  1. This is fantastic information, thank you guys very much. I feel like I have an actual direction now. If I find myself with specific questions as I'm building I'll throw them up.
  2. @Surrealistik I like the look of that list. I'm going to reach out to the TO and ask about the 40ss list size. I don't know much, but I know enough for that number to have struck me as odd too.
  3. Thanks guys! This is good stuff. I'll definitely pick up Perdita and some Austringers. How do you all feel about Riflemen, Brutal Effigy, Exorcists, Witchling Hunters, etc? The way I tend to get into games I'm sure I'll own most Guild figures soon enough, just want to prioritize purchases correctly.
  4. Greetings! As it says in the thread title, I am brand new to Malifaux. I absolutely love it. The setting, the miniatures, the mechanics, all of it has me hooked. There is a local tournament coming up on November 5 that I'm thinking about playing in and I wanted to reach out for some advice on crew building. It is a 40ss tournament using the Gaining Grounds 2016 format. The strategies will be: Round 1 - Collect the Bounty, Standard Deployment, Round 2 - Interference, Flank Deployment, and Round 3 - Stake A Claim, Corner Deployment. My first purchase was the Lady Justice crew since she seems to fit my normal playstyle from other games (i.e. run up and kill that thing over there really hard until it is completely dead). Starting from there, what are some additions I should pick up? Like I said, I am completely new. Can I take multiple masters to the tournament? Should I be looking at picking up Perdita and/or Sonia as well? What upgrades should I be thinking about? I know this is a pretty open ended topic since I have no idea who I'll be going up against, but any tips and tricks I could garner from you wiser and more experienced players would be greatly appreciated!
