  1. Hello there New Players and Old Players alike! I've noticed this coming up in a lot of different threads on different forums and in game store discussions and thought it could use some additional discussion and reference: TERRAIN IS A BIG DEAL IN MALIFAUX The amount, placement and type of terrain will affect your game. And not in a small way either. Now most people will realize quite quickly that if they use a traditional Warmahordes board of 2 trees and a small hillock Masters like Perdita get muchmuch stronger as their shooting attacks dont have to worry about pesky LoS or Cover, so

  2. Forsooth, return ye now to the grave from which thou hast risen, thou foul and wretched thread born of dark unholy magicks! (In other words, I'll shut this thread to avoid further post-beta confusions. Feel free to start a new thread if there's any further need.)

  3. Forgive me if I put this in the wrong location. I couldn't seem to find a place for 'fan-art' so I figured I may as well just put it here. Anyway this is a little piece I've been working on for about a week (on and off). Let me know what you think. C&C welcome and encouraged.

  4. Hello Wonderful Wyrd warriors I have been toiling on my computer these many months, endeavouring to craft a deck for the finer Malifaux resident. A deck with which to truly write history. A deck steeped in far too much attention to minor details as is healthy for one man... Today, for the first time, that deck is visible to the wider audience! It is still not completed. Nay, it still has many stages of revision, but you, discerning patrons; you can help guide it! Salesmanship talk aside, here's the link to the blog. Here, too, is a sample image for your enjoyment: Open Spoil

  5. Another Malifaux Podcast you say? Check out our introduction and learn about your three intrepid and bearded hosts from the frozen realm of December, I mean Minnesota. It’s a shorter format, under an hour usually, and focuses more on the Hobby than competitive play. You can expect plenty of painting and terrain building talk in the future, along with analysis of our favorite game format: Linked Story Encounters. We have a lot of fun with this and hope you’ll join us. Episode 2 coming very soon. You can find the show at www.immunetoinfluence.com If you like what you hear follow us on F

  6. All of your work is fantastic! The tones you achieved on the Ice Golem and Ice Gamin are remarkable. Crisp, yet soft enough to be believable. Working in monochrome can be a real pain to make it look natural. Your experience shows. I struggled a bit when working on my tots, but I'm learning. My favorite though, is your paint job on Willie! I can tell you had a lot of fun doing it. His personality really comes through.

  7. The part that has been amusing us locally is this scenario: Player 1, "I'm burning a soulstone." Player 2, "What are you burning it for." Player 1, "Because I want the Jelly bean."

  8. 1. Correct with the caveat that you can't declare a charge when engaged....even if you have a longer engagement range than the enemy and outside of theirs, engagement works both ways. 2. Correct.......however I think it's important to point out......STOP USING THE WORD 'MOVE'.......moving and walking are both game terms and do not mean the same thing..........a WALK action is the only thing that incurs a disengaging strike.....whereas there are multiple other things that are 'moves' but don't incur a disengaging strike. 3. Correct.....except the Executioner's movement is limited in tha

  9. The ability states its a 1/2/3 flip that cannot be cheated. That makes it different than a normal healing flip.

  10. You should be pleased with your crew! The paintjobs work because of the tight use of limited colours, and your decision to change the reds to oranges clearly worked out for the better. The skintones on Sebastian are nice and smooth as well! What's next on the painting desk?

  16. Hello everyone from Sacramento, I haven't participated in Malifaux in a year and a half and want to get back in again so here we go. I've played tabletop wargames since 1987. Cut my teeth on Battletech and D&D Skirmish back in those days. I used to be able to say I've played most table top mini games but those days are long over with the explosion of the hobby. There for a time several years ago I was also a Judge, Warlord, Battlemaster for Wizkids; it was Mechwarrior that got me back into the hobby after my children were born. I've played quite a few though including Warmahordes,

  17. guys, check the cards please. some of them have the Tyrant characteristic listed. For instance, Shenlong and Hamelin definitely do. Some of the Avatars, particularly Sonia, gain the Avatar Characteristic when they manifest.

  18. If she is like my son, instead of a hard crew to play, she will pick the one that is hardest to put together, knowing that the person that "persuaded" them into the game will be the one having to assemble the models.

  21. I'm sorry, but I don't think this is that confusing. If you would take damage from Burning, you heal that amount instead of suffering it. If the amount of damage taken from Burning is 0, you heal for 0. It doesn't say to heal for the amount of Burning; if that's the intent, it needs errata.

  22. Don't summon lcb next to rusty when she has a fist full of cards. Makes a sad day to be had. Summoning dreamer us good cause of what you can do. Cards permitting. But lcb version is mice for things like turf war or reckoning.

  26. This is ridiculous. A model is reduced to 0 Wounds. It is killed. Amy triggers that occur after damaging happen now. The model is still dead. Remove the model. It DOES NOT GET KILLED TWICE. Just stop.
