside all of you during this edition's development. So, what does the future entail? Well, on our side of things, it’s time for us to get working on the final product. As for our community, once we have the printable versions of the cards made for all of our models and upgrades, we will be making them and the rules available for free on our website. For now, we encourage you to use the beta files to get some games in, as you won’t see major changes between now and then. In the next few weeks, we’ll be providing you all with the roadmap of Malifaux Third Edition’s future. Some of you in the Closed Beta probably already have an idea or two of what that might look like, but we’ve intentionally not talked about some of those topics in an attempt to not shake the focus of the Open Beta. Additionally, we will be launching another playtest soon and implore everyone who enjoyed the Open Beta process to join up with us again, as we’ll need as much help as we can get to make sure that Gaining Grounds Season One is the best it can be. Thanks again!

Hi When the open beta came out, I was missing a good overview of which models had specific keywords, and which models had specific abilities. So I set out to build a digital tool that could help me with this. I shared it with my Danish Malifaux community, and they all asked for various upgrades (like crew-builder, printing, sharing, cross device usage etc.). So it grew. A lot. Now that it's a month old, I feel like the international community should know about it also. So here you go: https://m3e.hong-crewet.dk Some if it's main features: * Filters and Sorting. * Crew-Builder (where you can even ignore building-rules, if you want to test some house rule or other crazy ideas) * Print in M2E og M3E card styles. You print your crew, but combine with the ability to ignore crew-building rules, you can print any combination of models. * Works offline. You can even install it on your phones desktop. * Save your Crews, Filter/List options Setups and list of Owned/Painted/Favourites to the cloud so that you can use them across any number of devices. * Share your crew. Either threw a link that opens the tool with your crew, or copy/paste the formatted text to anywhere. I hope you like it. Thanks.

Hey everyone, So that you are not surprised tomorrow, I wanted everyone to know that we will not be uploading an update on January 30th(boo!). There is a good reason for the delay, though. We are making some major changes to some of the least favorite Crews, whether they're not working or they're thematically off. Here are some of the Keywords that will be receiving adjustments (some minor, some major): Redchapel Performer Frontier Oni Monks Wastrel Revenant Transmortis Kin Family Big Hat Savage Nightmare Retainer/Ancestor Forgotten We're also making changes to individual models and rules clarifications, as well. So what does this mean? Well, there will still be an update this week, but we won't be posting it until Thursday, January 31st (yay!). Thanks for understanding!

Hey Wyrdos, We’re thrilled to announce that on Wednesday, January 16th, we will be launching an OPEN BETA for Malifaux Third Edition! Many of you have gone through the grueling process of testing the game to get its rules and models to this point, and we couldn’t possibly thank you enough for that. Rest assured that the vast majority of that work will remain intact. The intent of the Open Beta is to get Malifaux Third Edition from where it is (a great spot) and bring it up one more level (to a fantastic spot). This means that our focus will be on polish. Clarity, grammar, theme, and fine tuning numbers are our targets this time around. There are still a few crews and models that need some final tweaks, so if you have more feedback, we’re still listening. We want to hear your thoughts on your favorite (and least favorite) characters before we officially launch Third Edition. So, for those who have been rigorously playtesting our game, now is your chance to share your thoughts and enthusiasm with the rest of the community. Those NDAs that you signed? Consider them lifted. Let us know where you think M3E stands and what you think it’ll take to bring it across the finish line. Henchmen, keep a close eye on the super-secret Henchmen forum in regards to running M3E events and tournaments. We’ll have some special announcements for you folks in the next few days. That’s it from us! We’ve got to hunker down and iron out those wrinkles before next Wednesday. We’ll have more info for you at that time. See you then!

Dual masters will show up in both books, as well as Faction Decks. Dead Mans Hand models will be available via Faction Decks as well as downloadable online. And no, most of yall who have been tossing out prices are still considerably off. Yes, eventually they will all become available as PDF books. Only the core rulebook and stat cards are being translated. Fluff and the like is not. If you're concerned about the translations, take a look at the free TOS rules/translations and go from there. We learned our lessons there and worked with professionals instead of enthusiasts or quite bluntly, folks talking out their asses and not delivering. For those hoppin' and hollerin' about the number of books and being forced to purchase and that this is an outright money grab - well, you are entitled to your opinion of course. That being said, the rules, and cards, in multiple languages, are going to be available 100% free. You don't need to spend a dime in the least if you don't wish in order to transition to M3E. Lastly, if we had crammed everything into one book, that would have been spendy - not to mention heavy enough to bludgeon someone to death with.

Hey everyone, Changing from one edition to another isn't always an easy thing. Everyone has their own perspective and opinion about how something should work, based on previous experience or expectations. Because we all have a passion for this game, the chances of getting excited or heated are heightened. Disagreements will occur. We absolutely encourage constructive conversations to root out problems, but there is a fine line between a debate and an argument. We ask that you think before you type. Treat others with respect. We do not - and will not - tolerate name calling, insults, or any other forms of blatant toxicity on our forums. Matt, myself, and our awesome moderators can't be everywhere at once. If you experienced or witnessed maliciousness in the forums, please report it to us. Once we receive the report, we'll take a close look and take the appropriate action, if necessary. If you have been reported for rudeness to another player and action is required, you will receive a warning. If you have been reported after receiving a warning and additional action is required, you will be banned from the forums until at least the Open Beta is completed (possibly longer based on the report). That's it from me. Now let's get back to playtesting.

Hi!, I'm new around these parts and wanted to put my 2 cents in. To give you some background and my gamer credentials, I have been playing Miniature wargames since the 80's. I have always had a heavy focus on Warhammer, and the Games Workshop properties, though I have played games from other companies, like Warlord, and CMON. At my favorite, almost too far away local games store (giga-bites, here in Marietta, Ga.) my buddy stumbled upon the Malifaux models and went ape shit over the aesthetic. I can't say I blame him, I have appreciated the models and loved the feel of the artwork of Malifaux for years, though I knew no one else who played so I never got to play it, and therefore never collected the models etc..... Fast forward to shortly before the M3E Open Beta was announced, and I was gearing up to play my first game with a couple friends who wanted to get into it with me. We decided to tackle the M3E ruleset instead of hammering out 2nd edition and learning 3rd later on when it comes out. With all that being said, I wanted to give my perspective on what it is to play M3E without ANY prior Malifaux experience. NOW FOR THE GOOD PART. 1. The Rule book. I am not harping on any grammar or spelling, I also know and understand this is NOT a polished and completed rulebook. Overall, I think the rulebook is pretty darn good, my only complaints are two things, a.) It feels disjointed, Some of the different rules we have been looking for seem to be mentioned in certain places, like I have had to look up three different things and areas to figure out how to resolve one action or ability. I know some of this can't be avoided but these are my impressions. I assume some of this will be fixed in the final version. Overall not anything that would keep me from playing. Maybe I'm dumb but one thing that tripped us up, was the non-passive abilities, like Pandoras defensive ability, it shows DF / WP (tome) and it confused the ever loving shit out of me as to what that meant. Should it be read as a thing that triggers whenever the model takes a defensive or willpower test and gets a tome?, does it trigger on a defensive duel and the models affected need to make a willpower test? Eventually we reasoned out what was supposed to happen, however an explanation of how to read that or an example of it being used would have been awesome. b.) The end of that last one leads me to my next thing, I feel like a lot of the rulebook was written for people with a grasp of how Malifaux already plays, not someone coming in new. This may alienate new players, and cause for some heartache in the end. Some of the abilities and mechanics are not fully explained, in my opinion. (Like summoning, I am still a bit confused wether you have to hold models off to the side to summon after hiring them? OR do you just get to summon them in and they aren't costed in with your crew when you buy?) I get the mechanics of how to summon them in, doing the test etc... just the setup to be able to summon isn't explained in my opinion. 2. Encounters. I love Malifaux for it's super narrative, super characterful feel. It's honestly an awesome and involved world and story and I love that. I love the Strats & Schemes method of encounters and getting everything ready. I enjoy the fact that it's a miniatures game where it's not just "hold an objective, or kill something" The game genuinely feels as though you are doing different things. That being said, they feel cumbersome. Clunky, even a little grindy. To a new player it is a CHORE to figure out the system and what in the hell you're supposed to be doing to win the models. Maybe I'm dumb, but it took a hot minute to know what to do with the Schemes, the Strats are more straightforward but overall, I lump them together. 3. Overall, I find this to be an awesome, challenging and fun game. I have enjoyed trying to figure things out with my friends as there is not an experienced player amongst us and we are trying to figure it all out from scratch. If my opinions seem overly critical I assure you, they are not. I just communicate that way. If none of my concerns are addressed in the final 3rd edition rulebook I wouldn't be let down and would continue to play and promote this game. I have been covering our experiences in my podcast, "The Beerhammer Podcast" and would love to even have someone from Wyrd on for an interview about 3rd edition. Thank you for your time in reading this.

Hah .... no. They aren't all going to be gold gilded lay flat hard-back books. Doesn't even get close to that price. We've not announced prices as of yet, that'll come here shortly as we finish up a few things. That being said, rules, cards, etc - all released for free online. No one has to spend a dime on any of it if they don't care to. Now if you want nicer books, professionally printed stat cards that are coated, additional background, etc - you have other options available.

@Athiko - really like the use of blue on these, it adds a nice element of contrast to pale skin. @Chou - nice, clean paintjob on the family. And definitely get a LED-light whitebox, can't go wrong with it! @OctaBit - nice selection, the Warped are my favorites, really like these models! @bedjy - the fur on Tanuki looks excellent and the bright colors you've used work really well there. The diorama looks great too! @Phinn - that actually looks like a mini diorama, great job! @Kimberly - nice looking terrain you have there, I'm sure it will draw many looks at Adepticon @Caedrus - I think many Polish painters paint this very special kind of water with some extra % in it, this may be the key here! And you can add 24ss to my pledge this month :) And I really like your Acolytes, blue isn't easy to work with on larger flat surfaces but their cloaks look great here! @Nikodemus - nice highlights on red skin, like the contrast with black spider body. @Stranglelove - Rhino is my favorite here by far, great model and you've done it justice with excellent brushwork. @emiba - looking really good, two more day to finish so keep at it ;) @Franchute - the base looks great, as always, now just finish the mini :) @lusciousmccabe - both the base and mini look very good, nice and clean paintjob. @prof_bycid - love the vivid shades of green/yellow, they suit this model so well! @wobbly_goggy - sweet paintjob on the Fire Golem. Working all those flames up can be a daunting task (been there!) but you've made it shine ;) Once again, I'm more at home than I'd like to and currently going through third antibiotic cycle. The only good thing is I had a bit more time so I finished four more minis for extra 24ss. More pics on the blog: http://www.whatthefaux.net/2019/03/razorspine-rattlers.html

Here is my Diorama, that took me quite some time !Nk But it was meant to be a gift, so I'm not sure I'll be able to use it in my monthly pledge... Anyway, I should be able to paint several things, enough to end the month with my pledge. Wish me luck !

My pledge for February is to finish the male Cyclops Here are some promised WIP pictures. The skin colour is going to be greenish blue with offwhite on belly, chin, inner thights and arms and buttocks. Knees, elbows and fingers are going to have red tint to make them visually more interesting and red mouth should draw attention toward the face Detail of the face. Still some work to do Chin, ears, ice "horns" etc. And here is how the ice on the whole miniature (and crew) is going to look like. The process is little bit time consuming but I feel like it is worth

...and so....my January pledge is complete....and for the first time ever in my history of Challenge attempts I'm posting hours before the deadline...not only that...for the first time ever I managed to paint way more than my pledge...quite simply I had more fun painting these TOS figures probably more than anything else I've ever done...so...I completed not only a Raving Madman and three of The Warped that I showed in my WIP but an ENTIRE fireteam !!.... @Caedrus True confession...sorry but I have no idea how many SS this works out at but am happy in the knowledge it's loads more than I pledged

Wyrdos, As some of you may already know, Mason has decided to pursue his own endeavors. Here at Wyrd, we’re all thankful for the work that he’s contributed to our games over the years. Whether in lore or design, his involvement added unparalleled depth and nuance to our worlds, and we’re grateful for the impact he had upon Through the Breach, Malifaux, and The Other Side. We wish him the absolute best as he moves forward in his career. On a personal note, I learned a lot from Mason in the two years that I spent working with him. I’ll miss his insight and humor around the office, but I’m excited to see (and play!) the great things made by him in the future. Cheers to you, bud. Thanks for everything.

@wobbly_goggy - nice paintjob. You could try taking pics using some kind of background, even a piece of paper. The way it is now, the mini kind of blends with what's in the back. @Athiko - Great work all around. I really like what you did with Carrion Effigy, the Osl adds a nice vibrant touch there. The Exorcists look very nice too, lovely blending on the cloaks though I'd add some dirt to the bottom there. @Purple Mist - that definitely looks intriguing. The thing about colorshift paints is that taking pics of minis painted with them is really hard as they work well when you rotate the mini and look at it from different angles. @Franchute - love the armor color, very nice, smooth highlights there and the weathering looks top notch too. The "dirty" metallics also work very well here. @Boomstick - nice productivity and some really epic conversions going on there @Polar43 - nice work on the gamin and I really like the way you've arranged terrain on such a small base. I also really like the vibrant skin tone you're using for your Gremlins. @Diddick - one again I have to admit that you're making these bright colors work really well on these minis. Two Myrandas bring me to 16 ss more this month, a total of 50 ss for April, more may come As always, more ppics on my blog: http://www.whatthefaux.net/2019/04/myranda-warning.html

I've finally had time to finish the peacekeeper. @Caedrus this means I have completed 11 stones so far this month: My eldest daughter got into a fight with him. She managed to cut his harpoon. When I took him back to the arcanist warehouse, Hoffman had to repair it. This explains the piece of meat I added to the harpoon. There is also my fingerprint somewhere on the model 😆 Try to find it 😊

@Diddick - love the colors on this one. So completely different than my "gritty" approach when it comes to undead minis but painted consistently to a very high level. @muraki - such cool minis and I like the bright colors you've used here. These are by far the coolest versions in the range. They eyes seem a bit off but this still works in terms of Manga-like overall aesthetics @Caedrus - nice start on the conversion. I envy people skilled enough to tackle complex projects with GS. I can basically only do gap-filling and hair/fur sculpting. The NMM on containers looks great and the blades are just amazing! I've finished the Cerberuses so together with 16ss for two Samurai I am now at 34ss for April. I decided to use blue for the most part as I've always struggled with this color on larger surfaces. It was a little easier here as there is some fur texture on the main body to serve as guidance. I started with some general highlights on the body, making sure to leave enough dark blue in the recesses. Following that, I kept adding numerous thin brushstrokes in gradually brighter colors to build up the fur texture. It was a very lengthy and tedious process but it was a good practice for sure. I added some touches of brown/dark red and glazes of light blue and green to keep it more "natural" (as much as this word can be used to talk about blue fur of a three headed Tiger). I also thought that blue would nicely contrast with a predominantly green base. I'd like to start on Myranda but I'm still waiting for the paints to paint her skin to look like a Native-American. As always, more pictures on my blog http://www.whatthefaux.net/2019/04/tyger-tyger-burning-bright.html

Probably should have done this when the Open Beta opened, but never too late. For those people coming in from M2E into M3E, there are some changes that might be skipped via assuming too much similarity between M2E and M3E. This post is to lay out some of the changes that might not be immediately obvious. First, the rule changes of note, in no particular order. 1) ALL triggers now default to After Succeeding. If it doesn't EXPLICITLY state otherwise, that's the timing. This is ESPECIALLY important when it comes to defensive "hitback" triggers. (pg11, first column, last para) 2) "Repeat this Action" on a trigger does not work like it did in M2E. When an action is repeated by this kind of trigger, it cannot generate Triggers of any kind, not just the Repeat this Action ones. (pg11, second column, last para) 3) Auras no longer stack. Putting an enemy (or friendly) model in 2+ auras only gets you a single effect. (pg33, last para before Example) 4) You can no longer generate blasts off Friendly models. (pg33, Blasts, last para) 4a) Blasts on Weak Damage do 1 damage (pg 33, Blasts, third para) 5) Engaged and Engaging aren't the same thing. If your model isn't in their range, but they're in yours, the only thing that affects you, is Friendly Fire. You can charge, you can walk away, whatevs (pg29). 5a) Disengagement works differently now, especially as, pass or fail, the model can't Interact (pg25, both Interact and Disengage) 6) Hand size is now capped. Meaning if you have the default hand size of 6, and have 6 cards in hand when drawing a card, you'll have to discard down. (pg 7, second column, second para) 6a) Arcane Reservoir doesn't stack. (see wording on ability, it's clear if you don't assume otherwise) 7) Buried models now activate as normal, and exist during the End Phase (ie, still burn/get poisoned) (pg35, second para of Bury) 7a) Buried models that are allowed to unbury, but can't fulfill the restrictions, CAN still unbury in their deployment zone. (pg35, third para of Bury) 8 ) Henchmen as Leaders gain an action, equivalent to M2E having 3AP (pg24, bullet C3) 8a) Masters and Henchmen Leaders do not benefit from Fast (pg32, Fast) 8b) Henchmen as Leader get the Effigy as a Totem, for free (see any Effigy) 9) Conditions have changed. Don't assume they work the same, especially Burning. (pg32) 10) Mercenaries are gone. Mercenary for the Viks stuff is just a Keyword, no different ruleswise thanany other. 11) Pushes are now affected by Severe Terrain (pg20, Severe, Pushs are a non-Place movement). 12) Cover, Concealment and shooting into melee (Friendly Fire) are significantly changed. If anyone has any others that they think need to go here, feel free to add. There's also three general conceptual changes. The first, damage output and ranges (especially melee) across the board have dropped. That doesn't mean that you can't argue for an increase, but the justification of "But it was that way in M2E" is probably going to fall on deaf ears. It needs to be for a better reason. The second, following on from that, the way a crew or a specific model plays might have changed. Again, if you want to get it changed, you probably need to explain beyond "But it was that way in M2E", and point out why the model doesn't work properly as is. If it's not broken, it's unlikely to be changed. If it's changed, it'll likely change in a manner that fixes it, and probably not reverting to an M2E standard. And third, and this will be a hard truth for some players. Old crews, especially those with large hiring pools, may be invalidated. It sucks, you don't need to be happy about it, but you need to accept it or move on. Leveticus is not getting his access to every Undead and Construct back. Nor is he likely to get his four Horseman gimmick back. A lot of crews can still take what they used to, but it being less efficient (keyword tax), but there are some that are proper gone (like Malifaux Raptors being Guild only, and not even Marcus can get them). You can rage, you can fume, you can mourn. But I doubt it'll change anything. One of the purposes of M3E is to have balance, and the larger the hiring pools, the harder that is. It sucks for those hard hit, but it's for a good purpose.

Wonderful work everyone! On my end, the Brew Crew has some new members! 35 stones between the Whiskey Golem (10), Popcorn (8), Cooper (7), and 2x Whiskey Gamin (10), adding on to the first batch: Manos (9), Asura (8), 2x Mourners (12), and 5x Mindless Zombies (10) for 74ss for the month! (Helps to have half of that 98% done the month before.)

Roten Belle for 5 stones: Thanks a lot to @misterfinn for the idea of adding an olive glaze to the grass and thanks to @Nikodemus for the recipe

WIP time.....still a way to go but main colours laid down...AND....in an effort to keep the skin tones more or less equivalent across all three fireteams I have managed to make a start on the other six members of The Warped....the great thing about the TOS figures is that aside the great sculpts that are fun to work on the fact that I am now working on ten figures simultaneously is nothing short of groundbreaking for me....it is also making me approach them differently to just taking on two or three Malifaux characters...so colour me happy....for now from Cult Of The Burning Man - on the left a Raving Madman and then three of The Warped

Hey guys, just a few pics of what I've been up to so far this month. Been speeding up my painting. Less layers and blending but more painted models on the table

Decided that this month was going to be about Mercs, so I started with the season specific viks to get ready for Easter. Trying to decide how many other viks I should paint... Think I have 4 versions ha.

Did I say purple? Well I am kind of a lunatic. I went for yellow, the exact opposite on the colour wheel... Here is a WIP of my intents to weathering:

@Franchute Thanks for the Mouse pictures - I'm liking the look of Fitz too. You've got a good eye for contrast and color @Caedrus As promised, Miss Deed for 10SS at the last minute:

Hey everyone, Here is a file containing the cards that were missed in the update on Friday so that you can look them over. OB_3.25.19_Hotfix.pdf

Unfortunately, I come as the bearer of bad news in that our update is being pushed until sometime tomorrow so that I can make sure everything is done that needs to be done.

So here's more WIP...but first, a micro-rant. It really bugs me that most sculptors out there are unwilling/unable to sculpt muscles on strong women. I mean, look at this awesome photo of the Gina Carano/Cris Cyborg Strikeforce weigh-in from 2009: Different builds, same weight class. Both of them look like they could swing a Relic Hammer at Stat 7 for 3/4/6 damage though, right? Because they have MUSCLES. It takes some serious core to swing a hammer that big. So since the Miss Deed sculpt looks more or less like a cylinder with a belly button hole poked in it, I figured I'd try to fix it with paint. The first try ended up in the Simple Green. The second try looks a lot better: My attempts at freehand in the past have been frustrating but I'm pleased with this. Trompe l'oeil is somehow easier to paint for me than patterns or designs or whatever. Now to paint the other 90% of the model...

Caedrus, checking in with a very quick update! So, this month (and the next two 😖) will be super-busy, so my efforts will drop dramatically. Having said that, I finished a vulture: and I've made some progress on my December Acolytes, as well as my Beastman for my '12-month Beastman personal challenge'. Finally, you had all better say hello to Percy. He drinks my paint water. He's not what you'd call a smart cat. Great painting again this month, folks! When I get a chance, I'll swing by and leave feedback. Until then, pat your cat (or goat), and put pigment to plastic! Caedrus.

Hey everyone, We are still reading feedback and battle reports. You have spoken, and we're listening. We are taking some extra time to address some of the corner-case models and Crews that we've heard since this announcement as "definitely not ready." This is very much not an update for things that are nice to have, but rather, an update to address models that are considered never worth putting on the table. Expect a stealth update that covers only a few models, and another update of similar size in two weeks. But then... we're done! Definitely this time! Seriously! I mean it!

Caedrus, reporting in! Well, I've met my base goal for the month, being 9SS of Anna Lovelace! I'm fairly pleased with this model. I think I'll redo the base edge in plain colours, rather than messing with about with it. I was pleased with the NMM (still lots to learn, but I'm getting there), and the glazing (both to smooth out the NMM, and the purple reflections from her sash. From here, I'll try to finish a metal Peacekeeper, a Pathfinder, and three December Acolytes. A gentle reminder, as we get towards the end of the month: If you could make your end of the month update an "@Caedrus", listing your SS value, that would be much appreciated! I'm going to take some time and look through some of the amazing painting from this month. Some amazing stuff. Keep putting pigment to plastic! Caedrus.

Went a little overboard on my pledge this month, and did 94 stones of models (using M3e numbers and considering a proxy to be the real model). Here's the models: Zipp: Mancha and First Mate: Burt / Merris / Earl: Johan and Gremlin Johan: Skeeters: wrastlers: and of course the full shot:

Okay, done. Below are the IRREFUTABLE FACTS of how having Armor affects a model's defensive stats (Df, Wp, Health) and how having actions that can ignore Armor (either specifically or by being irreducible) affect that actions' stats (Stat, min, mod, and severe damage). These are both split along two groups: Armor +1 and Armor +2 for defensive, and whether the action can Always ignore or situationally. I didn't include the few Masters and Totems that have Armor or Armor ignore since they janked up the numbers. Also, actions like Pride or Molly's which did damage that wasn't part of a track (discard up to 2 cards and take 2 irreducible for every one you don't discard, etc) are not included because omg I do not want to think about how to add that in here. One last thing, since the No Witnesses trigger both increases the action's damage and makes it ignore Armor, I've included its increased damage when calculating the attack. Armor +1 Df: Average of 4.92 (74.26% of the model's cost) Wp: Average of 4.72 (71.29% of the model's cost) Health: Average of 6.75 (101.98% of the model's cost) Armor +2 Df: Average of 4.63 (61.78% of the model's cost) Wp: Average of 4.93 (65.78% of the model's cost) Health: Average of 6.83 (91.11% of the model's cost) Situationally Ignore Stat: Average of 5.59 Min: Average of 2.18 Mod: Average of 3.43 Severe: Average of 4.71 Always Ignore Stat: Average of 5.32 Min: Average of 1.64 Mod: Average of 2.68 Severe: Average of 4.23 You all better freaking appreciate this lol

Quick WIP shot of the avatar I'm working on now. The idea is to buildup the highlights on the icicles with different shades of blue and a very light skin/blue tone on Raspy.

I am all for constructive and critical analysis of Malifaux in its current and future states. Unfortunately, that train of thought has flown off the rails in this thread. If there's something that you don't like, I absolutely want you to share that. When insults and demeaning language become a rampant part of the conversation, however, I am no longer interested in listening. There are better ways of presenting feedback. There are better ways of communicating with your peers. Find those ways. If someone posts a comment that you strongly disagree with, to the point where your first thought is to insult them, I implore you to take a step back and reconsider. Step into their shoes. Understand their perspective. I didn't want to close this thread, despite the fact that I disagree with some of the sentiments that started it. I wanted to hear everyone's opinions, but I am unable to do that at this point due to it spiraling in this way.

So I want to take a moment and address this specifically and why she won't be adjusted in this way. Hard to Kill is a very useful ability that is the third most common ability in the game showing up on 59 models/Upgrades. In the past, we have used this ability as a game-design crutch of "this model dies too fast" so we put HTK on it and called it good. We don't see this as the best Approach for Reva, as she is a master who has several options to burst heal herself or her crew, (Final Veil, Embrace the Flame, Feed on Greef) and plays a very mid-line gameplay, hiding behind her own crew and using her Pyres to block for her. In this state, we feel that Hard to Kill combined with her burst and Passive Healing (Final Veil) could result in a NPE for her opponent as well as pushing a very tanky gameplay style that we do not intend for Reva.
