  1. So I'm trying to expend my first faction collection beyond my first crew boxes and have opted for Neverborn as I really like most of the minis and story. The primordial magic mini is a sticking point for me though, I just think it looks awful and doesn't portray the description given for it in the book. I know I'll have to suck it up and field the vom-snake in a tournament, but as I'm only likely to be playing with my local gaming club so I don't foresee any issues with using a proxy. So on that note, does anyone have any good suggestions for proxies? What do you use?
  2. Hey, I'm looking to get started with Malifaux at my local gaming club but don't want to have to be relying on others for models. i don't have a lot of time or money on my hands so my Lynch crew is lying sadly unassembled and unpainted and I want to get started with Lilith as she's recommended as the go-to NB beginner master. To my great distress, I missed out on an ebay auction for a partly painted Lilith crew that was basically her starter box & the nephillim box and was pretty much perfect for me. If anyone has this something similar to this sort of setup they're willing to let go at a reasonably cheap rate, let me know thanks.
  3. Hi everyone, I've only just started getting into Malifaux and am putting my first crew together (Neverborn). I'm looking to get hold of the older style metal teddy as I'm not keen on the M2E version. The nightmare ones look great but I don't have that kind of money so if someone has an old metal teddy they can part with or know where I might still buy one, please let me know. Have Paypal. UK only please (for shipping purposes - I'm skint) This creepy wee guy: Thanks.
  4. Thanks. That actually looks great: Sundays means it doesn't get in the way of work (usually), unfortunately not in the case of the 15th though. Is this a regular thing as I'll try to make the April one. I might even have painted something by then. :/
  5. I'm just starting out down this twisty Malifaux path but this sounds good. I won't make it to this one due to work commitments but I hope you hold more Sunday tournaments in future. Will you be posting tournament results here? (Crew lists, etc)
  6. Yeah, it's a heavy-handed metaphor for Fate, I just wondered if it had any story role. I think I'll go with the suggestions here and base it by itself - if I was more skilled I'd magnetise it, but as I'm just starting, that would be a touch ambitious I feel.
  7. Hey David, thanks for letting me know: that could be good. Is it on until late?
  8. I like fluff. I love the stories and depth of characterisation in Malifaux, it's one of the main draws for me. I particularly like Lynch and the Hungering Darkness. I don't get the skeleton though? I was considering leaving it off his model altogether as I think he looks good without it. I've only got the 2e rule book as it's all new to me but I can't see anything about it on pullmyfinger or anywhere else. What is it and how does it fit into his story?
  9. Just stopping in to say hi all. I've not been anywhere near gaming or miniature painting for about 14 years so I'm essentially a complete novice, but recently stumbled upon some Malifaux boxed sets and have been tempted back. Firstly, I had forgotten how expensive this hobby is - what have I done to myself? On the other hand, the plastic Malifaux minis are some of the best I've ever seen. I've bought the Lynch boxed set and am rapidly discovering that I'm either old and clumsy or these are a lot more troublesome to assemble than I remember. I'm thinking about creating a wee blog to chart my progress (for my own amusement). On the gameplay side, I've got the main 2e book and am eager to get to grips with what looks to be a really fun system. If anyone knows of a group in Glasgow playing, let me know. I don't know anyone anymore who plays anything like this so feel free to say hi and throw some tips my way.
