  5. Demos at Dark Sphere

Hello! If you are interested in getting into Malifaux and would like a demo at Dark Sphere in London, please get in touch - I would be happy to give you a demonstration game. My availability is fairly random, so I may be able to help any time of any day, but Tuesday evenings are usually a safe bet. Dark Sphere is situated between Lambeth North underground station (closest), Waterloo station (still reasonably close) and Vauxhall (bit further away, but still walk-able). http://www.darksphere.co.uk/shop.php Please contact me below, by PM or come over and join "Dark Sphere Malifaux" Facebook group. Tom.

Dark Sphere is located close to Lambeth North underground station, or a short walk from Waterloo station. I’m hoping to make this as beginner friendly as possible, and with that in mind I’ve tried to build in a little extra time between rounds. There will also be an award for the best placed “new” player to keep things interesting. To remove as much pressure on new players as possible, the strategies and schemes we will be using for the event are included below. This will be a 32 player, three round, fixed faction event. Strategies and Schemes are pre-determined and are revealed below. 10:00 Registration 10:30 Game 1: Turf War // Standard Deployment Claim Jump / Accusation / Leave Your Mark / Covert Breakthrough / A Quick Murder 12:30 Lunch & Painting Competition 13:30 Game 2: Headhunter // Flank Deployment Claim Jump / Frame for Murder / Accusation / Show of Force / Hidden Trap 16:00 Game 3: Interference // Close Deployment Claim Jump / Eliminate the Leadership / Dig Their Graves / Hunting Party / Set Up 18:00 Clear-up and prizes – expected finish of 18:30 There will be trophies handed out for the following achievements: From the Heavens! 7. Sphere's Given Form: Henchman - 30 April

Hello all! I will be running my next Henchman Hardcore tournament at Dark Sphere on Sunday 30 April. Event details are here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1223510771050770/?ti=as Tickets available here: http://www.darksphere.co.uk/p.php?p=77524 Dark Sphere is close to Lambeth North underground station, or a short walk from Waterloo and Vauxhall stations. Hoping it will be a fun afternoon of gaming - if you have any questions, feel free to hit me up. Hope to see you there! Tom.
  8. Hello All! I know it's short notice, but I'm running a Henchman Hardcore tournament this Sunday at Dark Sphere in South London. Hopefully this will develop into a regular event, but this will be my first attempt at TO'ing (*GULP*). The event will start at 12pm, and I hope to be in the pub by 3pm... beginners and veterans equally welcome. Rules are as follows (lifted almost directly from GG): Restrictions Henchman Hardcore is different from standard Malifaux in the following ways: All Crews must be led by a Henchman, not a Master. The game size is 20 Soulstones. All Crews must contain exactly 4 models, no more, no less. Upgrades may be purchased, as allowed by the standard rules of Malifaux. The size of a Crew’s Soulstone Pool is limited by the Cache of the Henchman leading it; any Soulstones above this amount are discarded. Any Actions, Abilities, or Triggers which summon models are considered to be “blank” (they may not be used and have no effect on the game, as if they were not printed on the model). Only one Scheme will be available. The same Crew must be used in each round of the event. Set Up All rounds use the following set up: Deployment: Close. Strategy: Hardcore Extraction. This Strategy uses the Extraction rules (Gaining Grounds 16 pg. 10) with the exception that VP may be scored on the first Turn. Scheme Pool: Assassinate (Core Rulebook pg. 68). This is the only Scheme available and it must always be taken. Tournament Rules Use Gaining Grounds to determine pairings and score the event to determine the winner with the following exceptions: 0 Tournament Points are awarded for a draw. All round times are 25 minutes. The event is unranked, and there are no prizes - come play for the fun of it and the kudos! There is no painting requirement, only that all models are fully constructed and if not official Wyrd products, must clearly and obviously represent the unit selected - if in doubt, please ask me. Dark Sphere is located a short walk from Lambeth North underground station, which is unfortunately closed at the moment, so the closest station is currently Waterloo. Directions here: http://www.darksphere.co.uk/retaillocation.php Tickets are available from Dark Sphere's website priced at £2, here: http://www.darksphere.co.uk/p.php?p=73062. Only 8 tickets were originally put on sale, if they go quick I will try to convince Dark Sphere staff to give us more tables, so please get your ticket in advance if possible. Any questions, feel free to ask here or in PM. Hope to see some of you soon! Tom.

  10. Hi All! Once again we are holding our doubles tournament here in lovely Leytonstone, because in all honesty we all had such a good time previously we wanted to do it again! As anyone who attend last year will tell you, this is as relaxed as a tournament as you are likely to get, and because (if you have never plaid doubles) the combo's you and your opponents can unlock can be frankly outrageous, but also quite hilarious. Please find attached the Rules Pack for the event. We would really like to highlight the tiebreaker points system as there is quite a bit you can do before you even attend the event (ooooohhhhhhhhh!!!). We have spaces for 12 teams of two players and if you would like a ticket, please send £30 for your team to twgc_treasurer@tanelornwgc.org – alongside the other details listed in the pack. First come, first served! Of course if you have any queries then feel free to post here or to message me on the forums. All of us at Tanelorn look forward to seeing you then! Teams PAID (once space is gone, it’s gone… till there is a drop out and we pull your team from the reserve list… oh you know what I mean) 1. We will defo win more than Palace - John Burgess and Andy Bradshaw 2. Something to do with BendyBoards.co.uk - Mike Marshall and Lee Batterick 3. Ancestral Vengeance - Connor and Jen 4. Darksphere team Alpha - Bradley and Francois 5. Dumb Cluck - Panzer and Eless 6. Old and Cranky - Conrad EJ Gonsalves and The Gedginator 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. Hello, Just to introduce myself .... My name is Matt and I’m part of a fantastic Wargames Club called Tanelorn in East London, UK. Going for over 15 years, we are based in Leytonstone and are only a minute walk from the Underground station. We play all sorts admittedly but I am totally smitten with Malifaux so thought this was a splendid place to post lol. Why I am posting here today? Historically we have always meet once a week on a Sunday (currently 2-6 with once a month a 12-6 session), but from 19th March 2015 we are going to be trialling an additional night of wargaming goodness fortnightly on Thursdays from 6.30 to 10.30. Interested? More details about the club can be found here. If you would like to come down and generally see what we are all about then please feel free to just pop in when we are meeting, but if you want to get cracking on the wargaming side, then please register on our forums and post in the relevant thread on our ‘organise a game’ thread. Of course feel free to post anywhere else you would like. If you run into any difficulties registering, or have any other questions, then please email me at mattc<......Remove..Spam…Blocker......>@tanelornwgc.org or if you prefer message us on twitter @TanelornWGclub . Thanks for reading, and if you can make it, it would be great to see you there! Matt
