August Releases

And again no Ophelia LaCroix alias the Kin box, except if you are ad GenCon, why isn't Ophelia LaCroix on the August release list if she is available ad GenCon which is in August and the box were to have been released a long time ago, I'm kind a annoyed by this as there is no excuse to why The Kin box isn't available in store in August. 

All sorts of reasons - I can assure you that it's not because I don't want to sell it to you, or make you show up at Gen Con to get it just so I can see your smiling self. 

There were production issues with the T1 - which means it was jacked up. We could have just let it go on through if we didn't give a crap about product shrinkage and holes in the plastic, which leads to a ton of greenstuff and nothing fitting properly. 

We chose instead to fix the tool, and quite bluntly, some miniatures are more difficult to tool than others, particularly if they are smaller yet require the same amount of detail. While yes, we will have it for Gen Con, it is only because it is being flown in a few days before the show.

Fair enough Nathan, but if you can sell it ad Gen Con wouldn't that mean that its been fixed?

I'm guessing you can't tell when Ophelia will be out, I'm guessing late September or early October.

Sorry for being on your back about this, but its just strange that its possible to sell The Kin box ad Gen Con but not having them in the stores, try to se it from a buyers perspective, you read that The Kin box are sold ad Gen Con but isn't on the release list and it was meant to have been out some months ago and many delays have happened you have been waiting for a very long time for that item to get out, it just sound kinds strange if you don't know the fact.

I'll just wait till September then and se what happens.

You did read the part about it being 'flown in days before the show' correct?

That means its being flown in, directly to site, packaged, and put on the floor for sale. That doesn't leave time to have it sorted, put through the pre-sales for distributors, packaged, mailed out to them, give them a street date, and have them get it to the stores, before Gencon. 

There is quite a bit more to it than just having it in hand, and yes, delays happen.

And it's not like they're even a real faction anyway ;)

Pffft, gremlins forever!

Sorry Nathan but I got the information from Chronicles 13 which doesn't say anything then that The Kin box and other miniatures are being sold ad Gen Con, so no I did not know they were flown in days before the show.

I guess I wouldn't have reacted like I did had it not been in Chronicles 13 and had I read the reason behind it, but there was no reason for me to read the Gen Con forum posts, if its there it is mentioned, as I am not able to go to Gen Con, sorry for the inconvenience, I didn't mean to make a unnecessary fuss.

I like the Gremlins especially Ophelia, I have 6 Ophelias painted in different color schemes and some have been converted, the fact that I can only get her by buying the box have frustrated me and I have more or less excepted it, but the delays sadly enough have brought back the frustration, when one likes something its easier to get annoyed and frustrated about it.

Weren't Guild Guards supposed to be out in this month's release too?

I think they may have been held back. They're now to be included in the Lucius box set, so my suspicion is that they won't be released as a separate "minions" box until after the Lucius box hits retail.

Remember, you can order anything from Gencon off the Wyrd webstore during Gencon, so you aren't being left out.

@mbowsher76, well if you live in the US then yes the Wyrd store is one way to get them, however if you live overseas like in some European countries it becomes expensive as shipping and customs costs makes it cost more then buying it from one of the stores in Europe.
