Davian44
I had a few quick questions on how the Engineer's Invention operates alongside the Specialised Skill talent. Example: The Engineer has the Specialised Skill talent to grant Tomes to his Artefacting checks. He creates an Invention that uses the Artefacting skill and has a TN of 10(Tomes). Lets say his Aspect + Artefacting is 5, giving the Invention a base AV of 5. Questions: If the Engineer increases his Aspect + Artefacting, the invention will only ever have +5 to its activation checks? Does the Invention have the Specialised Skill 'built in' to it since the suit is part of the Engineer's skill value? If the bonus suit is not built in, does the Engineer still benefit from the talent when he activates it himself since it's not using his skill, but the AV of the invention? Correct, because once the base AV of the invention is determined, it does not change. If you build a clunky device and then learn how to be an amazing engineer, it doesn't make the device you built any less clunky. 1 hour ago, Davian44 said: Does the Invention have the Specialised Skill 'built in' to it since the suit is part of the Engineer's skill value? It will have the Tome from the Engineer's Acting Value, yes.
