  1. I like this a lot. Gonna have to spend some money. RL
  2. I found a train set at Wal-Mart and have started turning it into scenery for the table. The set was under $10. I may pick up a couple more as I have some ideas for some more pieces using more cars then are in one set. RL
  3. I agree about not playing much 40K any more. Stepped down to Warmachine and am looking forward to getting my Malifaux starter in the mail. Would have bought it at my local FLGS but the closest one is an hour away. They have a pretty good 40k group and Warmachine/Hordes is pretty big. Other then that it is hit and miss although Frostgrave has been popular lately. I am hoping I can find some good Malifaux games although my wife is interested so I have at least one built in competitor. Wish me luck. RL
  4. Looking for ideas for M & SU table as far as how much terrain I need. I need to know how many hills and buildings are too many. So far I am looking at two or three large hills and two or three buildings plus some scatter terrain in the form of piles of railroad ties and some scratch made ore carts. I will post some pictures when I can but having computer and camera issues today. Looking for suggestions
  5. As someone new to the game I like the longer reports. What I would like to see added is more detail from people who have been playing awhile about their thoughts on the moves they make. Comments on why they activate the crews in the order they do and what they are hoping to accomplish by using a certain ability instead of moving and attacking or claiming a marker. Also a little commentary before hand on why they chose certain models to use based on faction they are facing or schemes and strategies in play. If it is a shorter report I still look for the commentary on the why over the actual details of the game. I have also really liked the couple of battle reports I have seen where the set up of the board was discussed and the why of playing the terrain where it is placed. That comes from being a Warhammer / Warmachine player and not being used to quite as much terrain. RL
  6. Love the display. Where did you find the Basius product? And I agree...you only need one McCabe and your Miss Anne Thorpe is great. RL
  7. I love how vibrant the miniatures look. Great job. RL
  8. You have some GREAT conversions. RL
  9. Your work is amazing. I know what you mean about Orc...My current army includes 90 Gretchen and around 100 Boyz. About half are painted. Really looking forward to a smaller skirmish game and being able to focus on quality over quantity. And I am excited about the amount of terrain I get to create and paint as well. Have the starter set ordered. Not sure where I am going after that as far as crews go...probably Resurrectionist or Arcanist. Anyway keep the pictures coming. Your work is very inspiring. RL
  10. As a new player pictures or diagrams of layouts that promote good game play would be appreciated. There are a lot of great looking boards in the terrain forum but after reading this post I am going to have to go back and look at some of the board layouts again. RL
  11. I have been playing 40k and Fantasy off and on for the last 20 years and was getting tired of ever changing rules and large armies (although for some reason one of my 40k armies includes 90 Gretchen and around 100 Orc infantry). So leaving GW games I moved to Warmachine with the idea of a smaller game...and it still is a game where units of infantry are key. Then I stumbled on Malifaux at my local game store in Tulsa and I am looking forward to the 2 player starter arriving in the mail soon. Looking forward to smaller faster games that my wife and I can finish in a smaller space and shorter amount of time. I also am really looking forward to painting the Wyrd miniatures and modelling the world of Malifaux. Should be a lot of fun. RL
