Starting Soulstone pool is 35ss There will be weekly events from the Shifting Loyalties book, but additional little things will be added from time to time, allowing players to earn extra scrip Hideouts will be in use to determine a "winner" for the campaign to receive a special prize, but you can only collect building materials during your first game of the week. Cut 'Em Up For Parts will be used Masters may be hired during week 5 on, as that is the planned halfway point. Avatars are allowed but must be obtained normally (meaning you have to get a master first and complete a bounty). Game results to be posted in the appropriate store forum thread HERE. Each game you will get extra rewards for having a fully painted crew (including summons)

    Parker with Bishop and Hans

Dont forget mad dog can blow up cover too. also same trick works if it the convict gunslinger or sue that they charge (as long as they survive)

    Hans or Trapper?

I have always been a fan of hans but I never bring him to be a "killy" sniper. His utility is fantastic and now he falls within much more reasonable cost ranges.

    Parker with Bishop and Hans

so a fun combo with the new upgrade is put "Dead Man Walking" on a model that will act in range of hans. hans doesnt randomize so if they get into combat he can still shoot them

    What about desperate mercenaries?

@Mason likes to use them as they tend to be ignored by opponents. I have seen him use them as effective scheme runners

    Best starting crews for demos

If you want something specifically for demoing, I would highly recommend the 2-Player Starter Set. It has the perfect amount of models and complexity to teach the game.

    Murder Puppet the best!
  12. Hey Caiti! I am glad you are looking to join the program! So when starting you will need two painted crews to even apply for the program. These can be two master boxes or two small crews large enough to demo (2-player Starter Set counts). When I demo, I prefer to have two crews of a Henchman and 2-3 minion models, usually duplicates of one kind of model. I try to make the crews different enough that it's aesthetically obvious there are two sides (I don't like using perdita's crew vs Lady J's crew). This is why I like the starter set so much. As for game experience, no one is perfect with the rules. As long as you can explain the core of the rules clearly then you should be good! The biggest factor here is if you don't know the answer to something are you willing to look it up? By playing to the game you will learn the rules more over time as you run into the situations that you need to look up rules. Any Henchmen wanna pipe in with their experiences?

    January Community Contest

Hey all, Have you and your group ever sat around talking about an awesome new character you think Wyrd should add to its games? Have you created a fantastically thematic ghost town for your Through The Breach campaign that your friends can't stop talking about? Have you drawn up the schematics for a new construct that Malifaux just has to have? Well, now is your chance to pitch your ideas to us in our first monthly community contest! We know we have a lot of creative and talented people here, and we wanted to give you guys an opportunity to help shape the world of Malifaux! This month, the contest is to create a Person, Place, or Thing. The rules are simple. Write a brief description (250-750 words) that details a person, place, or thing which you would like to see included in Malifaux. You can pitch anything from a grizzled bartender who has seen more of Malifaux than he cares to admit to a haunted inn where guests mysteriously disappear. Our only stipulation is that it needs to fit thematically with the rest of Malifaux. You may include up to two links to images if you feel they will help get your ideas across. Post the description as a reply to this thread, and the one we like best will be included somewhere in the official Malifaux universe! We will contact the winner through the forums and he or she will receive a hard cover copy of Through The Breach which includes both the Fated and Fatemaster's Almanacs and an advance copy of Under Quarantine. Wyrd reserves the right to use any ideas posted in this thread, in addition to the one which won. Each person may only make one entry. All entries must be posted directly in response to this thread by 11:59pm January 31st, 2016, Eastern Standard Time. Please do not engage in any discussion in this thread as it will make the entries more difficult to judge, the moderators will be watching this thread carefully. To discuss this contest, go here:
  17. Well go on... discuss! The Contest can be found here.
  18. Good afternoon everyone! We have recorded all of the information we have received so far, but there are still stores who have not responded to the email. If your store has not received the initial email about receiving the participation packages, responded to said email, or have not receive a response from me confirming I received the store's information then they need to email me before tomorrow! We need that information to ensure the participation packages are sent out in time so you won't miss out! Have them check spam and junk inboxes too! Best regards, Brian

Ashes and dust with Saw or Parker?

A&D is a model I always want to bring. I am to the point where I am forcing myself to leave him at home so I am not so predictable. A&D brings so much power and utility that he is justifiable to put in any list. He is a great pick in any list that would like more bodies as A&D's ability to summon off of killing is super useful. And if he dies you can you the dust storm as a scheme runner or something that hunts other scheme runners. Did that to some hounds once.

    Rotten Harvest 2016

What do pumpkins, witches, zombies, and blood-curdling screams have in common? Well they are all things that usher in the Halloween season! As Harvest and Halloween approach that also means it is time for another Rotten Harvest Painting Competition! Round about the paint pot go. On the palette throw Royal blue and blood red. Thirty-one Days of Dread; Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and paint pot bubble. Miniatures can be submitted any time during the contest, though none will be showcased until the day voting begins. Submissions will be accepted from October 1st up till midnight EST (GMT -5) on November 1st, 2016. Submissions after the cutoff date will not be accepted, no exceptions. Your entry will not be visible until voting starts. If you need to make a change upload the image again and inform Brian Gresham via PM on the Wyrd forum to remove the old file. We will take two days to sort the entries (Nov. 2-3) then open the voting polls on November 3rd. The voting will remain open until midnight EST (MGT -5) on November 11th. The winner in each category will be decided by whichever entry receives the most votes. Every forum member has 1 vote per category. In the case of a tie, Wyrd will have an internal vote to decide the winner. For complete Wyrd painting competition rules, please see attached file. Overall Prizes The three prizes below are available once and will be selected from all of the contest category entries. Best in Show The best overall model in the contest: prize is $100USD gift voucher to the Wyrd online webstore on top of any other prizes or categories you may win. Best Base or Diorama The model that we feel tells the best story: prize is $50USD gift voucher to the Wyrd online webstore on top of any other prizes or categories you may win. Best of Wyrd Prize for the best Wyrd Miniatures entry (chosen by Wyrd staff): prize is a $100USD gift voucher to the Wyrd online webstore on top of any other prizes or categories you may win. Categories Each theme will have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. Each will be a gift voucher to the Wyrd online webstore for $75, $50, and $25 respectively (all in USD). WITCHES AND WARLOCKS Spellcasters of all sorts. If they carry a wand, cast a spell or even have a hint of mysticism to them, this is the category for them. NOT QUITE DEAD YET Stumbling around after all the major organ functions have shut down? Have a beef with the living? This category is for the Undead, or as they like to be called the 'Living Impaired'. THINGS THAT GO BUMP IN THE NIGHT Creatures, critters, monsters and other things that have a tendency towards anti-social behavior and prowl the night looking for victims. Caution, here be Monsters! TRICK OR TREAT This is our catch-all category as there are some miniatures that are just right for the theme but just don't seem to fall into any other category. Zombie Hunters, pumpkin characters, and certainly several miniatures we never would have even contemplated. RottenHarvest_Rules_2016.pdf
