Klute
EDIT NOW THE FULL GALLERY IS UP AND RUNNING I WILL USE THIS THREAD TO POST WORKS IN PROGRESS AND SUCH. Hi Just a couple of things to get the ball rolling. First up is a wip shot of Issabelle from Hasslefree. Just the water to go on. Next is the big cyber dude Ive been sculpting. He is done now and is being sliced up for moulding and hopefully sale. Ive renamed him too. Kurgan 54mm Let me know what you think.
Nathan Caroland
I likes! On the chick on the rock up there, the pebbles or whatnot that you have under the main rock, is that just GS that you rolled and then just cut to make the flat rock look? Either way, she looks damn nice! What are you planning to use for water? Can we get a close up shot of her right breast - looks like you did a bit of freehand work there as a tattoo. I like Kurgan, great first sculpt. Having him molded and selling him yourself or having someone else do that (feel free to tell me to bugger if its not the time to ask that!)? Great work. Klute
Cheers Nathan. The little rocks are GS just like you say. I roll out a suasage and cut lots the same length and then round them in my fingers and press them into place with the wax5. The slight press squashes them into pebbles. I do this with different thickness suasage to get some size variety. The tattoo you mention is a freehand all over her back and onto the front. Close up in the final pics. Im hoping to cast some resin Kurgans myself but open to offers/options of course.
ergman
Hey! looks great Mark! Like I told you, you are improving a lot, I like the details of the veins, anatomy proportions more than correct, and very smooth surface keep working :thumb:
Klute
Cheers Edgar. Im going to do a 54mm generic type barbarian next. More anatomy practice.
anatora
Her skin is lovely. (Darn, I have got to finish your tutorial!) It will be wonderful when it is all finished. I also like the big guy. Don't forget me when you go to put him on the market.
Celtic Lilly
I think the lady is very pretty. Do you tape off the base when you do your water affects or just clean it up? Your green guy is nice as well. I can't sculpt a thing so I appreciate anyone that can do so.
EricJ
Klute, I have to say I'm really enjoying watching your process as learning to sculpt, keep posting your greens!
tidoco2222
I love the green it is awesome are you thinking of having it cast up I'm sure you'd sell them, I'd buy one for definate.
Klute
Im trying to resin cast him but its a long "bubbly" process at the moment. Problem is I dont want to waste too much time on him when I should be practicing more. CL....this one I used some clear tube carved to fit around the rock to "cast" the water into. The edge came out a bit "foggy".
supervike
Great stuff Klute. You are one of my (many) favorites from CMoN. I love your more subtle style.
Duende
I just love that Issabelle one. Can you post a back shot as well? I'd love to see where you went with that tattoo on her back. Kurgan is good too, I'm just not into the big brutish types. :You_Rock_
Celtic Lilly
Can you post all the ones you have done lately and not brought over here? Someone said something about a Munchkin and a pretty woman on water. I think.
Klute
Yup sure will. Just been a bit lazy. In my proper gallery though.

cdukino
The Hasslefree girl on the rock looks brilliant. Very smooth skin. She looks so peacefull and in thought, maybe even a tad sad. Great work. The green looks food to, maybe not my type of miniature but that's not to blame due to the sculpt. Looking very good and I'm intrested to see more of your little green man woman and things :thumb:
Nathan Caroland
Gallery approved - minus the ogre, that didn't upload completely for some reason.
Drake Farstrider
As always I am a fan of you painting style Klute. Your skin tones always come out nice. I like kurgan, very cool. It looks like you also left some room for conversions, for those peeps that can do that kinda stuff. I look forward to seeing more greens from you. Duende
Wow! That bit of ivy tattoo on Issabelle's knee and shoulder didn't prepare me for her back! Awesome! I love that water and pier base on that other one too! What did you use for water? Very cool!
gi6ers
What did you use for water? Hope Mark doesn't mind me answering but it's 2 part epoxy. He's mentioned that another tutorial is on it's way on water bases...(not that he's busy :vb_tongue )
Klute
Cheers Matt. Yeh 2 part clear epoxy glue. Multitude of uses. Thats on Munchie's base too with a little red paint added. @Nathan......wasn't sure about the Ogre too but when I tried to upload it again it said it was cos it was over 250k. Nathan Caroland
I like this one alot Mark, has a lot of character and the guys look great sloppy wet.
gi6ers
Very cool, like the wet blood look. She's a lot brighter than your usual style (not in a bad way) any reason?
Klute
No reason. I dont see her as bright really. I gave the hockey stick a bright scheme becuase Jess was very muted with earthy leathers. I went to town with the face though to get some colour. Blue eyes and rosey cheeks. To be honest I dont intentionally try to keep to a certain style. I just paint what I fancy at the time.
