Henchman Hardcore Question.

The Carrion Emissary's (0) Shards of Kythera: Place two 50mm Shard Markers [...].  At the end of turn, remove all friendly Shard Markers. Before removing the markers, a Mindless Zombie may be summoned in base contact with them. 

In the Henchman Hardcore rules it states.  Any Actions, Abilities, or Triggers which summon models are considered to be “blank” (they may not be used and have no effect on the game, as if they were not printed on the model).

Question is that, Is Carrion's (0) action considered to be blank or just the Zombie being summoned before the markers?

It's an action that summons a model, so it's considered to be blank therefore may not be used and has no effect on the game as if it was not printed on the model.

OTOH if it was worded as a trigger to summon, as in Lenny's I'll Love And Pet It upgrade, then you could still use the base action to place the markers but not the trigger to summon.

It's going to be blanked just like if the action said "Summon a Mindless Zombie in base contact with -target whatever- at the end of the turn" or something less convoluted.

Shards of Kythera doesn't get to work in Henchman Hardcore just because it's convoluted or delayed in how the summon happens.
