crit strike and poison trigger

Falk

Question

The triggers critical strike aund posion say: +1 for each (ram/crow) in the duel-total. Does it mean the Card from the Defender Counts towards to this duel-total?

example: fleshconstuct Flips 12 crows (+ the crow from ist attack) an the Defender Flips 5 crows - 3 Poison for the Defender??? and if the Defender has def 5(crows) - should it be 4 poison?

No, because you don't combine the two results together.

In order for the defender's duel total to matter to the attacker, the text would have to say "both players' (or models') duel totals" (or "duel totals") instead of referring to just "the duel total".

Note that if you search the main rules for the phrase "duel total", when singlular it is consistently referring to that model's duel total.  For example, in Triggers:

Quote

Triggers will require that a character has a suit (or multiple suits) in the final duel total.
