SteamHammer
Am I the only one who loved painting the Marshals? They were really fun to do! I didn't mind the Marshals. Pain to assemble but the painting was ok. It was the Witchling Stalkers that drained my will to do anything.
SteamHammer
Week 1 update: Thoughts so far: Modelling putty - tricky to use for sealing joins but I can see a lot of potential for it. Will definitely be using it for the bases of some of the bigger nephilim. Glasing? Not really there yet, I tried but it still just seemed like watery paint. Either too watery and acting like a wash or not watery enough and not going on in a smooth see through layer. Needs more practice.
nightseer
I didn't mind the Marshals. Pain to assemble but the painting was ok. It was the Witchling Stalkers that drained my will to do anything. The Witchlings were fun to paint too The ones I didn't like...Sonnia (that model is kinda boring, the alt is way better) and Samael, and assembling the Judge... SteamHammer
I liked Sonnia. I painted Samael last of the box and at that point was just glad to be finished. It might have been other factors in life at the time and I'm judging them to harshly, but it took me ages to get motivated enough to paint them. edonil
So, got the Dead Rider done, here he is! Pleased with how he turned out. Also got some other stuff done before August, so they're in a seperate thread, along with my WIP for Kirai.

Halflingspy
Hi all - here to hopefully join in - I haven't yet painted, but I just started the spray paints, and still want in. I think that's okay, so here it is... Korpsmen: x2 Freikorpsmen Von Schill Specialist Librarian Trapper Female Convict Gunslinger ...That's what I have so far. I really like the outlaws, and I'm hoping to add the Viktorias, Misaki, Ronin... but as for right now, money's tight, and we'll see where it goes. Can I do two seperate crews? Also, am I supposed to post a picture of them before being painted? Thanks for organizing this - its a good little initiative

Tuesday
Hmm.. I think I could give this a try. I'll be painting a C. Hoffman crew as well as another Showgirls set! Yay for deadlines!
Geckilian
Right, got a bit more done in the past couple of days. Firstly, finished B and C of the alphabet block Teddies, so here's a group shot - Dreamer got finished too. The blood stain trailing from his blanket is lighter than shown, but gloss varnish is hell for my camera. 3 of the 5 Sorrows were finished - I still need to get parts to make the other two, as I'd rather not have duplicates. Here are the proxies for the Doppleganger and Pandora, continuing the monochrome and spot colour theme I have going for the Neverborn - Finally, I've done 8 'Malifaux' rats, using the plastic skaven ones. Again due to gloss varnish the sewage bases look nearly black, rather than the dark green they are. Ah well. Also need to tidy up a base edge and cobblestone it seems. For the rest of this month I'll probably try to get the Arachnid Swarm done as well as a large chunk from the Guild contingent. Also, I'll likely be adding Zoraida, Collodi and a bunch of 'Wicked Dolls', Voodoo Doll, Stitched etc etc. Oh, and a Weaver Widow proxy! Ye gods, the lead mountain never ends... CRC
Electrical creation is nearly done. I'm going to glaze the stocking with a bit of red to tie it in with Ramos, plus any touch-ups that I decide are needed.
Vinncent
Pandaora looks really creapy! :congrats:

Evaine
Hmm, this whole painting project idea is very intriguing and definitely at my pace. I think I'll sign up - 1 mini/month should be about my pace. I had quite a few models to paint prior to Gen Con, and now I have even more. My current list of minis: Based, primed, and ready to paint: Viktorias Taelor Bishop Johan 2 Ronin Convict Gunslinger Von Schill Freikorps Librarian Freikorps Specialist Freikorps Trapper 2 Freikorpsmen Waiting to be assembled: Dead Justice crew Justice, Avatar of Balance Sonnia Criid (alternate sculpt) Sonnia, Avatar of Conflagration (assembly in progress) Nightmare Edition Teddy Miss Demeanor Male and Female Desperate Mercenaries Miss Pack (won her at Gen Con ) I'm currently painting Johan, as I had started him prior to Gen Con. I'll post an "in progress" pic when I get a chance - I'm currently on a stretch of 3 12-hour nights, so probably not until at least Monday. Angor
Hey guys thought I would finally get round to adding some pictures to the thread. There is some amazing looking work going on here its really nice seeing so many different gangs in one place. Geckilian I am totally going to steal your swimming rats idea they look great! So im doing a Hamelin gang, I started painting them and then played a dozen or so games then got bored. I am determined to give them another bash! Its a pretty basic Hamelin gang with Nix, Ratcatchers, Stolen and Rats. So there will not really be any suprises coming in. lots of bits have some paint on them but nothing is finished so here are the WIPs. Nix Stolen Rats Also I may have gone a bit nuts taking photos of rats.
Geckilian
Cheers Vinncent, glad the intention came through! Feel free to nick the idea Angor - best part about it is that there's far less rat to paint. Also a disclaimer for these next two photos - I only painted the base, not Colette herself. This Colette I was lucky enough to nab off of popg0estheworld, who I'm sure many of you know of as the owner of the lovely Kirai crew, Ress and Leveticus crews, Lady J and so forth. I merely rebased this figure so it matches my other Arcanists, and so the sign can be seen clearly. I'm still working on the arachnid swarm (i.e. haven't started it...) and the Executioner is half done.
Dumb Luck
Best. Colette. Ever.
