Thank you for explaining that to me. I just bought Malifaux a week ago and I assumed incorrectly that Df stat triggers were always printed on the card itself for that character - thus my confusion for not seeing any Lucious Mask DF trigger on his new, errata updated card.

Reviewing the first page of this topic doesn't answer why the latest version of the Lucious its card shows only a mask DF stat trigger as stated on said first page as being provided by the surprisingly loyal upgrade card when it should also have a ram DF stat trigger as well (again provided by the surprisingly loyal upgrade card - but not stated on the first page of this topic). The latest iteration of the Lucious card shows no inherent DF triggers whatsoever - so having only the mask symbol within the DF statistic on the Lucious card itself makes no sense when it in fact should also show the ram symbol as well.

Why does he have the mask built into his stat as a trigger and not the ram too since the surprisingly loyal upgrade has both ram and mask? The Lucious figure card has no defense trigger for stats at all - I am confused (and new to this game). Can someone please explain how this works?

Lucious should have a RAM also added to his Defense stat due to the "Surprisingly Loyal" upgrade, yes? ...Or...does the Surprisingly Loyal upgrade card also have errata? Thank you.

So...is it rules legal to choose Lucious as the Faction Leader of a Neverborn Crew and just use ALL Neverborn figures in this Neverborn Faction Crew with Lucious as the Master?

I am brand new to Mailifaux and have acquired the Lucious boxed set. I am curious how he can play as a Neverborn Master (crew lists). Also; Is there any fluff or backstory on Lucious' past and current activity with the Neverborn?
