  1. This is probably a topic that has already been covered, it's just to hear some views or opinions, A poll was opened on the Facebook group Wyrd to ask how many agreed or disagreed with Collodi's "hypothetical" official return. Obviously, the majority of users and I too responded positively. However, this result aside, some other users have highlighted the problem that Malifaux is currently becoming too large and therefore increasingly complex. Indeed, what makes Malifaux special is precisely the complexity of the rules and sub-rules and personally over time it has been a continuous discovery! The fact that the random component of the game is so mitigated by the various skills/choice of models makes it something unique on the market! In short, if I had simply wanted to roll two dice and choose to let the highest value win, I would have played something else, or not? 😜 But i too, like others, have the feeling that this is "a double-edged sword"; over time I realize that it becomes very difficult to introduce new players; many don't want to spend their time: Malifaux is undoubtedly a long-time game, which requires a fair amount of space, especially if not played assiduously; Others (I hope without any offense) don't want or just can't understand some game mechanics. It's also true that Malifaux is the driving force behind Wyrd, and it seems sacrosanct to me that new releases come out periodically. But at the same time the fact that they continue to release new models makes me reflect on the issue of balance (more and more things = less balance of pieces)and to tell the truth, as I wrote in other posts, I personally believe that many pieces from the first wave need to at least be updated and balanced with the latest things released. What do you think of all this? The idea of an hypothetical fourth edition scares me a little. Maybe Wyrd should aim to release a simpler, more contained game that aims to be as successful as Malifaux? Or maybe they should try introducing "very ugly" rotating formats like Mtg? And above all, should Collodi return or not? 🀣 And that's my rant for the day...πŸ˜…
  2. I can only agree. Aside from the toss, which could be quite nice but Teddy just really became a secondary choice. Like it, many other pieces from the first wave should be completely modernized, as they are obsolete when compared to the latest ones. In tournaments they always remain on the shelves. Neverborn have a lot of them, but for better or worse they are present in all factions.
  3. Very interesting! Could you, if you want, share your experience? Do you think anything needs to change currently? It's a keyword that I've practically never seen played; every now and then I try it, but I have the feeling of making a mistake or forgetting something... I could be wrong, but I also share your opinion on the obedient w. she should at least ignore friendly fires to be more useful. Furthermore, summoned rat kings can now have a maximum of 2 focuses, compared to before. I also find that between summoning effects, models for interact or spread out are very few if played in-keywords. For example, by choosing a midnight stalker, i lose too many points to have an efficient rat-engine.
  4. I'm adding to the post to ask: is it just my impression, or have you also noticed that Hamelin is no longer played in the most important tournaments? It seems like this since the doubt about the number of ap of the rat kings was clarified. I believe that such an iconic master with a unique playing style in Malifaux needs to be seen played much more often.
  5. as a layman, I continue to think that lucid dream or vivid nightmare should be reworked, at least for dreamer1: I'm not saying that it is a mediocre master, the fact is that the mechanics of lucid dream already imply the possibility of discarding even just high cards. (which in any case absolutely does not mean that by discarding them with vivid nightmares you will use them in the next turn) furthermore, putting half of it back into play rounded up is really a lot, and honestly it doesn't help improve the card drawing, and it doesn't make it worse imo. rather it would make sense to put a fixed or perhaps increasing number back into play depending on the turn. or something sacrosanct could be to put a piece with tools for the job among the nvb, given that it is the only faction in the game that lacks this ability...
  6. Many years have passed since your first purchase of malifaux, your models (especially if you have many) have had many battles in every sense, some pieces have fallen and become blunt and some swords are no longer sharp as it should... I was wondering, if Wyrd had the chance to ship some individual pieces upon request? It's true, there are some sites specialized in the sale of individual pieces, but usually the prices almost cover the cost of a whole new box. Would this be a bad idea in terms of marketing? (for example, I would just like a little something to replace..πŸ˜…πŸ˜œ maybe someone else like me?)
  7. I've only tried big hat with gg03 once, since the last errata: I have to admit that this time they have excelled themselves at wyrd! really great work! The keyword with these changes is really fun. I'm happy that they decided to "rejuvenate" some key words from the first wave. (I hope soon a revision of puppets or plague or maybe "vivid nightmares" ability 😏)
  8. They could take advantage of this testing period, to fix several things of wave 1 that can not keep up with the latest releases, in my opinion.
  9. If you scroll through the previous posts, I asked the same question. πŸ™‚ I've personally come to the conclusion that it's a decent model, especially for the stat 7 attack on wp. But she is not essential I think. Much better when used with Asami and probably Insomniac. I am of the opinion that the classic dreamer need a little fix again.
  10. Since the start of m3e, i've never focused too much on nephilim (perhaps because nekima has taken the place of lilith...) Re-reading her pieces a bit, i noticed Hayreddin better. Do you know someone that use him like ook, with some results maybe? I mean, he's really good on paper, potentially a lot of damage, and the ability to summon terror tots (which in combination with him, they might also grow, right?) It seems strange to me, but I've never seen anyone use him like an ook, not even on Vassal. I make also a slight confusion to understand the timing: if with "life from blood" and the "necrotic decay" trigger, he can summon from his attack?? Do you find there are more obvious choices between the versatiles? maybe vasilisa/weaver and dolls? Thanks!
  11. Noxious in my opinion, it is a more suitable piece for Mcm2; not that he needed it, since even Rogue N. works better with him than with Molly.🀷
  12. hello guys! please a clarification on an interaction: If I use, "bring it" on a model with "following orders", will it make me draw a card? Many thanks
  13. Kirai also has a fairly simple style of play and is very effective indeed.
  14. *Pg 31. Math - Moved to page 32 - replace second paragraph with β€œIn most cases where you are dividing any number, you will need to round any fractions. In these cases, always round the sum up to the nearest whole number (unless otherwise stated). Other exceptions to this are: Β° Dividing movement distance, which is not rounded. Β° Determining if a model is at half (or more/less) of a value (such as maximum health), which is not rounded. Β° Determining damage from falling which is rounded down.* Thanks Adran. That was the wording. But I'm afraid I made a little confusion when it mentions "determining if a model is half of a value". I thought it also referred to other cases, such as vivid dream precisely, not only to maximum health (as an exception to the rule) sorry for the mistake.
  15. please just to know if I understood correctly, with the new faq the dreamer will no longer put the cards back in the discard pile rounded up, right?
  16. I'm also following your post looking for some good advices. Yours doesn't look like a bad list (if you have to try it for the first time, might as well see how the various pieces work) but without even a death marshals, in my opinion you lose "the coffin markers game"; or rather you will only have Justice, who will be able to drop them.
  17. I think I'm lost (be patient, maybe I didn't understand), what is the difference between playing the widow and two wicked dolls and playing the latter, with lady yume? that you have the bonus to immediately kill a doll (for one scrap) and once during the activation of the widow that she will summon two stitched do you look at two cards?
  18. Thank you guys. Yes, I was thinking about these things too... Even a hooded rider with rwm. Or if you "unbury" a piece of course. Or places of Widow/Babdersnatch. But I don't know, it seems really situational, stat 7 is definitely excellent; but she doesn't cycle cards quite as well as in Oni! Nightmares don't even have flying pieces. In Oni you really can fix your flips, if used with accuracy.(which in my opinion is much better than fixing the opponent's deck, since it still requires winning a duel)
  19. It is undeniable that this young lady is much more performing when used with Oni. Perhaps discreet with the Dreamer Two... But with the untitled version of the latter? I think I'm missing something. Please, how do you play her?
  20. Honestly, just a personal opinion, but I really think there are other more important issues to see before Mad Dog. I don't think Wyrd will focus on these things, when there are currently first wave some keywords remaining on the shelf and we still have ahead of us "a year of madness and the arcanist"...he wasn't even considered...but those who have tried him, already know that something should be changed.
  21. I was reading just now that maybe the errata have already been made; the updated cards have also come out, at least for the models of the penultimate book. I really hope they updated the first wave models as well. There are so many that deserve a boost! I can't wait to find out more!🀩
  22. I really hope that both Alyce and A&D will be improved a bit, with the next errata. Other than not giving a summoning token to A&D when played with Amalgam; but Alyce makes no sense that she only has a walk of 4" (never understand why...) I would like (but it would be really an extra) she was able to drop her marker or move it with a trigger.
  23. I'll be brutally honest, Zoraida to perform at her best in the bayou needs some out ofkeywords/versatiles. There is no alternative. Because bayou swampfiends, are situational, meaning you choose them for a certain schemes, or in combination with other pieces. His keyword as you rightly noted is really huge. That doesn't mean there isn't a way to have fun trying to use the pieces you have and maybe be successuful in games. The best advice I can give you is to try with what you have, if you're not satisfied maybe try to play a few games by proxing the pieces: it won't be the best aesthetically, but even just some bases will be enough. as regards your question, you will only be able to realize by playing, which pieces are better and their best uses based on the schemes and strategies you will play πŸ™‚
  24. If you can believe it, there are also metas where the second round is almost not completed. If you try to point out something like this to the reference To, he isolates you from the group or puts you in a position to estrange themselves from the group.🀷
