  1. Since it's Christmas, and New Year is coming, I think it's good time for making wishes about future book. So i have one question - what are your wishes for Wave 6 Malifaux book? I'd like to see return of vignettes - I think it was nice way of telling a short story for each master in Ripples of Fate, and it was sad that vignettes didn't appear in Broken Promises. Speaking of models - few characters/monsters from TTB implemented in the game (like Gloom Crows or Gudgeons) would be nice, same as new general totems and general upgrades for each faction.

  2. I finished the Mysterious Emissary completing my initial pledge for the month and bringing me to 31ss so far. I'm traveling (with my paint and models) but don't have my light box so these pics of the Emissary will have to do. I'm going to start working on Mr. Tannen, Cherub and the Mysterious Effigy and hopefully I'll finish 2-3 by the end of the year.

  5. To quote the band County Medical Examiners, "The thoracoabdominal incision is the name of this turgidly morbid game." Coronering can get boring so butchering makes for a nice change of pace every once in a while. So with that in mind, I brought the following. McMourning (On the Clock, Test Subjects, Guild's Coroner) (7 Pool) Zombie Chihuahua Sebastian Guardian Lawyer Hog Whisperer Piglet Piglet Piglet Piglet Arrayed against me was Lynch, Huggy, Fuhatsu, Izamu, Illuminated, and a Katanaka Sniper. All loaded up to the gills with Upgrades and 7SS Pool. I had

  6. What faction has access to multiple offensive condition removal? I can only think of TT with Chiaki and the Monks having access to multiple, in-faction models.

  7. Yea, I played a Ply game w Alex Schmid last Sunday, and we were talking about that. I took Sandeep and he took Lilith, but we realized how strong obey masters could be in this strat for the exact reasons you mentioned. As for using all 3 AP of the master, I'm not sure. I think 2 would be just fine, esp if you get to go first. In a close game, 2 seems to be the magic number of plys. It makes it so that opponent has to jump through so many hoops to even match you, let alone beat you, which can leave them exposed for rest of your crew. You are right in that I think it can be a good investme

  8. Abandoning their most popular product, a game that literally founded their company, for a new and untested one seems unlikely, IMO. So, sigh of relief friend.

  9. I tried this list last night. 50 SS Guild Crew Hoffman + 6 Pool - Field Mechanic (2) - Improved Harness (1) - Arcanist Assets (1) Joss (10) - A Debt To The Guild (1) Howard Langston (12) Guardian (7) Riotbreaker (6) Brutal Effigy (4) Mobile Toolkit (3) (exported from CrewFaux) It was a supply wagon scenario with no killing schemes which was pretty interesting because I thought the list might not do so great with no points on killing but it had a lot of staying power. My opponent was running Shen Long and had no anti-armor tech so everything I there at

  10. Gloom Crows are Neverborn Woe-birds, who have Misery Ability and, like Coppelius, like to eat eyes of their victims. Gudgeons are undead creatures, who, when killed, tun into Abominations. Plus they can use normal weapons and entropy magic (similar to Leveticus). Also - Corpse Slime (slimy creature who eat corpses insides and then animate them to walk towards next victim) could be funny addition for Ressers.

  11. U got 4 dogs, so u can get some markers on 1st-2nd turn if u get crowns of course but I thing it's better than emissary even with his move buff. Also if u take Sebastian I recommend to take 1 dead gremlin , more poison always good for a doctor

  12. Fiddling with the kneeling one at the moment. Yes, too many parts for not much reward. It's almost competing with the Steam Trunk in terms of parts per stone, and at least the Steam Trunk was a simple box with tracks. EDIT: Got the three spirits more or less in place. I'll attach the hands and things when the glue sets. I really think Wyrd need to have people try actually assembling their kits before they put them into production.

  14. Thank you for your detailed description. I used your technique in the past, making use of "Typhus Corrosion" and "Ryza Rust", then washing it all with different brown washes. Looking to your pics I can see a dominance of gonden like shade although it could be an artefact produced by the photos. Anyway you got a great miniature, congrats. I'm tempted to replicate it, although at present I'm using Formula P3 Paints.

  15. Well it is a great idea I haven't seen before so it deserves appreciation. I like the burnt effect around the chains on the coffin too. Might steal that and make the chains have a red effect like they are glowing hot.

  16. I've been having a decent run with The Brewmaster with his new A Barkeep Never Sleeps upgrade and the Shadow Emissary, doling out 4 damage per poison point, then hiring a couple of the Crossroads 7 to make the drinking bubble even more detrimental, knocking off 8 or so points a turn for doing nothing. Mind you, I'm not at top table tournament skill level, but I'm making my local meta angry drunks.

  17. I think we should wait with making such assignment for January Errata and final version of GG18. I played my games during GG18 beta using almost only Hamelin, since he can do well with all strategies. Ours and Symbols of Authority can be problematic - first promotes killing enemy crew, so your opponent losses SS to control quarters, while second has Punish the Weak as always scheme, so enemy master/henchmen can score points very easy by killing rats or Stolen. However, if I had to make assumption right now, the list would be as follows: Ply for Information: Hamelin (can Obey friendl

  18. Three more minis, it's been a productive month as they bring my total to 50 soulstones (20 for two Bishops, 7 for Burt, 7 for Forgotten Marshal, 10 for Ryle , 6 for Johana).

  22. I had played in, and won, a tournament at the beginning of the month that had Ply for Info as the second round strategy and I won 10-2. I played vs a Zoraida crew that brought their Emissary so they had an easy way to get rid conditions, which sucked. Originally I posted this in the Colette thread and then again on the Facebook page and the idea of the crew got a lot of flak. Everyone thinks that using the Dancing Blade is terrible but trust me, its actually pretty good. I believe Colette is awesome for this strategy and plan to continue to use her when whenever this strategy comes up.

  23. I've had about 15 of these resistance fighters from Statuesque in-progress on my desk (ignored, possibly abandoned) for around four years. Finishing five more will bring me to 100 completed models for 2017. The bases are from Secret Weapon.

  24. I am surprised no one mentioned Yasunori among tier 1 TT masters! Great mobility, minion's support, deck control and draw, ridiculous amount of attacks at min. 3 damage, stubborn and armor are what his base card brings to the game. Beside of that, he has great personal upgrade Smoke Grenades (not to be confused with general upgrade with the same name which is however non-master only!) which is almost as good as Dark Protections, but lasts forever. But where his greatest strenght lies is the unique ability to choose between two absolutely awsome (albeit mutually exclusive - please Wyrd, fix it!

  25. First advice I would offer, give Old Major the Corn Husks Upgrade. This clears up a space on Ulix for another 1 SS upgrade. I would seriously look at either the Clobbering Stick (for a high damage 0 Action attack that is 1 better than Marcus' Defense) or the Throw Yer Voice (a good upgrade for disengaging and positioning your pigs around the field) upgrades. Since the Raptors seem to be giving your pigs an issue I might also recommend altering the crew build a bit to accommodate for better positioning (free movement and disengaging) and also better aid in churning out piglet summons (or why ar

  26. Happy Monday Wyrdos! In Malifaux Soulstones are a powerful item to have in your possession. In today's preview, we take a look at a character who can use them better than anyone else! The Soulstone Aficionado is an advanced pursuit from Above the Law that focuses on expanding the use of Soulstones. Aficionados increase the range at which their Soulstones gain charges from dying characters, and each time they complete a step of the advanced pursuit, one of their allies gives them a raw, uncut Soulstone. The more charming the character is, the higher the Soulstone's Lade. As

  27. You resolve "activation" effects before Generate AP happens, so since Catalyst does poison damage at the start of their activation and Scorpius says "anyone who takes damage from poison gets Slow", that means slow is in place when you get to the "Generate AP" step, so Slow actually works during that turn.

  29. I think the same thing about Debt to the Guild, especially when Show of Force is in the pool. You to use the card but you leave it attached and if you die you get its cost refunded into your cache? That seems at least as good as IE to me.

  30. I also vote for the SS 50 --> 100. It is a major change allowing for balancing out models and justifies a new edition, but it doesn't change the rules, which are mostly working fine. Then some revision of wordings and models, refreshing them and cleaning up the whole errata/0 upgrade fixes. I could also imagine some extra level added to the game, but who knows what that could be? But I guess for the time being, we will see a couple of alternative models first. Book 6 could be made up of story encounters with a few models thrown in (or not even); maybe some sol

  31. Actually, I had a dream last night about a Disco Ophelia crew. The whole family dressed in: Bell-bottoms... Afros... Gold chains... Huge lapels... And of course - roller skates (circa turn of the 20th century, Bayou-chic roller skates, naturally). Too silly? What're Gremlins for?! ;-)

  34. After a cold weekend here, it's time for the Witchling Handler to warm us up as a part of our Monday Preview! That sword looks nice and toasty, but I wouldn't get too close! Let's take a peek! Witchling Handlers are an advanced pursuit in the upcoming Through the Breach supplement, Above the Law. As one might expect, Witchling Handlers can order Witchling Stalker subordinate characters into combat, providing a very effective (and very volatile) fighting force. When a character becomes a Witchling Handler, she also gains a runed weapon that not only ignores the Incorporeal rule but

  35. Had a rough idea for a (0) cost Upgrade for the Rider, as well. I don't think the Riders should necessarily be tinkered with, as they've got their own mojo going on - vulnerable early, hardy late, and while you pay loads for them and you may feel they aren't worth it if they're only doing things for 3 turns (especially given the opportunity cost), they can be pretty dangerous if they survive. Maybe with the (0) Upgrade, he drops 2 * 30mm Soulstone Markers when he dies. That's a pseudo-price reduction, but is only really likely to come into play if he gets attacked early. Maybe the number

  36. This is severely off topic but just to note that Napoleon being short is likely a myth borne of the fact that French and English inches at the time were different lengths. Napoleon most likely was of average height. I do agree that a Napoleon Lenny would be funny, though!

  37. I've pretty much assembled every plastic model ever created by Wyrd and the Goryo are only the 2nd set I've ever rage quit during the assembly of...there are currently 35 assembled models sitting in front of me that I've assembled over the last few days and the second Goryo now has it's own tub of bits where it'll be staying till I've had a nights sleep and can face the bloody thing again, lol. I'd rather base the other 35 than look at that bugger again today...
