Yes boys and girls. It is here!!! The long awaited information for the English GT.

This will be a 2 day, 6 round event taking place at Wayland games in Hockley, Essex. It will follow the usual gg18 rotation but with a minor twist to keep things interesting. 3 rounds will be played on each day and awards will be given out on Sunday after all 6 rounds are complete.

Tickets will cost £20 per player. I will advise that 2 weeks before the event runs is the players last chance to get goodies. Pay after this, you will still be in attendance but I cannot guarantee those bits of plastic crack that we all love. Please make payment using the following link: https://paypal.me/pools/c/82y9ihe0ED

Registration will take place on Saturday morning at 10am until 10:30am. Please arrive at the venue within plenty of time. I anticipate a large number of attendees.

I may be holding a separate team event which has no sway in the tournament but this is based on the attendance and will be announced closer to the event. It's just for funzies. Details on this will follow. Note; team will consist of no more than 5 players but multiple teams may be entered. You may only register with 1 team.

I will be providing the following awards (based on attendance of course):

Podium prizes (1st, 2nd and 3rd)

Best loser (spoon)

Best painted crew (a judges choice and a players choice)

Best in faction

Best sports

Plastic crack for first 35 atendees guaranteed, will grab more if it is feasible and within budget.

I will also be aiming to get some wyrd prize support for a raffle on Sunday.

In the event that there is an odd number of people, I will be supplying a ringer. This may well be me but said player will be listed as a ringer for purposes of rankings and I will give the opposing player the option of a bye to score 10-5 or a fairly easy game and they take the actual result. I will be looking to avoid playing myself so will be asking around for a ringer.

More information to follow.

Looking forward to completing the trilogy of GTs in 2018.

Can we go to the same Italian restaurant on Saturday night as last year please?

We went to an indian after day 1 last year.

It was the showdown that we went to italian. Either way, we can return there

Picked up some very nice wyrd prize support and there will still be more to come.

Trophies, goodies and some other bits to be arranged shortly too.

Keep sharing this amongst your groups and social media. My first big event and I have high hopes for this. Make the English gt great again (not that it was ever bad)

Is there a minimum painting requirement?

As much as I find it frustrating to play against an unpainted crew, I will not enforce a fully painted requirement. However, you have 4 months to get a reasonable amount of models painted to a basic standard.

Choice is yours though; play with or without painted minis. You'll not be penalised for it 😉

There will also be numerous painting prizes available so I would rather encourage you to have some paint on models

Currently 12 attending.

Spread the word guys, there is no reason not to have a great turnout for this, my biggest event yet.

Those of you who attended hippy-faux part 1 or 2 will know how smoothly I can get things to run. So if you'd like to see me running around like a headless chicken, buy a ticket.

Bring friends and have fun.
