Tabletop Nation is a new store & gaming venue being set up by Wayland Games and Beasts of War. Eventually it will comprise a store and a large gaming venue, but initially will just be the store and a temporary gaming space.

As part of their launch event I will be running Malifaux demos all day, and have also booked some space for some 'normal' games to be played. So even if you are an experienced player pop down to get in a couple of Dead Heat games. Also if anyone wants to help out with demos let me know.

Date: Saturday 11th August 10:00-18:00

Venue: Tabletop Nation, Hockley, Essex SS5 4AD

From their press release:

"So, the Tabletop Nation Pop Up store will open it's doors at 10.00am on Saturday August 11th 2012, offering the following great services and facilities:

  • Fully functional and well stocked retail store, complete with credit card facilities
  • Terminal access to the Wayland Games webstore
  • Dedicated playing area for CCGs
  • Custom designed gaming tables for up to 80 players (depending on the game system), complete with brand new, high quality 28mm and 15mm terrain
  • Free Wifi
  • Drinks, confectionery, potato snacks and cake bars

Oh, and did I mention that everyone who comes along to say "Hi" on the 11th will get some mighty fine goodies? For starters there will be a desirable worthwhile goody bag for anyone who spends over £20 in the store, plus...plus...plus...we will have special deals on a wide range of starter bundles for various systems, and maybe one or two other little surprises too. So, with a bowling alley and a kids Monkey Business literally across the road, there's no reason why you can't come visit for the day and have a great old time!

And one final "Oh" - we have oodles of free car parking, plus the Hockley train station is only a 5 minute walk away. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy indeed!"
