prof_bycid
Hello challenge painters, I've started this thread for December while Viauri takes care of some life stuff. The message below is mostly copied from his monthly thread: Post your completed November pledge models here with the total SS painted. Feel free to use this thread to post WIP photos (if you so desire), get feedback, trade ideas and hobby tips as we wrap up 2016. I hope everyone has a great and productive holiday season. When you have completed your pledge, feel free to post it, but Viauri would like everyone to post at the start of next month (Jan.) with their completed pledge photo and stone value for DECEMBER - this will make it a lot easier for Viauri to keep track of where everyone is up to. Plus, we get to start off subsequent months with some inspirational posts of what people have gotten up to the month before You can also PM me (prof_bycid) with your completed pledge if you like, and I'll keep track of pledges and pass the info to Viauri in one handy file when he's back online. prof_bycid
For November I painted the Arcane Emissary. 10 SS. For December I am going to paint 3 December Acolytes because the symmetry of this decision is calming. I am also painting up the old metal avatar Nicodem---such a great model. The new plastics have a lot more detail than the metals, but this model is just beautiful.

prof_bycid
@Daju The non-metalic metal and the glowing mushroom effects are great. Thanks for reposting to make tracking easier.
prof_bycid
@Viruk Great job. Splashes of color go well with the green theme. @SoylentRobot Another great set of Autumn Queen models. Very impressive productivity! How do you get so many done?
Rathnard
Damn @SoylentRobot, you were busy! Anyway here's what I painted: Yasunori (12) and a Jorogumo (9) for 21SS total. Not my 30SS goal but at least it's something.
SoylentRobot
I just really like painting you're only seeing the Malifaux i get done too! @Rathnard is that a Hooded Rider conversion? Whose riding it now? looks cool!
Rathnard
Yep, A hooded rider with the Rider's torso replaced with a Samurai (the large one). It took forever to get finished but I'm happy with the end result.

Franchute
Hello everybody, I was a bit away from painting in November and did not manage to finish something. I thus have to use my first joker. But, I'm back on track now with a hunter:
EggSak
I'm coming back from 1.5E, so I've got an old ronin model for December's pledge. If I can fit them in I'd also like to get my Viks painted this month.
prof_bycid
@Franchute It alll looks great: the model, the base. I would love to know how you did the rust effect on the hunters' armor.
prof_bycid
@EggSak In that case, welcome back, EggSak! Haven't seen that model in a while. Looking forward to seeing your Viks.

I would love to know how you did the rust effect on the hunters' armor. Thanks. It was pretty fast actually. I followed the steps I mentioned in this post more or less: By the way, I finished a watcher this week. Here is a picture of him with his friend the hunter: This is probably the last miniature I'll paint this month as I'm traveling tomorrow to my home country to spend Christmas there. In case I don't post anything before the end of the year, I'd like to wish you all a merry Christmas!

Viruk
Titania is done, pinning her legs was a majo challenge... More pics here.
Burnin' Coal
Wow ! Beautiful job...you nailed it ! The light catching her wings is superb...I imagine the pinning or contact point for her foot was very small...will it withstand gaming ?
Viruk
I hope so! One of her feet is pinned and the version which is standing on planks is also glued to them for extra support.
