  1. I read too many words ... too blah blah blah the real disappointment is that the designers have followed a too simple way: + - 1 is not the case, we are not in elementary school. It's too easy. the players are waiting for a serious revision of the rules of some models not only by +/- 1 point. if you want to see Seamus again you have to review the whole Master and his mechanics and so on with many pieces. the shortest way is often the worst with respect Peppi
  2. Hello, I don't have Gremlins. I tryed in my club Ophelia 3 times (no one play it) with a std kin list, adding here and there Sammy, Merris, Slop Haulers, Bayou Gremlins and Lenny. I liked it a lot, so I decided to buy and paint an Ophelia pool to use in some event in 2018. Actually I'm painting these models: Ophelia box, Som'er box (just Lenny and 4 Bayou Gremlins), Sammy, Merris, 2 Slop Haulers, 1 Rooster Rider and 1 Iron Skeeter (gift from other Gremlins players) am I missing some new/old model? With the new upgrades coming, what model wave 5 / GG2018 do you think will be popular? thanks in advance

Thanks I read this FAQ: "45) If a model on a 30mm base is positioned perfectly on top of a 30mm Scheme Marker (or similar) such that the Marker is completely covered, can other models draw LoS to the Marker? Yes. A model on a 40mm base or larger would be able to block LoS to the Marker, but a 30mm base does not block LoS (nor can it stop another model from being in base contact with the Marker)." that assume the possibility to "block LoS" to a Marker. So I think we have two ways to decide if is possible to draw LoS to a Marker 1) Always is possible to draw LoS to a Marker eccept FAQ 45, a model over the Marker with a base of 40mm or larger 2) establish that "no Ht" is the same of "Ht = 0" In this case, a model with Ht 2 can draw Los to a Marker (or more Scheme Markers in pile) behind a Blocking Wall Ht 1 or can draw LoS to a Marker under a model (if any) with base 40mm and Ht 1 positioned on a top of it, while a model with Ht 1 cannot draw LoS to a Marker behind a Blocking Wall Ht1 (see LoS and Elevation) Is it correct?   6. Hi I don't find any entry about a scheme marker Ht. Is it "0" ? I need to understand Scheme Marker and Los / pulse / aura /model Ht , interactions. Seems that is common to say "0" Ht ... just a supposition? thanks

  8. is a general problem of the game, and a cause of the "why is not so played"...is too long for a skirmish game. I seen rarely in the 3 tournaments I made games finishing in 5 rounds (all with premade strategy/schemes for every round), very very rare, usually 3-4 are the norm. also in my club the games rarely finish within 2,5 hours, again with premade strategy/schemes ... all is very personal, the game is very deep and so on (bla bla bla)...but most of the people approaching a skirmish game is searching for a faster and easier game than the big brothers on the market, and malifaux is not the case. And most of the time is the reason why so many here stop playing Malifaux. Said this, it is still my favorite miniature game.
  9. well, if you search a solid and competitive list, this one won some tournaments here or finished in the first 3 places. You can use this list always fixed against every opponent/strategy/tables etc etc Leveticus Rusty 2 Wifes trapper trapper effigy Ashes & Dust Some upgrades here and there. Levi box, Von Schill box, Ashes & Dust, Effigy. The second trapper can be a problem because you have to buy a second box of Von Schill or find it spare that is expensive and difficult. Instead you can use Johan, a model you will use often in the outcast faction. Some will say that this list is old and bla bla bla. But when I saw the good results in tournaments with 15-25 people, I'd say is ok is a solid and simple list. From there you can develop something different. Enjoy. Edit: the third box would be Viktorias, with Malifaux Child and Hannah. In this manner you will have 3 good masters that works very well togheter. After that you can add Wretches/Plagues as cheap scheme runners. You will have really enought to play for months and to go to tournaments in competitive manner.

Hi all, A friend of mine is selling: Colette Du Bois, Cassandra, 2 Performers, 2 Mannequins, 3 Mechanical Doves, Angelica, 2 Coryphee, 2 Ice Dancers, 3 December Acolytes, 3 Malifaux Raptors What do yuo suggest? Are these enough to build a good competitive list or have I to add some other models? thank you!
  11. @mythicFOX I agree on this. I love the masters of the first book, the masters of many many stories in the malifaux fluff...but I have to say that still, my feeling is that are little "old" actually. Is true, probably is not correct speaking about their competitiveness in tournament, but more in the way they play. The new masters seems to me very well rounded and very nice to play with, high interacting with schemes, more interesting. This one is the initial feeling. Here in my meta if before it was rare to play in all the 3 games with the same master, actually is very common to see Reva/Reva/Reva or Sandeep/Sandeep/Sandeep or Zipp/Zipp/Zipp. Is not only a matter of new toys, or to learn to play the new master...is more "I like it so much, is complete, is well rounded, works so nice with schemes and strategies, why change a master if I can change just some models ?". I don't say is wrong...but... @saxcloud, Ramos is a very good option for you, in my opinion very thematic and easy to collect, try both if you can. Proxy them or play in Vassal with a friend.

    Ice Dancers

    Expensive yes but in a Rasputina crew I don't see nothing better than 1 Ice Dancer. I think that Rasputina had a lot from Ice Dancers! Some of my opponents try to kill it immediately (not easy indeed) other now simply ignore it (and for me Claim Jump is automatic and easy 3 points)
  14. Sandeep in our meta is winning all the last tournaments, seems really overpowered togheter with Reva... The question is this one: is Ramos actually old and a second choice as Arcanist Summoner? Is it a viable choice for a new player? Seems that some first wave masters are actually too old in mechanic to be good in GG2017 and more in general with the evolution of tha game (for example Seamus vs Reva and Sandeep vs Ramos, are two examples. What do you think? thanks
