KID55 291 Posted November 3, 2021 Report Share Sorry, but it too sloppy. Try to be more accurate. Quote Link to comment
MisterWerks 48 Posted November 4, 2021 Report Share I'm having a hard time seeing what you intended with this. Perhaps it's supposed to be snow, but it looks like marshmallow fluff to me. It seems you lost the detail in his face and clothes by not thinning your paints. Quote Link to comment
Nikshe 138 Posted November 4, 2021 Report Share Try look over some guides about painting faces, this one have open face that should not be so easy to forget Quote Link to comment

tricksey 3 Posted November 5, 2021 Report Share it's great to get the bug to compete - it is one of the best ways to level up your painting. Start with having a clean piece first then get into fancy schmancy basing effects. Quote Link to comment
Skrytnik 361 Posted November 8, 2021 Report Share Not a bad start! Next, I would advise you to focus on highlights and shadows - to make them more noticeable on all surfaces. To do this, among other things, you should not take pure black as the main color, because it cannot be darkened. It is better to lighten black (in fact, very dark gray) with bluish gray, and darken it with pure black. The database is full - it's good, but the idea is not very clear. As for the photo - the light is very yellow, it distorts the colors on the thumbnail. For photographing, it is better to find a neutral-white light bulb or take pictures outside on a cloudy day when the sky is covered with clouds. Quote Link to comment
Doc Lead 30 Posted November 8, 2021 Report Share Great start, try thinning down your paint a bit and using edge highlighting to delineate surfaces. Quote Link to comment
