Misaki's The Storm Upgrade

Hi, Misaki's new upgrade (The Storm) says:
Fury of the Storm: When damaging an enemy model, this model may place all resulting  markers anywhere in 12" of this model and withing LoS.

From which model should markers be placed? From upgrade bearer or from the target of attack action?

It's Misaki's action. Therefore Misaki is "this model". It would say "target model" if it wanted you to place blasts from the target model.

Hi, addition to the question. Rulebook (pg. 58) says:

Quote

A model cannot be affected by a Blast Marker if the original target of the blast effect is not within LoS of the model.

In case of The Storm upgrade, does it require LoS from both, Misaki and original target, or from Misaki only to deal damage with blasts?

From both. Misaki has an additional rule for placement but doesn't override the normal blast effect rules of only being affected if you see the original target.

Note that Misaki only needs to see a sliver of the marker to place it but models under thr markers only tske damage if they see the original target so most of the time it should be pretty easy to place them so she sees them but the model also sees the original target.
