Stonedog-7
So come te new year i've decided i'm going to get myself a bunch of the Sarissa Precision Western buildings to move away from what's become out fairly "standard" gaming scenery of a handful of buildings, forests, rockpiles, swamps etc What i need now is some ideas of where to get some nice and preferrably cheap fences, horse troughs, piles of supplies, barrels, cactii and the like to really flesh out a Western themed table... i've found a couple of options but figured the community would likely be able to provide me with plenty more Only stipulation is i'd rather stick to ordering from within the UK to avoid pesky customs issues and extra costs
Bigkid
The Pegasus range of fences, barrels etc. are pretty good. Solid enough for the rough and tumble of tabletop gaming and they come pre-painted (not brilliant but more than enough for scenery). Check Ebay for prices etc.
Clousseau
Ainstey do a good range of crates, veg in boxes, barricades, etc. Dreamholme make a well and a gallows.
Yazza
paint up some tumble weed on glass marbles and get a kid to roll em around the table from time to time
Omenbringer
Armor Cast sells some of what you are looking for. Also Pegasus makes some really nice Cactus sprues that will fit a Western themed board nicely.
fritz the cat
hrm, those pegasus hobbies cacti are pretty rad actually... and dirt cheap... I may just have to pick some of that up. I dont like how alot of their stuff is pre painted though. I'd rather paint things myself, and im not much a fan of paying a premium for a service im not utilizing
Omenbringer
You do have to use a true primer before painting them though or the paint wont adhere. Brush on primer didn't work very well but Duplicolor sandable primer worked perfectly.
LonelyPath
Renedra make some nice and affordable fences and I use them myself (I also use their gravestone set which again is nice).
Darios
Anyone experiences with the Renedra Buildings...? are the suitable?
Maniple
Lemax makes Halloween decorations that work for Malifaux. I use their fences and gravestones. They are prepainted, may need some touch up when you get them to fit the rest of your scenery. Also try Department 56 for crates and fences.
