  1. I think Taelor is a good model but they defo need to rework Welcome to Malifaux ability as like others have said it rarely gets used if ever; I would love it if it got changed to it triggers when models placed within 6”, please Wyrd make this happen🤞
  2. Both Jacks options rely on terrifying as a defence mechanism so if ur opponent can counter this he’s still a bad pick into certain factions ie 10Ts, Guild, Bayou & Ressers; it’s a shame imho but he’s still limited as a pick for this reason, luckily OCs have plenty of good master option as one of the most, if not the most balanced factions imho
  3. In my opinion Tara is still our best schemey keyword in faction. She isn't as good since the errata & GG1 (not top tier anymore) but definitely fills a gap we have in Outcasts but only in a very specific scheme/strat pool. Also she does have some bad matchups (mostly very aggressive mobile crews - e.g. Nephilim), a good opponent will just target Karina & Aionus which really hampers her crew. With that said she is still the master that I have had most success/wins with but don't expect to win big (on diff).
  4. No way is JD OP especially in OC, he’s a bit like Hamelin has so many hard counters/bad match ups. A lot of these have already been mentioned. I find he’s so swingy if ur opponent hasn’t played against him or tech in they can be in trouble but against an experienced player you can be in trouble as too easy to tech counters in. Again JD is generally a bubble crew which imho are at a disadvantage against more mobile crews which are better suited to M3e strats & schemes. I rarely will take him into a competitive/tournament game for this reason but thematically his crew is fun to play.
  5. Personally I find Daw to be very swingy especially in OCs (he’s just better in Ressers) he has so many bad counters but OCs is probably the best faction for him to play into. However Levi is one of his worst matchups in OCs, entropy will hurt him & marlena & abombs have anti heal tech which can be a nightmare for Daw. I wouldn’t pay 9s ook for Drache troop as u can’t remove staggered with Monty near by & I hardly manage to get much staggered out when playing Daw anyway. I don’t usually find Hans worth the points once he’s engaged he’s dead. Think blast & shockwaves are good options into Daw thou.
  6. Ticket for Andy Bushell paid today.
  7. Ticket money sent for Andy Bushell today.
  8. Is bleeding disease too strong? Other than a poor gun attack from the OW & Bennie this is the only ranged attack the Plague crew can put out. It usually takes to at least turn 3 (often turn 4 if your opponent is trying to actively avoid stacking the blight tokens) to get a decent amount on a model to make it a worth while attack. Assuming you can stack the following blight tokens in a game on a 2AP model & that you are successful with the attack actions: Turn 3 - target typically has 3 blight tokens = total 6 damage Turn 4 - target typically has 4 blight tokens = total 8 damage Turn 5 - target typically has 7 blight tokens = total 14 damage Total damage in game = 28 damage Lets compare with a standard range gun attack (say 2/3/5 damage spread - lets assume you are spending first turn positioning & from 2 turn onwards shoot & hit with your attack actions, as you require no additional setup): Turns 2 = damage 4/6/10 Turn 3 = damage 4/6/10 Turn 4 = damage 4/6/10 Turn 5 = damage 4/6/10 Total damage in game = 16/24/40 damage - so your average damage is going to be somewhere in the low-mid 20's (but could spike much higher) with absolutely zero setup required. Are these attacks that much different in terms of damage output over the course of a game? Yes you can perhaps say that given the right setup bleeding disease may give you more consistent higher damage output overall but this is really Plague's only way to get consistent high damage out in the crew (most other crews will have melee beaters with a 3/4/6 damage output which could equate to 24/32/48 throughout a game). The Plague keyword has loads of hard counters, blasts, shockwaves, anti-demise, alpha strike etc. The Plague keyword is not dominating meta's or tournament results in fact this keyword has consistently been ranked at the lower end of the Outcast faction. I don't see why people are therefore suggesting that bleeding disease is too strong? This statement baffles me to be honest, the only errata change to Plague has been to Bennie which has improved his utility within the Keyword & will have little impact if any on the damage output of the crew (in fact Bennie has had diseased aura removed, so less spreading of blight).
  9. I think the statement that obliteration crew “hands out fast like candy” is a gross exaggeration when I’ve had them table. They are a crew which are very card intensive, greatly more so since the significant nerf to Aionus in this errata. I doubt they will be seeing much consistent competitive play at tournaments in GG1...there are just better options now in outcasts even for scheming.
  10. The changes to Aionus completely wrecks a balanced & fun to play keyword. Personally I don’t give toss about the pass token trigger not being built in (although it makes the buffering ability even more useless now) but a target number of 7 on top all the stutter time Tns is completely impractical in this keyword especially on a 10 stone model that does little else. But if you haven’t played a tara crew before you won’t understand how card intensive she was already. With these changes to Aionus there’s little point in summoning or burying your models as the chance your ever get them back out from the void is greatly diminished...trust me I’ve played a lot of Tara & these changes along with some of GG1 strats will make her non-competitive for tournament play which is disappointing. Re ur point of improving some less played models I can agree...point in case winged plague unchanged & still garbage.
  11. As primarily an Outcast player I have to completely agree with this statement. I have to say that I really don't understand how & why Outcasts (especially Tara & Obliteration) have been hit big time with the errata & latest GG1, especially compared with other factions which didn't see as much play testing in beta (i.e. 10T & Bayou) & needed the attention IMO. Sad to say that this is the first time in 5-6 years that I have been loving playing Faux, that I can say that I am very disappointed with what Wyrd has put out in this latest errata. For me M3e is still in its infancy & a scalpel rather than a sledgehammer was needed to sort out some of the clear broken issues. Very surprised & disappointed customer here.
  12. Interesting it would be great if you could post in the outcast section as would really be interested in hearing an alternate play style; as far as I can see her main keyword play style is all about maneuverabilty around the board without this I don’t see the point in her crew. Into recover evidence as it reads now, you might as well run all OOK/versatile models & just summon minions but what’s the point of that totally defeats the whole point of m3e keywords system then? It’s a terrible strat for obliteration.
  13. Totally agree with this. GG0 corrupted idols had issues with Tara/obliteration crew & to a lesser extent with neverborne & bayou due to certain upgrades & models affecting initiative. Why introduce a new strategy Recover Evidence in GG1 which pretty much shuts down using a whole keyword & a core game mechanic like bury. Love this game & generally what the wyrd team do to keep it fresh & balanced, bu sorry to me this just seems like bad game design 👎
  14. Hamelin's biggest issue is that he has so many counters which as you have to declare faction & then master in M3e unlike I M2e where it was just faction your already up against it from the start. I’m not sure if I like this change in M3e, sure it was something to do with being able to tech in second masters to compensate but in most competitive play second master picks are banned here. The other issue with him is due to all the potential to cycle models he can be quite slow to play so isn’t always suited to 2hr tournament games. Familiarity from practice does help with this but it can still be a slow grind with his crew. That said I have being having some success with him. Into reckoning I bring in some OOK beaters & you can just use him as a lure bot to put out blight fir late game kills & injured early for your big beaters. The only keyword models I would use are OW & Nix to protect your crew. The only downside to this type of crew is that it still works best in a close bubble, which u have already telegraphed when declaring Hamelin at the start. My other successes are when I play Hamelin very aggressively. I take SoDPs upgrade on him for extra T1 move & incidental heals on kills. Basically you want to get Hamelin & RKs into the middle of the opponents crew ASAP to get max blight out early to as many models as possible. You then can follow up with OW, Nix & Stolen from distance to do big blight damage from T3 onwards. You will need a ton of SS & possibly some distance healing (hello emissary) to keep Hamelin alive for as long as possible (ps I wouldn't take this list into a scheme pool with assassinate or probably not reckoning as Hamelin will die at some point). Use him to hold up the opponents crew early game spreading blight while the rest of your crew can try & sneak some early points. Remember when Hamelin’s still alive if you can get some kills in he will be summoning rats & either exploding them or getting RKs back. If he gets going the cycling of models can be deadly. I agree that the benny summoning engine doesn’t function as it’s too easy to disrupt & uses so much AP that your usually 2 turns behind your opponent. But I do sometimes use him in the back field to act as an anti scheme marker tech. Add in a Prospector & he can act as some additional card draw & SS generation if u put Wanted Criminal upgrade on him using his bonus action to drop an enemy scheme marker off a rat. It’s expensive & you have to play him cautious or he’s an easy 10S kill for your opponent. Interesting thoughts on MW I might give her a try possibly in my reckoning list to add extra tankyness & anti healing tech. A couple of things to note from your last post:- MW only her gun attack ignores HTW & HTK on 2/3/4 track. Also soul tether only works on non-minions. I just realised this recently myself but Nix SToF ability works on any enemy failed duel not just WP duels. Really keen to get Hamelins keyword working so will keep persisting. Let’s spread the disease.
