That blue flame is just... wow... The composition is great, and it actually looks like the bullet trajectory is spot on (kudos!), The belle (or is it a performer?) could probably need some more work, as it seems a bit unfinished compared to the marshal.

Love this piece, the bullet and blood, the burst of light from the muzzle flash. It is very much a shame that this category has som many high quality paint jobs cause its ahrd to give all of these the recognition they deserve, even with 3 votes.

That blue fire is stunning, the whole action of the composition is great, and that most of the light in the scene seems to come from the muzzle blast itself really works for this.  You just know that this death marshal has got a whole horde to deal with after this one goes down, and the ironwork of the graveyard keeps an otherwise 'could be out in the woods' scene in a potentially urban environment. The only thing that nags at me about this piece, is actually that bullet, which appears to still have the casing on it, and to be not at all deformed by multiple layers of hard bone. Its one of those nitpicky things though, on an otherwise amazing piece.

Thanks everyone for the comments! Very nice. Too bad I couldn't do the job the way I saw it. Did not have enough time. It took less than a week to paint. There were really good entries in this competition!

That took you less than a week to make?! I am absolutely stunned that you pulled that level of quality off in that short a time! Really looking forward to seeing more of your work.
