Hi all,

On the evening of friday the 28th of January at Warpcon 2011 there will be 30SS knock out malifaux tournament.

Entry will be E5, and will go directly towards the charity auction.

Ruleswise, the tournament will use the up to date erratas, as well as the rising powers expansion. Proxies and conversion are allowed, as long as they are clearly identifiable as the target model.

Encounters will use individual strategies, and schemes from RP. In addition to this there will be a joint scheme in each game as follows:

Deface/Restore the Statue!:

Place a 40mm marker in the centre of the table. This is the statue.

Non Guild factions: During the game, a model may take an (all) action while within 3" to deface the statue, giving a total of 1 VP. If, at the end of the game, your opponent has not restored or defaced the statue further, gain an additional 1 VP.

Guild Factions:

During the game a model may take an (all) action while within 3" to restore the statue. This gives 1 VP. If the statue has been defaced during the game already, and remains restored at the end of the game, or if the opponent does not deface the statue at all, gain an additional 1 VP at the end of the game.

Defacing/restoring can be done once per crew per turn.

This scheme does not apply if both players are fielding Guild crews - in this case, each player gains 1 additional SS that is added to their SS pool during the game, which can take them over the normal SS limit.

Clarification:

Once you restore or deface the statue, you gain 1 VP, and you cannot lose it. If you prevent your opponent from restoring/defacing it, you gain an additional VP. If your opponent defaces/restores after you have done so, you can make an (all) action while within 3" to deface/restore again.

Anyway, I hope to see you all there.

cheers
