Soothe Spirit Burn Out Trigger Vengeance
Adran replied to SteampunkCake's question in Malifaux Rules Discussion
There are a few differences between an attack action and a tactical action. In addition to attack actions having a resist, you also can't perform an attack action on yourself. Likewise you wouldn't get to take advantage of the adversary condition if you were doing a sooth soul action because that states attack actions. Its not an attack action, so Lost love is not attacking and therefore is not an attacking model . I would say therefore they wouldn't suffer vengeance. -
Soothe Spirit Burn Out Trigger Vengeance
SteampunkCake posted a question in Malifaux Rules Discussion
If Lost Love uses Soothe Spirit on another model with Vengeance and declares the Burn Out trigger, does Lost love take the Vengeance damage? Vengeance +X: After Resolving an action that targeted and damaged this model, the Attacking model suffers +X damage. The term "Attacking Model" isn't defined anywhere in the rulebook. The rules do not differentiate an attack action or a tactical action other than if it has a resist or not, the same wording is used for duels and actions regardless of attack or tactical. -

As the models are in the app, ashes will now be allowed at this event unless you have posted them in discord please post proxies here for review

I just skimmed it, but does anyone know if every faction was supposed to get the same amount of new models? Those I have checked all had 14 except 10 thunders - they only got 6? I understand if not all factions get exactly the same, but less than 50% seems like a lot?😅

Just got the Ashes update in the app and went to try to create a Dr. Silas crew (he is dual keyword Asylum and Half-Blood). Looks like only the Asylum keyword is picking up correctly for hiring pool purposes. @dzlier

Heya Wyrdos, The Wyrd Easter Sales event is upon us! For those new to the community or are unfamiliar with the Wyrd Sales events it is a fantastic time to get Limited Edition models, and some free goodies in the process! Until Thursday, April 4th you’ll be able to pick up some limited-edition boxes and models. Pick up the Skeleton King and his ghastly courtiers, set sail with Mary Bonnet and the Brine and Bones Crew, or Delve into the Deepest Depths with Adi Adara! But that’s not all. This year, we’ve got a model eager to hop into your Ten Thunders crews! The Stab-it Rabbit is yours free after spending $100! We’ve got quite the selection available for this sales event (including a new alternate of Alphonse LeBlanc, which some of you might’ve spotted at AdeptiCon!), so there’s no doubt you’ll be able to find a model that fits perfectly into your crews. And if that's not enough, for every additional $100 you spend, you’ll be able to pick a free alt model! Some of our favorites are listed below, but you can check them out in the webstore too; the alts will be available for purchase on their own as well! Now for some less exciting news: We want to inform our valued community of a recent hiccup that has impacted our shipping schedule. Due to a printing mishap, thankfully identified before our March shipments were dispatched, the release of some of our much-anticipated box sets (Noxious Atmosphere, Prey Slain, and Bloodletting) will now be postponed to April. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. That’s all this week Wyrdos. What LE models are you planning to pick up?

Front of card resistance triggers
Adran replied to Essexkiwi's question in Malifaux Rules Discussion
Triggers don't normally rely on success in the duel to occur, but the default timing of a trigger (that which it uses if it doesn't have another timing) is after succeeding, whcih does require you to win the duel. When resolving and after resolving triggers will both work if you lose the duel. (So a trigger that is "when resolving reduce the damage suffered by 2" will work if you lose the duel and suffer damage). Hope that answers the question for you -
Can someone please explain when the resistance triggers on the front of a model's card are successful, depending on wording? I'm slightly confused on some, where if I flip that suit in the duel whether I have to win the duel, or whether it still goes off regardless. Edit. Specifically.. for both When Resolving, and After Resolving triggers, do both still work if you fail the duel?

Most DEFINITELY on my buy list. I was the biggest fan of Usagi Yojimbo when I was younger.

And finally hazardous terrain these spiders are hasn't as poison with and without reeds, the other two I've tried conditions but haven't quite got the balance right yet I'm also thinking of just adding some barbed wire fences for hazardous injured note I will normally only use one of these per game

Rules for playing with Henchmen as leaders
Adran replied to Echuca Games Store's topic in Malifaux Discussion
Im not sure what you are talking about. The core rules tell us how to use them as leaders. There is also henchman hardcore, which is explained in the gaining grounds documents. I can't think of any other henchmen variations, but I could have forgotten them. -
Could have sworn on a stack of Waldos that I saw a bunch of different play variations for Malifaux using Henchman as your leader. Anyone point me towards them or am I delusional?
