So we have 11 models in 18 days to go. Th
36 Days. That would be how many days I have to paint the remainder of the model pool I would need to bring to my first tournament in 4 or 5 years. Pandora is the choice. Now, to train...
That Which Is Already Painted:
That Which Needs Paintening:
My painting task failed. Gloriously. I don't mean my efforts in the painting task were glorious, I mean the scale of failure itself was the glory. I got a week into it, then my life unraveled, and then I stopped for months. I only started recently painting again, deciding to paint what I felt like painting while in the mood, and to hell with themes or completing a crew. As a result I painted 2 Wardens, a Guardian, a Hunter, and the Mechanical Attendant. In 4 days.
But that is over now. I a
6 Month update
Well, here I am, 6 months into the challenge. Its going pretty well on the whole.
My Current collection is 1962ss, 414 models.
I’ve played 30 games and that has used 57% of my collection.
My CMON/Micro art bases arrived last week, so I can finally get around to basing the last few models I need to base, meaning Dreamer, Kirai and the Gremlin Faction become playable soon. (well for a given degree of playable)
So a look at the numbers

Last night at Durham Raiders was my ninth game of Malifaux, and my ninth win.
This time though instead of setting out to beat the life out of my opponents models I thought I would actually try scheme running and denial for a change.
The schemes I took were Assassinate and Cursed Object, the shared strategy was Squatter’s Rights.
David was running Brewmaster and co. so I decided to just run McCabe’s box as Sidir and the Wastrels are immune to WP duels in their own Activation gettin
Hmm, its already June and I haven’t updated in 2 months. Again.
Work has been busier that I expected, and I’ve not been writing up all my games properly, so I haven’t felt like I had anything to post.
But I have still been playing.
Since the last Update I’ve Played Joes Kirai list twice, once with Nicodem, and once with Mei Feng. And I proved Mei is twice as good as Nicodem. 9I lost 10-1 with Nico. I lost 10-2 with Mei).
So other than learning I don’t know how to beat Joe with Ki
One of my latest projects, Iazmu was my attempt to paint something a bit bigger and create a centrepiece for my Yan Lo crew. I made a decision not to weather his armour because, despite being hundreds of years old, I imagine he gets treated with rather a lot of respect by his decendants and has his laquer, enamel and metal surfaces polished well before entering battle. The arrows are clearly freshly embedded...
While Misaki and her crew feature bases decorated with meadow flowers, I wanted
Hi all, welcome to my wee corner of the site dedicated to my growing Ten Thunders collection. I figured I would start at the beginning, with my first and still favourite master, the lotus-blossom-of-death that is Misaki. The rest of her crew, the other Last Blossom models, and then some Ancestors will follow soon
So I've just built my first crew for the slow grow league starting tonight.
I finally settled on McCabe so I can add Guild and Ten Thunder models to the crew to flesh it out.
There is not a lick of paint on the models yet, not sure if I will paint them or just pass that on to someone else
Had a great time last night at the Durham Raiders club for a couple of reasons:
Went to a new club and met another group of people who shared my hobbies
Played my first game of Malifaux
Now even though point one is extremely important and was really fun as the club was well run and really welcoming, point two was the main exercise of the night.
I have been humming and hawing for months on the viability of me continuing with Warhammer in any way whatsoever and came to the de
So...after a hectic week and weekend, i have finished assembly and have my metal Taelor 90% finished. I love the detail on her and she was fun to paint. However, the Female kit is a bit problematic. The parts seem a little disorganized and it can be a bit hard to match up some of the arms to the items with premolded hands. Not a big deal in this project, but for my other one it was a bother. Oh well....still very happy with it so far. Back to the workshop.
Stay Wyrd...and remember, Gremlin
Ok...you've seen my reasons and opinions of the plastic crew. Now to see what i'm going to do to fix them.
Monday(5/11/15) I went to my LGS to just look around and see what I could see. To my surprise, I found found the 1.5 Vik's crew, and I am not ashamed to admit I had a girlish giggle moment. So with the purchase of it and the Through the Breach Female Kit,ideas began to surface in the mass of Swiss cheese filled with Tofu i call a brain.
First, I would assemble and paint both th
Ok so why am I doing this? As I posted earlier, some of the Plastic models in the crew that, while nice, just don't seem to look nice or good to me. So, to understand my reasoning,i thought I would give my views on how the models look. And to make it understandable, i will go from the best looking of the mini's to the worst.
Student of Conflict::This is my favorite in the set, and she looks like what she is supposed to in my opinion. A youngish girl(10-13??)that looks like a private schoo
Greetings fellow Wyrdlings, and other visitors and other living(or living impaired) visitors. This is the first entry in a series of blogs about my Viktoria crew and what i'm doing to them.
I love the Viktoria crew for 2nd Edition. They where my second crew and the first crew I ever won a game using,so they will always hold a special place in my heart. But I do have some issues with the crew, and they all stem from the appearance of the models. Now,i'm not saying t
Argh! I’ve not been able to update this for nearly 2 months.
I have played some games in that time. I have started to write some battle reports for them, but not yet finished them. As I find time I will try and write more and add them here.
Games I’ve played but not written about
Hoffman (Howard, Metal Gamin, Guardian, Witchling, Mecanical attendant, Warden, Watcher) A 3 way Vs Tara and Sonnia in a loot game (I was the middle player, and Lost).
Pandora (Poltigiest, Teddy, Illuminated,
So, first and foremost, the background about me, my painting skills, and the task ahead...
I started tabletop gaming over a decade ago with the 4th Edition release of Tyranids for Warhammer 40k. My painting skills were, lack of any better term, total shit. I globbed paint on everything, couldn't do anything with details, and generally made a mess of flocking and basing no matter what. That was when I was introduced to drybrushing, and I haven't looked back since.
All this time later, I
Well another update.

Just to introduce my self as a Malifaux player and a part of this community before I start getting on to the point:
- This is my first blog ever and it's in English language which is not my first language, so please bear with me. Feel free to correct me, both on the claims I make and any grammar I might have fudged up. I'd really like to see some discussion and criticism, so I hope people will read this with an open mind.
- I've gotten into Malifaux through the fluff and artwork and te co
