Mccabe 2x of same upgrade.

So theory time.

Hire crew as normal. Take terracotta warrior. Toss say his glowing sabre to a model. Have terra cotta change any other 1ss or greater upgrade to glowing sabre.

So 2 armor mecabe with strange metal shirt or having sabre on 2 models at same time.  

Am i missing a rule preventing this?

TL; DR

It seems to work that way based off of card wordings. Loan doesn't care about restrictions, Ancient Treasures does. So as long as you conform to Ancient Treasures issues, yes you can.

So am I missing something about the upgrades that means you can't take two of it? None of them have a rare restriction. Why is the Terracotta warrior required to have two of the same upgrade?

pg 72 big rulebook "A model may not purchase more than one Upgrade with the same name"

That does mean you could get two glowing sabres/whatever McCabe upgrade you want without needing Terracotta Warriors though, if you use the Emissary and double up there.

Emissary can't have an upgrade that another model already has.

Ah yeah my bad, I've only played McCabe once so I misremembered. AFAIK the Terracotta Warrior trick still checks out tho

I daresay, having read this abomination's blurb, this possible duplicating effect is part of the model's flavor.  Dirty, dirty, dirty.  I'm also excited about doubling up on Nimble!
