 I like the gradient on the magic effect. I would have pushed it a little more in the eyes/mouth though.

Love the spell effect and the color used. Next step would be to highlight the character a bit more and glaze in some reflections from the effect. Great effort, congrats.

The green spell looks great. A bit more reflection on the model could have been cool though
