PlastCraft Terrain - Circus

This. Is. Awesome!!!

Realistically though, I'm probably not going to stand in line to buy on release though...

I'd be all for buying a bundle to create a complete themed table, but the coloured Plastcraft stuff is not exactly cheap... I don't think it's overcosted or anything, but it's expensive high-end stuff. Now, if I'm to invest enough money to fill a table I'd be much more likely to shell out for a set that more masters would feel at home in. This is PERFECT for Dark Carnival, great for a number of others, looks amazing (can't emphasize this enough!), but will be slightly awkward for some other matchups and is extremely specialised... Some years back someone built a dreamer-themed table out of Legos, and it's one of the most beautiful tables I've seen. But unless I played predominantly Dreamer I'd rather get something else for myself...

TLDR: If I can manage to squeeze it into my 'faux budget I'll be all over this, as it's probably the most beautiful full-table set out there. I wouldn't get it as my first/only set of terrain though, and probably not as my second either....

Now, if the ColorED line of swamp-themed terrain got expanded enough to a full table on the other hand...

They must have sold big on Dark Carnivale to justify this lol.

Apart from that I am struggling to see how to use it in other crews.  A few select items could be used for Colette I guess, but she isn't a Travelling show. I can't see how any of it relates to the Star to be honest.

I suppose Collodi is a reasonable match but again, not convinced.  The prescence of caravans etc suggest travel..I can't see marionettes doing much work! But to be fair, I haven't read the latest fluff so Collodi may well be in the travelling fair business now rather than the abduction game.

Its nice, but I don't see it as a first choice set for terrain...

I think Puppeteers did actually perform in traveling shows historically, so could see some of this working quite well for a Colllodi crew.

I could also see some application of this terrain for Som'er and the Bayou Gremlin's as well.

I do like this.  I love Flying Monkeys.  I had to have that crew, so this set would be fantastic for me.  Will be expensive too though I think.  I'm not keen on this Plasticraft stuff over the old Malifaux Terraclips Sewers / Streets / Buildings boxes, when it comes to the actual buildings.  I bought those terraclips sets and have a beautiful 3d board set up and on a decent budget and the atmosphere and feel of the art is spot on.  This is the best I've seen from plasticraft though, so room to be optimistic over the future releases from them.  I am willing to bet that to get that table together I'd need to part with a few hundreds pounds.  Definitely given me inspiration for my project using MDF stuff.  I might supplement what I make with selected stuff from this release.

I wish the Terraclips sets would have followed this lego set style of development, i.e. smaller specific stand alone sets that could be integrated into the larger more generalized sets.
