Ideas for Myranda conversion\alternative in a McMourning Crew

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I need your help. I don't see the model fitting the theme (and my tastes) of our friend douglas, so I decided to grab her card alone and I'm searching for a thematic and cheaper alternative ( not another nurse), maybe MM alternative master? But how to convert in order to represent her skill? Other ideas are welcome!

For a straight proxie, Doppleganger for staying within Wyrd product line maybe? Its sort of going through a transformation.

The Wild West Exodus product line has some possibilities: http://www.wildwestexodus.com/warrior-nation/35827-walks-looking

For conversion...I know you mentioned you didn't want another nurse, but what about Nurse Heartsbane from the starter? She stays in McMourning's theme. For the shape shifting ability you could work with the Hoarcat models. I recently did a conversion using them to make Abominations for the Crazy Cat Lady and they were easy to work with. Replace her left arm with a Hoarcat arm/paw and maybe add a tail?

Other conversion ideas:

There is a female Guild Guard that you could do the same sort of conversion with. Lilitu is sort of animalistic as well. Cut off here horns and you've got a satyr for Myranda. You could get real weird and paint Mei Fang's metalic claws as animal hands....that assumes you can find somebody selling Mei Fang so you don't have to spend $40.00 for a conversion. Shikome are another potential source of human sized animal parts, bird legs for myranda?

Luckily I got a doppelganger for Christmas, I didn't think about her 😂 I didn't want to use other company model for the "tournament legal proxie bla bla" regarding Dr. Dufresne? A friend got her and don't have any use for her, some animal bits for her to decorate?

The metal version of Myranda actually looks like a properly proportioned human being and could be easily converted to something Resser-ish I think.  Only thing is that the metal version is kind of rare and took me a while to track down. Always a chance she might be available on the Facebook trade page.

Saw her, it's another interesting option. For the pack I'll pass because of the shipping and so on. I'll stick with the doppelganger until I'll get the metal myranda, Can I use the doppelganger for  tournies for the moment?

It's a Wyrd model, and not capable of being used in an Arcanist list so there won't be any confusion about it.

It's up to the t.o. if they would allow it or not, so check before each event, some may allow it because it's not in a list that could hire a doppelganger, others may not because it is just putting a wyrd model down with the wrong rules, so easy to confuse people. ( guild can already hire doppelganger for example, and Doug s new hiring is still new).

Don't think most TOs would mind if you used Dufresne since it's impossible to have both her and the doc in the same list. You could write Myranda on the base.

@zurelol where do you live? I could ask if any swedes have the old metal Myranda.
