  1. Thanks for hitting some of the models I had in my GenCon purchasing spree... I still need more for options, but I went with models I wanted to paint as I had zero clue about playability: Parker Barrows and a Fistful of Scrip Big Jake Hans Bishop Vanessa (more for another RPG character as some of these are dual purpose) I understand the thing about Von Schill's group, I just don't like the friekorp models as much as I do the banditos. I'm sure at some point I will get some, but, for now... I also picked up the two player starter set... which may be my downfall into other factions... though Parker should be a good one to hire Mercenaries he doesn't intend to keep after the job.
  2. Why... Big Jake of course. Though, currently, he is still on the sprue. Hobby time crashes to almost zero when I am in a play, and we are in mid-rehearsal for 1776... so he will probably stay on the sprue until mid October.
  3. Definitely needs a thick BBQ-esque dipping sauce! My wife made some like that for Halloween, but those look far superior (and I'm safe to say that because she doesn't have a login for these forums... yet...)
  4. Stephan Rath's V-3 Series Miniature Holders and Grips is now live on Kickstarter. I'm not affiliated with Rathcore, just been waiting for the new version to release. Expanded sizes, easier to control the model while painting without touching it.
  5. Another good option is the Army Painter sets of paint. Inexpensive, bright colors. The Zombicide sets are particularly good, even if the names won't match up with what they normally carry. If you are wanting to dirty up the models a bit, I would recommend their zombie shader, but not their strong tone (unless you want really dark tint to your just painted models). They do not have the triads that Reaper does, but the sets aren't as expensive. I have one of the large sets of Vallejo Model Color, but I have not gotten my obsidian beads yet to agitate them, so I haven't even tried any of the paints yet... I would cry, but I have a backlog of my wife's zombies keeping me busy and not wanting to mess with them too much yet. Also, I have to clean and assemble all my Malifaux models, so I have time. I'm still debating on color schemes with my Malifaux models and I may pick up some of the fleshtone Reaper triads to round out some of my color areas, and to get a feel for how they compare to the other two that I have.
  6. Plastic cards are great, but then again I grew up playing with my grandparents KEM Cards. Just find something to put the stack in (or both the deck and the discard) and you don't have that problem at all.
  7. You should be good SoylentRobot. Others that had higher order numbers got Parker Barrows correctly when they got the box.
  8. Correct, but with Nathan saying "it could go any direction really" doesn't immediately preclude models. Here's hoping Neverborn teenage boys don't fantasize like human teenage boys or it won't matter what the art or models would look like... I'll just have to go with the little boy and his scary nightmares and hope he transitions to adulthood soonish. Partially, I'm kinda sad that he is growing up. That was the cool aspect of Dreamer... a kid perpetually lost in daydreams / nightmares not realizing what he was causing around him and as Neverborn aren't exactly on the same aging patterns as humans, I guess I thought he would always be a kid. Not that there isn't something fun about turning nightmares into your own source of power, so I can see how it might be easy to go down that path.
  9. Parker Barrows sprue arrived today safe and sound! Awesome customer service on this (though I'm sorry for everyone that has to pay additional taxes on shipped items)!
  10. This would be fun to do as a catalog of current pricing and classified ads... just time consuming, but fun to pull from old magazines. I'll have to look at my old National Geographics tonight and sample some images too. Oh wait... I have Malifaux books coming in tonight... CONFLICT!
  11. Ok, fair enough. Fate rippling will have to enlighten me in a couple of months.
  12. Just curious, you Dreamer choosers. What is it that you want to see changed for this Neverborn model? Creepy child unintentionally destroying the world around him is pretty scary stuff indeed. I think, for the most part, this is well portrayed in the artwork. What am I missing?
  13. I agree with the Neverborn sentiment on his artwork. I'm throwing my hat in on Jakob Lynch as the one I would like to most see reimagined. He's not bad, but he really doesn't just come out and say "Cardshark" or have any kind of Gambit feeling (not that he should, but it's probably the closest iconic figure dealing with cards). Also, I would like to see the Hungering Darkness look a bit more formidable, but, that's preference... Mostly he just doesn't come across as someone that could dish out damage or change fate on you, at least to me.
  14. How do you keep up with turns at your table? I have seen turn cards in use by Ash, but only the front of the PDF for that is anywhere to be found. Is there another source or are there other ways to easily keep track of this?
  15. Unless something has changed, it works fine. I submitted two in the last few weeks and linked to imgur as well. I notice that you are trying to use an HTTPS instead of the provided HTTP. When I look at mine they all show HTTP, so this might cause an issue...
