  1. Penetrating Stench is an Ability. Penetrating Stench reads: If an enemy model is engaging multiple models (let's assume two (2)) with Penetrating Stench, does it need to resolve all instances? First, it is an Ability (as noted above) and it does NOT have a +#. However, the model engaging does not GAIN the Ability... It is also not an Aura (which would have limited it to one instance). So, assuming both instances must be resolved, the model, having cards, would need to discard at least one card (based on "This or That" Choices on p33), correct? If it gains the Stunned condition on the first one, it cannot gain the Stunned condition on the second, and therefore, if it has cards, must then discard. Likewise, if it had only one card, it could discard to satisfy the first instance, but would then need to gain Stunned (if able to do so - or the effect is ignored). TL;DR - Activating while engaging multiple models with Penetrating Stench will or will not cause multiple Penetrating Stench effects?
  2. Exciting news! Quick question: Are dual faction Masters in each of the faction packs or assigned to one?
  3. Are you interested in learning to play Malifaux? Do you know how to play, but need help connecting with other players in the area (south Charlotte)? Do you like beer? 🍺 Come to Carolina Tabletop Games (CTTG) on Saturday, October 13th, between noon and 5pm, to learn to play, meet fellow players, and enjoy a cold beer on tap! Yes, CTTG is a game store and serves beer! Brilliant!! Participants will be able to enter a raffle to win a limited edition, translucent blue Rasputina crew box – “Children of December”. No purchase necessary. Liking beer is not a requirement. Buying the Henchman a beer will not improve your odds of winning... but it won't hurt your odds either... 🍻 Date: Saturday, 13 OCT 2018 Time: Noon - 5:00p Location: Carolina Tabletop Games // 315 Main St #1, Pineville, NC 28134, USA Facebook Event - RSVPs appreciated
  4. The Order Initiate is Chimera, but Marcus bio still includes reference to beast. *Bold and underline my emphasis.
  5. Not necessarily... They said models hired outside of their keyword will cost a penalty... that includes in faction models. So even IF keyword hiring didn't span across faction lines, there would still be a point to having them within faction. But I do think (well, hope) that keywords would span across faction lines. Along those lines, I am curious to see if Beckoners even remain in NB... Lynch is going to 10T and 10T has a new brothel master. They did have the Mimic characteristic, so I could see them staying, but that is one I'm curiously looking toward finding out. Given the Order Initiate card has Chimera as a Keyword and plays into Marcus' master bio on the new page, i.e., Mutation Upgrades for beasts and chimera, I'm not sure he will have access to all of the same models as before as there are clearly new models to add to the pool. Perhaps the Beast Characteristic gets toned down as a Keyword to make room for new Chimera Keyword models.
  6. Why limit yourself to 2 master combinations... (Bold is my emphasis)
  7. There are definitely single CCG cards that sell for more than a single mini... even after adding in a commission painter.
  8. While I don't think he has been connected to the Dead Man's Hand pack, it was confirmed that The Judge is dead. So it may be possible for there to be non-Master/Totem models in there. (Speculative at best)
  9. You don't need to buy new cards if you have the app. The app is an acceptable alternative to having (or repurchasing) the physical cards. It is not mandatory to play (or start playing) the game.
  10. 0ss upgrades; completely agree. But I actually found some of the Wave 5 Master upgrades quite enjoyable and diversifying and to the OP's point (the one you quoted), allowed them to bring in some changes based on the fluff.
  11. They pulled their info from the release information on the Wyrd site.
  12. @Mason, you don't need to say anything... just nod if 7he new cards are Wonders-fully sized
  13. Yes. And at those events, per said document, TOs are the "sole authority". They can be allowed at their discretion. Talk to the TO.
  14. Of which there are actually very few... Local tournaments are not Wyrd run events. Find your Henchman/TO and talk to them. Also, was your purchase direct from Wyrd or a local/online retailer? If the latter, you need to contact them regarding a return policy. If the former, the Wyrd website states they do not process returns.
  15. Welcome! You seem to be getting a grasp for things... except maybe the Internet, where knee jerk reactions are quite common. 😁 I won’t speculate as to why Wyrd opted for them to be out unless TO’d in, but since they have said the models will be balanced and given that TOs/Henchman are there to grow communities, provide enjoyable events, and generally want people to show up, I suspect many will allow them. My advice to those concerned would be to reach out to your TOs/Henchmen and discuss it with them. They’re probably quite understanding and accommodating folk... After all, they’re also probably gamers with shinies of their own.

  17. Re: Card size (note, this is speculation mixed with some science) Based on someone else’s estimation (another member of our community), the card size appears to be 65mmx100mm. Based on Mason’s comment regarding available sleeves, that estimation seems plausible, as 7 Wonders, a popular board game (for those unaware), have cards this size (or there about) and have sleeves available from at least two manufacturers (quick search, stopped at two).
  18. Malifaux 50SS Tournament. Gaining Grounds 2018 $10 Entry Fee (to go toward prize support) Date: Sunday, 22 APR 2018 Time: 11:00a - 7:00p Location: The Mighty Meeple // 8440 Pit Stop Ct., Concord, North Carolina 28027 The store is opening early (at 11am) on Sunday for the tournament. 19. You’re right... I forgot about the Mimic and Guardsman clause in all of the excitement. Sometimes the mask/push is needed. Sometimes a heal will save the model. Sometimes a focus will kill theirs. Of course it's all situational, but trying to make the best use of your tools for the situation is part of the game. Does this gives me (and Lucius) another tool, I’m intrigued to find out.
  20. Assassinate type pool, making someone else (Mimic or Guardsman) the sucker and Suprisingly Loyal the attack over to them (and Devils Dealing for the stone over to her if the sucker can’t take it), bringing the sniper (only using just one stone per turn on that)... I guess stoning for the ram in Issue Command... or the mask in What Lackeys are a For (another once per turn)... but yeah, I’m not sure I see him using that many stones that quickly under normal circumstances. Then again, handing out focus three times (or healing later in the game) and taking a sniper shot will kill her and could be beneficial and that could happen each turn.
  21. That's fine, but you stated he stones for cards - it's not he - and in the same sentence say kill her (after saying stones for abilities). I'm just being clear to you or anyone reading this, Lucius does not stone for cards and therefore you cannot Devil's Deal off that card cycle. Otherwise, yes, she'll make an interesting battery. But since she does "re-spawn" back in deployment, it may be of limited use depending on where Lucius is on the table. But thank you for pointing this out. I'm eager to see it in action.
  22. Lucius doesn't stone for cards. You stone for cards which means no Devil's Deal on stoning for cards. Otherwise, yes, it would appear you could Devil's Deal her dead and then bring her back in the Deployment... at the End of the Turn. So, unless she activated prior to Lucius, you would lose her activation that turn.
  23. Illuminated in Lynch crews do this all the time looking for those Aces Yes, it is legal.
  24. I think it's safe to say this was already realized because in the final edit version I saw, there was an additional sentence added to each of these.
  25. The most recent Chronicles lists it as a January release.
