  1. Hello people, I've tried like hell to figure this out on my own but have failed hard... I will demonstrate what we are currently doing in hope of exposing our mistake to anyone who can explain this more clearly than the book cause it's really holding our games up. Mah Tucket attacking random model with "Horrible Hollerin". Step 1 - I flip and add the card # to CA5. Step 2 - If the card + CA5 = MORE than the TN11, my cast was successful. Step 3 - The defender then flips and adds their card # to their WP. Step 4 - If the defenders card + WP = MORE than the TN11 they blocked it. None of us feel like this is the correct interpretation of the rule but is what we agreed on for now. I thought simple duels were always you against the number, not you and your opponent both against the number. Thanks for your time!!!

    Orphan Built-in Suits

I keep seeing for a lack of a better term, “Orphan Built-in Suits” Many actions scattered over random models seem to have arbitrary built-in suits. When a suit is included but is not required in the TN nor is there a trigger I don’t see the reason for the included suit. I have looked deeper in a couple examples seeing if there were synergy between models somehow but still do not see any correlation. I would love to have this thread accomplish two things: Be a place where people can find and post Orphan Suits Be a place where people who might be in-the-know can answer the mysteries. 5. Here is the scenario: model A use an attack action with a TN of 12 built inside, against model B. Model's A duel total is 11, model's B is 10. Who have to cheat first? I was under the impression that I read somewhere when the attacking model doesn't hit the TN, it would cheat first even if it's winning in the duel total. But I cannot find when I would read this information. That was a my fascination, maybe I recall bad the rules, or there is a place where it is written it? Have you any reference? Thanks!

    Malifaux in Nashville?

I'm going to be in Nashville (Vanderbilt area) for work the week of 8/15. Are there any regularly scheduled Malifaux nights in the area that I could drop in on if I bring my models? I doesn't look like there are any current Henchmen in the area, but I have to try...
