  1. ^^ This one corner of my display board, that I started making to show off my as yet to be completed models. I also have posted this previously on the wyrd place fb group so if you've seen it before that is probably why T'other side of the board - home to the all important Still! Behind some flimsy camoflage lol View of the still. I made it with a piece of cork (covered by plasticard), a button, a bit of a wooden dowel, and the metal tubing is a paper clip I messed with quite a bit. I made some 'bolts' on the still, with paint, added some weathering powder for soot - first time I used it so I wanted to experiment a bit. I did a little coal fire under the whole still, sitting on a metal frame (matchsticks). The rocks are bits of cork left over from cutting out the rounds for the bases. ^^ Here's a little collage of the outhouse. here's the pigpen: (well it might fit Gracie. I didn't realize the wild boars for instance came on the bigger bases ><) here's a close up of my fave part, the trough: The idea is kind of a 'omg what would gremlins actually feed their pigs?!' here so I took some bits of left over sprue, some hotglue, and realistic water and came up with a trough of unmentionables. While the inspiration for the whole board is pretty obviously the bayou, I also got a lot of inspiration from living here in Georgia. The base was coated with burnt sienna, to help try to portray the red clay soil we have here. If I'd kept the foliage the way it really ought to be, based on how it grows here in wild areas, you'd never see the board lol so I tried to add just enough to help liven it up some. Already working on my concept for its next component, being as how I just bought a bunch more Gremlins that won't fit on this board lol but first I promised myself I'd actually build and finish some of the Bayou box I already have.
  2. I've just got around to writing up Battle Reports for my last three games on my blog. It's hard to remember everything that happens in a game of Malifaux - primarily because a lot happens! - so these reports are summaries instead of a turn-by-turn analysis. I hope they are interesting nonetheless! 50ss Ulix vs. Mei Feng 50ss Ulix vs. Shenlong Old Major vs. The Daimyo - Shifting Loyalties Campaign Week 1 I'll be writing up more of our Shifting Loyalties campaign games, hopefully on a regular basis. I'll update this thread when I do!
  3. Hi to all, my name is Nikolaj and I started collecting some 40k miniatures about a year ago (with 34 ). I loved painting those little guys at the beginning, but without having an option to play, I got bored by painting the same kind of figure over and over again. At the beginning of this year a fellow told me about Malifaux ... I really liked the style of the setting and the artworks, but was sceptical about the model-quality (I was told GW is producing the BEST plastic) ... I bought a test-model (Ryle) and I was really impressed about the quality itself but also about how well the style of the artwork was transfered to the model. Surprisingly two more fellows in my team also were interested in Malifaux, so I decided to sell the whole GW-Stuff and buy a bunch of malifaux boxes (The Kin, So´mer, Ulix, War-Pig, Haulers, Piglets and Gracie)... a lot of stuff to paint now ... I also had two games were recently. My gremlins (Kin only so far) were crushed... but it was damn fun. So here are my first painted gremlins. I start with Gracie (it´s the last model I painted) ... more pictures of some of the Kin will follow (have to take some pictures... and without a lightbox I am a little dependent on the weather)

    Ophelia fanart

I have seen some nice fanart uploaded to this forum category, since there's no fanart sub forum I guess this is the correct place. Say hi to Ophelia LaCroix and her kin, although they’re busy putting the fear of green on some fellas. I hope you like it.
