Monthly painting challenge 2017 -- July

Finished a second Punk Zombie. Not satisfied with his blue jeans. I had to switch from Necron Abyss to Kantor Blue as a base color because the Necron Abyss dried out and isn't produced anymore. But apart from that, I like him.

Probably the last model I'll get completed this month, putting me at  39SS(2 Punk Zombies for 14, 2 Pistoleros for 10, a Madness for 5, the Necrotic Machine for 2 and Coppelius for 8).

Puuh, private life is a harsh mistress this month but I managed to start painting the Kirai Box: 

 

 

 

Bases will be done when everything Resser-related is finished :-)

Hello guys,

I was able to finish the lone marshal (8ss) and the sexycutioner (9ss) for a total of 17ss. I'm not sure if I will be able to finish the second executioner as I'm going on holidays soon.

Calling July done with four Outcast models painted! The Viks, Student of Conflict, and Big Jake for a total of 34 SS (15 Ash, 10 Blood, 4 Student, 5 Jake).

@FranchuteThat's Iyanden Darksun - Army Painter Strong Tone - Iyanden Darksun - and then subsequent highlights with Bleached Bone; it's coming our yellowish due to the lighting but basically, you could easily make it more yellow by using one or two coats of lamenters yellow in the end :-)

I wouldnt make it more yellow. It is great the way it is.

I've finished 4 Seishins today, the Kirai Box is nearly finished. Should be do-able until the end of the month :-)

I have my two July models done with only two days to spare.  I should set a better example and work earlier in the month.  Here is avatar Ramos and a large arachnid for 21 SS painted in July.  Onwards to August !

By the by, let me know if you are interested in running the painting challenge next year.  If no one else wants to take a turn, I will do it again, but I would also value the time saved.

July's been super busy as expected. Fortunately I was able to finish my Union Miners early in the month and I've just now finished 4 Guild Hounds for a total of 27ss.

Wow, managed to finish the stuff I wanted to do:

Kirai (15SS), Lost Love (4SS), Datsue Ba (8 SS), 4 Seishin (I agreed with @prof_bycid how much summoned models would bring - peons will grant me 3SS each) and Ikyro (10 SS) makes for a total of 49 SS :-)

@Viruk I like your blog. I was looking at your Rougarou pics and started looking around.

I also played Warzone way back in the day and even did some play testing with them. It was a fun game and world but it doesn't hold a candle to Malifaux. I still play a Warzone game once in a blue moon for old times sake.

Got everybody pleged except for Sue done (minus bases on a few, waiting for supplies to arrive). On day I'll decide what I want to do with Sue's guitar. On the other hand, finished the Librarian I'd put off until I got to Von Schill, so I'm still at 66ss for July. For August...Well, I have a few hours to decide.
