Love the contrasts and effects! It makes quite a lively scene, but still retains an organized layout that draws the attention to where you want it. It's certainly my favorite by a good margin. It just really stands out!

If I had to pick on anything, I think the emissary is a bit too dark and kinda dissapears into the background. I get that this is intentional to direct the focus, but a little wider falloff on the OSL would help define the volumes of the model a little better.

Everything looks gorgeous! But it is a little hard to make out exactly what's happening.

Everything looks fantastic. Completely mind blowing. The butterflies on the spell look so great. 

This time you have really outdone yourself. A wonderful setup with amazing details. Congrats.

Anything other than first place would be a mistake.

Thanks for the feedback, I always find it very tricky to present a larger piece well.

Thanks for the feedback! I agree, though it was a deliberate choice, as I wanted the focus to be on the magic. But could have maybe done some stronger highlights to make it more readible but use more desaturated colors.

Just wanted to say, well deserved win. It also was my favourite and kinda guessed it was yours.

Great composition, drawing the eye towards that beautifully executed bubble-effect. Great concept and great execution.

I think the decision to leave the Emmissary muted is the right one, although maybe you could try to implement some small details or any kinda of visuel interest, just to leave something for repeated viewing.

Your entry makes me wish i started a bit earlier 😛

Thank you so much for the comment. The excution was intentional but I agree with the feedback, I could have use more subtle and desaturate highlights for the same effect but better readability. Though the focus was to not overpower the magic effect, with the risk of undershooting. 
 

I didn’t win though, 3rd in public vote and best in wyrd, which I’m still very pleased with! Congrats with the best in overachiever, your piece was my favorite! Excellent atmosphere 👌 and great concept.
