This is my entry for the first round of Iron Painter.
The miniature is by a company called Cartoon Miniatures.
Rest of the base and the book within which I put my little scene is scratch-built (you can see several WIP pics in the WIP gallery).

some of it is. not with a brush but with a micro-marker. 
However, the point to this is not really the cover but what is inside the book :D - because of the theme, of course
