tomrakewell
I just recently started playing with my two roommates, but I'd love to find some other people who play in DC, preferably NW. It'd be great to not have to travel out to the suburbs to find a group!
Veskit2k
Hi there! I'm out in capitol hill and am also looking for a group who plays in the DC area. I'm still new to the area, but I'm hoping to find a group to play with that doesn't require me to drive 40 minutes out to the burbs.
tomrakewell
Super! I live in Petworth and have a board, a bunch of terrain, and Guild and Arcanist crews. I have room to play in my house but would also be interested in finding a game store or place to play in DC. Also welcome to DC. I love this dumb city. valhallan42nd
Look, I know you said you wanted to stay inside the city. I understand that. But city real estate isn't conducive to large gaming stores. There is a Captial Area Malifaux facebook group, and Dream Wizards has a player base, from what I understand. Huzzah Hobbies in VA is also good.
doubledragon
Hey guys! @Veskit2k @tomrakewell I live in DC, NW. I would be more than happy to have some games with you guys in the area I also go through to Crystal City (right above the crystal city metro stop) to play during the week with a very consistent group of good guys. The meta is very strong, with some guys who consistently place in tourneys in and around the DC, Virginia, Maryland scene. If you wanna get in touch, feel free to email me at doubledragondyl@gmail.com
Veskit2k
@tomrakewell awesome! I have a bunch of outcasts and some mats. I would be down for getting a game in a house. The only store near me is Labyrinth and they don't seem to have the space for miniature gaming. @doubledragon I'll shoot you a message. Crystal City is definitely not too far from me. (Keenan)
I'm also going to second the trip to the burbs. It's been a while since I lived in the DMV, but there are a lot of stores with active communities, many should be reachable by Metro

Or you could get on the metro for 15 minutes and play with a gaming group that meets regularly every week. Whatevers easiest.
4thstringer
We've got a group about an hour into the MD burbs (practically into the countryside) if you decided you want to play there.
Kolath
Hey folks, host of the Crystal City game night here. Send me a PM if you want me to add you to the email list for that. Also, I highly recommend you join the Capital Area Malifaux facebook group. All the general DC-metro area events get posted there. There is a very active community in and around DC! Welcome! Finally, if you haven't heard about it, I highly recommend you come to the NOVA Open Wargaming Convention. It is a big 4-day convention in Crystal City on Labor Day weekend that includes a number of Malifaux events as well as dozens of other game systems, over 40 seminars on everything from starting a youtube channel to how to airbrush.
