  1. The free focus for zero gives the option of two attacks, and the extra plus is all that's left after the first plus gets lost on cover, camouflage or hard to wound. Also if you have 3 rifles, or two rifles and a pathfinder, he's a force multiplier for all three... having said that I know what you mean. Maybe summoning upgrade gives him something to do whilst he is hanging back. I have converted Lucius to be playing a violin, and the scribe has a wine bottle on his tray, in my crew he is the Sommelier not the scribe. This is why they are tier 1 for me. He plays the violin and drinks fine

  2. As a newer player I’ve found that a lot of fantastic ideas can be found on the forums, PullMyFinger, Podcasts and several different blogs. However to make live a bit easier for newer players I decided to make a Compendium for the Guild. It covers all models we have now and will continue to be updated with further releases and obviously synergies. This Compendium acts as: - An oversight of all the Guild models (including exclusives) with links to the models - An small summery of all functionalities the Guild models have - An oversight of all the Guild cards with (including exclusives) l

  3. Hey everyone! As some of you may have noticed, the Mounted Guards that we released at GenCon are at a different scale than our other miniatures. This was an unintentional mistake on our part, and if you purchased one of these sets, you have our apologies for not living up to the high standards you've come to expect from our company. In order to correct this mistake, we've pulled the Mounted Guards from our production schedule in order to get them resized to the proper scale. When the new and improved Mounted Guards return, they'll be properly sized and ready to take the fight t

  4. With Nellie available for Black Friday I will finally be able to get my hands back into the Guild full swing for GG2017. I thought it would be fun to theoryfaux about Nellie abusing Embedded and hiring her max of four mercs. Here's the current list in mind: Nellie, 6 cache - Delegation, Embedded, Misleading Headlines Printing Press Strongarm Suit - Debt to the Guild Bishop - Numb to the World Trapper Trapper Reporter Reporter blahblahblah strats and schemes blah. Considering that you would take Embedded regardless of anything else, what do yo

  6. It's a lump sum of damage. The reason Pandora's isn't is because each model resolves their own ability. Here you count number of models/cards and then do that amount of damage at once.

  9. Question 51 from the FAQ: 51) If a model is removed from play (killed, sacrificed, etc) during its Activation, can it use the Accomplice Ability before it is removed from play? Can other models within range use the Companion Ability? No.

  10. A Fated character in my game has the Rampager Advanced Pursuit from Northern Aggression, and I think the Fuming Condition that this Pursuit gains and uses might need some consideration. The character gets Fuming +1 for each point of damage taken, but as the character advances in Rampager Ranks, there are other things that can also generate Fuming. We all had a pretty good laugh when the Rampager Character managed to get to Fuming +10 during one fight, but it's been happening more often than not that this character is ending Dramatic Time with with Fuming +10 or higher. During a a recent

  13. Quote deletion for emphasis. This is really the biggest thing coming out of Wave 4 for us. Watcher and Austringers were our only options to complete schemes without the strict "kill everyone first" policy. When your deck is cold or your opponent is mean, or both, we lose. I'm sure Fast Bishop (Fishop? Bishast?) would love to complete Convict Labor

  14. I run Betti with Asami 100% of the time currently at 19 tournament games . In competitive play she is a game winner. The switching off def triggers as 6" aura is unprecedented and hugely powerful in a significant proportion of games. Her synergy with Asami is also massive, The place within 6" of a summon makes her incredibly AP efficient which is also a game winner. Your point on card hunger whilst valid can be dealt with via recall training which you can get a double bite of thanks to terracotta warriors.

  15. Not that I want to get into a "You do know what they do to immortal super heroes, right?" discussion, there is the issue of the duration of Shapeshift spell and what happens when the spell expires. Disclaimer: I don't have a copy of Into the Steam handy, so I'm not sure how the immortality of the jackalope is implemented. But I can't help but think that trying to shapeshift into a wendigo or jackalope (or the various other not-quite-normal Malifaux creatures) falls into the "You should really read the warnings because the warnings come after the spells" category of things. Except

  16. To be fair you can cast it on a 9 of any suit. For summoning purposes a 9 normally would get you a 5ss model. So of the models you listed Necropunk is the only one that falls into that category and unless it is a crow you would be spending a SS on top of it. Of course if you have a 10 or 11 then you are looking at a flesh construct or Punk Zombie. I imagine often the big appeal though to Undead Crowning is not the positive to Ca Actions but the positive to damage flips. Having your models get a positive to damage flips increases the likelihood of getting better that weak damage *even

  18. - Lucius is both a prime dancer and a conductor: He directs the flow of the music and dances at the same time; - Lucius uses his minions as extra limbs: Nothing like ordering a model in 14" to focus and shoot 12" further; - He has an increasingly wider collection of models to bring with his Personal Retinue and the ability to double and triple the most useful tricks as he sees fit; - Free mobility and scheme markers. I mean, who doesn't love freebies - Usually it is not necessary to bring any upgrades with him other then Surprisingly Loyal - frees up soustones (or if so desired, allo

  19. I usually play her with Tannen (helping summoning but replaceable), her totem (usefull for stack flicker on summoned onis), Ama No Zaku and Bettari (they're both charging as 1ap near Asami and Ama can output 7 damage as heavy, expecially when in focus +2). Then I often play something who can remove conditions as paralyze/slow (Chiaki) because Asami weakness is wp5. With certain scheme in the pool you can also remove flicker from your summoned oni to negate interact scheme. Obviously you should have to buy all summonable oni too.

  20. So been running Yasunori in my lists, and so far it's been fantastic. I have all my rezzer models out for painting, so I don't have chiaki (no typos this time) nor anna right now. So I replaced them with yasunori and a jorogumo. Good stuff! Yasunori is great, as you would imagine. And the potential threat of attacking three times only to still be able to abuse his 10" charge is just icing. I will say that I have yet to take recalled training and I don't miss it. Here's why: You have baked in on attacks already. His damage track is NOT stellar. It's very mediocre, which it had to be

  21. From the FAQ https://www.wyrd-games.net/malifaux-faq-errata As specified on pages 32 and 33 of the Rules Manual, each model performs its Activation by itself and is then that Activation is done. If you have six models in the game, that's going to be six separate Activations. And if you can figure out how to do it, you can use Lead Mightmare once during each one of those Activations on the Teddy model.

  22. During a single activation means just that. You can't do it twice in a single daydream's activation but as soon as you move on to another activation you can do it again. It also means that a model that can obey cannot obey to do this action twice against the same model in it's own activation.

  25. It's not as bad as you might think. The 'fishing line' is fairly thick though you may find the attachment point to be a weak point. You could probably attach it to the side of the wheel with very little effort if that's a concern. Thanks for the kind words, also.

  27. Nicodem giving out fast or slow takes his AP to do so. Giving out slow requires the target actually be more effective than a Master's AP or you've traded down. Giving out fast essentially gives a delayed AP, because Nico is sacrificing his AP to do so. Molly first of all can utilize black blood, which adds up if used well, and allows for cluster bomb tactics. She is also the only master that can more reliable use a Belle Bomb tactic (clustering Belles for more attacks due to pounce when Lure is Utilized) against NB. Try the tactic with Seamus or another master and watch your cluster of belles
