Omnicarbivore - Round 1 - Working Stiff

Curtis

When I heard the theme was Fool's Gold my mind immediately went to images of a forsaken miner ceaselessly toiling away beneath the earth. Forever surrounded by his riches and unable to reap the benefits of his labor. Here he'll rot, and forever slave. An eternal working stiff.

This was such an amazingly fun build. I got to push myself both in terms of constructing and sculpting but also in terms of painting as well. From the osl of the lantern and the pulpy parchment effect of the plaque to the hand carved walls and actual flecks of pyrite worked into the seams of the cave. I hope you all enjoy my first round entry and I look forward to round 2.

This is a repost due to the ruling that we are only allowed 1 photo per entry. As a result I did another photo shoot with different lights and a better backdrop. I think the quality came out a lot better this time as now you can actually see the colors :) Please let me know if you have any tips or advice on how I might take better pictures as photography is still a bit outside my comfort zone and any pointers are more than welcome!

Happy painting everybody! And good luck!
