slow and fast

I am a little fuzzy here, so ill ask just to be clear...

if a model has already activated and later gets one of these conditions, does it last through the end of the turn and affect them during the next turns activation?

ie: my death marshal moves and shoots... my opponent has a rotten belle undress(? eww?) to cause slow... does this make my death marshal slow during his next activation, or do nothing because he has already activated?

I am inclined to think the former, but could use clarification to be sure, so i am teaching it correctly.

It is stated that Fast (and Slow) end at the end of the model's next activation, not the End Phase.
