This year is the 10th SGT we’ve run, so we’re going big.

The event will be:
6 rounds of 4th Edition Malifaux
2 hours 10 minutes per round
50ss Fixed Faction Rules from Gaining Ground: Season 0
Lunch included both days
SGT swag for every player
Spot prizes returning
Skewed raffle
Fully painted crews rewarded with raffle tickets each round
Saturday Night Meal (not included in ticket ;P)

The swag will include a few new things, but the big one is the announcement of a new deck, which will be the other half of the World Cup deck.

We’ve also been working on the boards to make sure they all have height and work properly with 4th Edition. That includes 8 new faction-themed boards, which I’m really excited for people to see.

I can’t promise a unicorn this time, tragically, but we’re doing everything we can to make this not just a great GT, but a proper celebration weekend. We’ve always loved putting this event on for the Malifaux community, and I really hope to see you all there.

Entry tickets cost £15 and should be paid via PayPal as ‘Friends & Family’. Please include your name (or names if buying multiple tickets) and the name of the event (Misery Business) in the notes. The number of players will be capped at 32. Due to the costs involved in organising the event and support, if you are unable to make it after purchasing a ticket refunds can only be issued until 19/06/2026. The event will take place at Element Games, Stockport. The venue is located at: Hallam Business Centre, Hallam St, Stockport, SK2 6PT. There is limited free parking available at the venue and is a 25 minute walk from Stockport train station. The venue has a well stocked bar offering drinks including alcohol.

An international field will play 7 games over the weekend alongside the Avatar of Artistry painting competition.

Early Bird tickets at £55 are now available, with the price rising to £60 in July. Over 100 places available.

To make things easier to navigate, maintain, and actually use, we’ve streamlined this section into a cleaner global event hub rather than splitting activity across numerous regional subforums.

What Changed?

Previously, Events & Organized Play was divided into multiple regional sections (North America, Europe, Asia, UK, etc.). While that made sense at one point, it also spread discussions thin, created empty or outdated regional spaces, and made event visibility more difficult than it needed to be.

Rather than maintaining multiple low-traffic regional buckets, everything now lives in one centralized location.

Why The Change?

This update was made to:

• Make events easier to find

• Increase visibility for local, regional, official, and online events

• Reduce clutter and forum maintenance

• Keep discussions active in one place instead of scattered across multiple sections

• Modernize Organized Play for how the community actually uses it today

So… Where Did Everything Go?

Older regional categories and legacy event spaces have been removed as part of this cleanup.

This was done intentionally to create a fresh, active, and easier-to-use event hub moving forward rather than carrying forward years of fragmented structure.

How To Use Events & Organized Play Now

When posting a new event, simply include your region or event type in the thread title.

Suggested Prefix Examples:

[Online] Online / Vassal / Digital
[Official] Convention, Wyrd-hosted, or major organized play events
