Adran
Thank you for posting, its enjoyable to see how you play them. I've just started looking through, and already have picked up something that might cause the "alphastrike" issues. Myranda Summons a Cerberus in shape change. That Cerberus suffers from slow, so no charging for him. You might feel that the Luck was against you, but getting at least 3 10s in your opening hand of game 2 Is pretty Lucky (Plus an 8 for the spider summons). And still having the hand to force through both Joss and Howards attacks to get 2 significant kills when your opponent doesn't seem to have used their good cards before your attacks does suggest to me that you had more luck than them. Likewise I'm a little confused on game 2, when you spent stones on re-flipping against a 12, and then Injured Joss was in a place that he could be killed by 2 stones. Sure, Perdita can ignore his armor, but he can spend stones to prevent, and has hard to kill, so if she is at the point that the red joker kills Joss, he only has 1 wound. Sure the Red Joker can cause you huge problems, but against Models like Joss that have hard to kill and Soulstones, its much much rarer that the red joker effect makes that much difference. Were any of those read Jokers cheated in from his hand? I could easily see Hungering Darkness with Recalled training killing off cassandra, especially with Red in Hnad, or even being able to focus to counter southern Charm and then able to cheat in the red joker as a result of the Focus. Likewise Misaki killing Sandeep on Red Joker looks unlucky, but assuming she has 3 attacks with negative damage flips, you probably ougth to only look at 6 damage. With the red Joker it gets to 12. Why didn't you stone to prevent?
Nikodemus
Emberling is Mei Feng's totem. I assume it's just a typo and you meant Shang or Kamaitachi?
Fictor
True, in Game 1 - Turn 1 Cerberus was slow, he doesn't charge, he leap 5 + maul ^^ thx And yes, the Turn 1 of the second game I don't have the book for three Arachnids but have three 10+ and 9 for two Arachnids, best hand in the tournament Perdita doesn't kill Joss only with JR, she get JR and hit twice, the problen are that I hadn't have SS, the last SS I was spend cheating initiative, because Joss are engaged with Perdita and Francisco and only 1 SS doesn't works, better start to try paralize or kill Francisco. Only Hungering Darkness cheat RJ from the hand the rest flip with luck, it's normal Hungering Darkness can find the RJ because he draw so much cards with the lust trick. And with Sandeep I prevent all atacks with stone but no luck for me xD The Totem of the last game was the Misaki fox totem if I say bad the name it's that
Tris
Nice to read your side of the tournament, and thank you for posting - although I have to say that it`s sometimes quite hard to read for me.... (it`s things like JR instead of RJ for the Red Joker, also I don`t know what you mean with "As" in the report for round 1 - Aces in Jacob Lynchs crew?) You complained about your bad hand with Ramos - but you had 3 10+ to reactivate him, Joss and Howard, and still had cards left to kill Abuela and Santiago, which should mean 3 hits each wth Joss and Howard - not bad flips at all I would say
Fictor
Yes 'As' mean 'Aces' I'm a noob And I don't have three 10+ of , the Brass Arachnid have an action for give him + for the rest of the turn, but it's true I have three 10+ cards In the attack on Santiago and Abuela don't cheat any card, Joss hit all attacks and Howard hit the first with decapitate, and the other player doesn't have hand and dont use soulstones. Adran
Cheers, that makes more sense. Maul is strong, but Its still pretty lucky to get it going against Jacob multiple times off the 1 AP. Not Knowing How many wounds Joss was on, but if the Red Joker was the reason you died, I think you would have been better off with the stone to prevent rather than the near impossible initiative. a 3 AP Perdita in Combat with an uninjured Joss should have a good chance of killing him if he doesn't have any stones left. (hoping for 1 or 2 good rams for Crit strike, and stones as well). 1 stone left for prevention, and Joss probably lives. Your opponent not cheating any cards means either: you flipped really well, he drew a rubbish hand and flipped badly that meant you flipping Ok was good enough, or he wasted a bunch of good cards cards on nothing worthwhile that we can see from your turn set up, which when there is a decapitate trigger (which you also managed to flip with a high enough crow to make it stick) about as well, is questionable tactics. If you had 2 more turns in the first game do you think it would have been different? because it looks like you would only have lost more. Granted I can't tell how much you both changed plans because of time, but If I expected it to be my last turn, and someone re-activated Howard when Frame was in the pool, I might just have decided to lose the models and deny the points, giving you an even worse score. My read of it was your opponent knew of your alpha strikes, and used his card drawing to ruin your plan. Afterall he got his Frame for murder, and killed your main plan for leave your mark, which, whilst the red joker helps a lot, it looked like he might have been able to get her killed anyway after you took the bait without the red joker.
Fictor
1 ss doesn't keep alive Joss vs Perdita and Francisco if be necesary (companion) so I prefer try win initiative And yes in the game 1 with more turns I don't do nothing but it's for y played conditioned of my slow play oponent, more than 2 hours to only take 2 turns desesperate me xD. I play really bad in Game
Franchute
Just a tip on the Joss event: Perdita can either ignore cover or armour. So, try to keep him under cover. This would prevent Perdita from ignoring armour because she would prefer to ignore cover (I guess).
