  1. Oh cmon. The only fact is that it is purely subjective. You are still ignoring it after the chain of posts politely telling you. And as subjective, your opinion, is an opinion, not a fact. And the traits that you might project into a master, are your own opinion, and it will have its own set of flaws and biases. For example the last point. Yes, it's perfectly possible. I am sure you can find examples where it is possible to have wrong taste by yourself where i don't need to spell it out (thanks for the wink tho). And being wrong about disliking games that you don't like is not what i said, because if instead you unite both paragraphs you will have the context to understand that i am speaking about how the way information about masters (armys, decks, weapons, etc, etc) tends to be distributed between gaming groups/contexts, which then tends to block YOU if you listen to that kind of people, and that's why i find this kind of threads completely pointless and damaging, since you will find yourself what you enjoy and what you don't enjoy better, withouth the need to be spoonfed feedback which is not inherently factual, it will just bias you towards those masters, and it is very likely that your own personal taste and experience will differ. Which also answers your second quote obviously. It doesn't make you a bad person, just a person who is currently doing a poor contribution which might missled or turn into bias for people with less experience which might read it. It's obviously not a crime, but i am completely free to criticize it for what it is.
  2. Because it's not the fault of the viks that you dislike the playstyle. It's nobodies fault. I dislike tofu hamburgers, but i don't pretend to think it's tofus fault (with the negative connotations it implies), i just don't like tofu. The wording is important, since you are directly or indirectly saying there is a negative trait on the vik's playstyle instead of the most neutral stance which would be that you just don't like the playstyle, because even you are saying it is subjective. And the second quote, the point is not different, because how people perceive masters, and how they pass that information to others is what leads to those situations. It's completely connected, and something that i had seen over and over in a myriad of games. I tend to ignore people saying that playing against X is boring because Z. It's just blocking yourself, and ussually wrong, subjective or both.
  3. Most of the time, the fun comes from the game matching your expectations on that particular game, not on the masters themselves. Fun is such a subjective thing, that trying to nail it into a list is impossible.
  4. Adding into the post. The terrain distribution should be very assymetrical if you can withouth being extreme. Otherwise you would diminish or entirely remove the advantadge of deciding where to deploy, making deploying second the best move no matter what.
  5. Anyone up for a vassal demo game on mid week evenings UK time ? I used to play 40k on vassal many years ago, so i am very rusty when it comes to vassal, and watched Dan's tutorial so i don't just show up completely unprepared.
  6. No deppression for Pandora ? I love incite as much as the next guy, but sometimes i just want to be able to spam paralizes.
  7. Yes, they are better at purely being scheme runners, my point was that the poltergeist is quite flexible, not that it is better in one specific role. Cheers!
  8. About the poltergeist. It has movement 6 and is incorporeal. I just run him as a scheme runner, who can perfectly reposition itself swiftly. But most of the time i use the primordial.
  9. It's different. I prefer voices most of the time, but there is something extremely satysfying about getting into the middle of a crew, plus 3 sorrows, and x3 inflict. The box, with the fear makes her much more durable, specially against minions, since it will force your opponent to cheat pretty often.
  10. to add up: 3) From the starter, Jakob Lynch's illuminated are probably the most intercheable because they are just solid to be played on their own.
  11. Rare 2. I am using The box opens, Aether protection and Fears given form. Makes her somewhat durable, but i wouldn't throw her on turn 1 except if i got an exceptional hand. But i am a noobie
  12. I prefer to get extra upgrade cards which i can lend to friends or use in the future, than having twice a master, etc... but yeah you are right.
  13. Thx for the info mate. My problem with the arsenal decks is that they are faction specific, and it brings a lot of unit cards, which if i buy the models, i won't need anyways. But the general, even if i don't play other factions, can serve me well if i continue to branch out, and the price (wave 1 + 2) seems about the same, so i don't find a reason to buy the arsenal decks, or am i getting it wrong ?
  14. Thank you very much, that's what i was looking for !!
