I thought that I would re-post to this to remind people. Details have been ironed out now and this is the event plan going ahead.

Introduction.

Skirmish Showdown is a Malifaux Tournament organized in association with Skirmish XII and Livingston Battlegrounds (http://www.battleground.org.uk/)

Livingston Battlegrounds is a wargames/CCG/RPG club that has been running for over 9 years now on a Saturday morning, and more recently, a Friday night.

Skirmish is an independent charity wargames convention, organized by Livingston Battlegrounds, in aid of raising funds and awareness for Scottish Veteran’s charity Erskine (http://www.erskine.org.uk) Skirmish XII is the 4th year that Skirmish has been running and sees the convention expand and challenge Claymore for the biggest wargames convention in Scotland.

Turns out that I forgot to post this here. Everyone who is attending has been aware of the changes for about 2 weeks now.

With Skirmish just over 2 weeks away on the 20th October I’ve decided to make a few changes to the programme based on feedback from the recent Clover’s Pact tournament.

Some of our more experienced players have had to drop out due to family and life, but thanks to Barry’s recent ‘Dead Heat in No Mean City’ leagues, we find those spaces being filled with the newer players.

As this is their first event, I decided to cut the rounds down from 4 to 3 and to use the spare time to increase the time for each round to 135 minutes (2hrs 15) This should allow them to really enjoy their games, rather than worrying about the clock.

So, new schedule for the day:

09:00 Event open & registration

10:00 Round 1 Shared Plant Evidence (10:00 to 12:15)

12:15 Lunch (A Bacon roll and Tea/Coffee/Can is provided)

12:45 Round 2 Shared Supply Wagon (12:45 to 15:00)

15:30 Round 3 Shared Slaughter (15:30 to 17:45)

18:00 Awards & Prizes
