graeme27uk
Do you make trees to scale? I have some small branches that I've cut down from a tree in my garden that are twisty and would make pretty good "to scale" trees. However, this would mean they would be quite big. Is this worth it? Vorschlag
I make mine from wire and green stuff to stand between 4"-6" so roughly representing trees 12-18 feet tall. Of course these are use for my bayou board and wasteland board, if I was making a forest board for lilith I might add some at height 8" or so. Thickness wise mine are all on 50mm bases with the root system sprawling beyond this, for smaller trees you could put them on 40mm or even saplings on 30mm but I suppose it depends on what your trying to achieve. graeme27uk
Well these "branches" are about half an inch thick and stand 10" (or more). I could cut them down to represent smaller trees, but a tree is not a small thing. All the trees I have seen are piddly little things. Myyrä
A forest made out of over 10" high trees would look pretty awesome but it would also be terribly impractical. The trees I use are mostly 4" to 8". They would be too small scale for a forest, but fit quite nicely to orchards or parks.
graeme27uk
May be being thick, but why impractical? is it a case of the essence is there?

Impractical, because players will end up knocking the trees over if they aren't attached to the board, and if they are, they will restrict moving the minis around. lusciousmccabe
Also storage can be an issue for tall fragile pieces like trees. I'd say you can probably do one or two tall trees as a centrepiece. The rest can really be any size and shape since the trees native to malifaux are all twisted and weird.
