'Towards' and 'directly towards' etc.

Ritter-Igel

Question

1. Please don't laugh but I've just read in this forum that there is no difference 'toward' and 'directly toward' in wording of abilities. Does it mean that if we have, say, 'the target is pushed toward this model' or 'the target is pushed directly toward this model' - it's just the same, and the target is pushed directly along the line connecting centers of the two models' bases?

2. Does Accomplice and Companion need LoS?

3. Does 'up to four models within 3' may make a healing flip' need LoS to these models?

Thanks in advance.

1 Some game effects require a model to be pushed in relation to another object, such
as towards or away from another model. When this happens the model must move
in a straight line while obeying these restrictions, moving directly towards (or away
from) the specified object. (Manual page 46)

2 No line of sight is needed

3 No Line of sight is needed

If something doesn't specify line of sight (and the word target as well as :blast:pulse:aura all specify line of sight as per the rules) thn it doesn't need line of sight

Just to add that :blast require Line of Sight to the target that the blast is coming from. The attacker doesn't need to be able to see the people the blast hits.

Also, as per Adran's quote "Some game effects require a model to be pushed in relation to another object, such as towards or away from another model. When this happens the model must move in a straight line while obeying these restrictions, moving directly towards (or away from) the specified object." (Manual page 46), when it specifies "push into base contact" that must also be a straight line directly towards - "into base contact" is telling you to push the model in relation to another object and it's best to consider "into base contact" to be a measurement of distance, not direction.
