Some of us just want the models by themselves rather than being obliged to take up the Schill set; also the more Librarians the better. That said, I could go halfway with you for 1 Trapper and 2 Librarians; maybe even a 'Freikorps Special Forces' supplemental set with a Strongarm, Trapper, 2 Librarians and Specialist. I think the Trapper being Rare 2 with no limit on the others honestly makes it unlikely to bundle them at all as well, though 1 Trapper and 2 Librarians might work. The point is, if the set has 1 trapper, you don't HAVE to get Von Schill, but you can get multiple trappers by just buying the box twice. That'll make all the "special" Freikorps from Hired Guns available without making too many new SKUs. Manxfaux Posted April 15, 2016 Report Share Posted April 15, 2016 Now a special sculpt trapper or librarian available as a first/second tier freebie on the next sale would test my resolve not to spend any more until I've painted what I have. At least they're models every faction can use too. Personally, I don't think a box with all 3 specialists is likely unless they are different sculpts from the hired gun box. Why freikorpsmen were released as a stand alone I don't know. In singles maybe..... But why should they? Von Schill might not be the best master out there but he's not boring to play, and his box set has great stuff in it that compliments every faction. Hopefully it brings those poor souls that obviously made an error in not choosing Outcasts towards the light, even though they were just after a trapper. It was the same why I purchased now the Onryos seperately. I currently have no intend to Play Resser Yan Lo and want to have full Retainer models to choose from. Hunt.er Posted April 16, 2016 Report Share Posted April 16, 2016 I`ve asked Aaron a while ago for a "Special Forces Box" with a Librarian, a Trapper and a Specialist, cause there is no way to get two Trappers otherwise and if you already own Von Schill as single model, it would be easy to add two of these boxes and getiting a full playable set (+ a Steamtrunkproxy). He was saying that if such a box comes, than after all other currently missing plastics are released. They thrown in the 2nd Hunter in the Hoffmann box, cause of the rarity, but it would have been more clever to form a box with a Guarian, a Hunter and a Watcher. It's like any master: "I really want some of the models in that box....so I could spend $30 one just one or 2 models.....but spend another $10-15 and I have a whole other master with a whole new way to play!" rinse and repeat. They're evil. Evil, evil, evil. But it works. Personally it's just some of the bigger models like Hannah that I have difficulty with the pricing - why spend $35-40 on a single model when I can have an entire new crew for just a little more? Guild Hounds are the same - they cost more than Hannah! But I digress. The point is - I wonder how many people buy the vS box set just for those models? They know this is happening, so if it is - why make it easier for us? I have the Viks as well, but sometimes Schill is good if I'm reaching the end of a tournament (or it's game 1) and I'm too tired to think about the precise positioning, synergising and activation order you need in many other crews. Kinda just want to throw something into the mosh pit, see what he does and watch him not die that, and sometimes I'd prefer Freikorpsmenn over Ronin, even in a viks crew. But I know what you mean - Augmented Jump is amazing (can charge even when engaged, and leap over terrain/models), but aside from that he doesn't really 'do' anything special. Reviews say it sizes perfectly with the rest of the Malifaux minis(unlike the female version). Hopefully I can produce an additional librarian using the kit. Maybe another Freikorpsmann and a trapper if the parts can be used the way I want them to be. Just need a little putty and away I go. He shoots things, he punches things, he makes his crew better, and his crew is pretty darn good to start with.
